<3 <3 wishing you a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY Ann <3 <3 Are you doing anything special today or has the weather put the mockers on any plans? We are in the middle of a right old thunder storm now and it is lashing it down. Thomas is hiding under the bed.
Ooh Frank what a mess .Blood is such a devil to get out of anything .I find there is always that faint brown stain. The nurse will check all is ok when she takes your stitches out. What a relief that will be for you.
I have not had a good night again.I had a fair bit of pain which kept me awake until I decided to take w stronger painkiller. What with that and the heat these last few days I feel like a limp lettuce.
Still no Fg??? I do hope she is ok

Afternoon all,
<3 Happy Birthday AnnG <3 I hope you enjoy your day and have had lots of nice preezies and cards .
I do think it feels a little cooler today ,over night I had to pull the big window closed a bit as it was really blowing in but it was lovely and cool to sleep. Sun's out now and out the front it's really dark ,I don't think we should get rain but it would be nice to have just a little .
Oh dear Frank I hope Ros can get the pillow clean ,hope the stitches come out OK perhaps your head will feel better once they are out and the head aches might ease then.
I had intended to have a lazy day but so far I've dead headed ,had a good sweep up of the rose petals that are everywhere and just hoovered through ,salad tonight ,yesterday we never had any thing to eat after the F&C with having those and the heat we just didn't want any thing .
Hope your beginning to feel a little better Jane ,have you got another round of chemo to have or have you got to wait for the results of the scan first ?
Nearly lunch time ,his lord and master will be in in a minute to see what we're having .
Oh nearly forgot ,the young lady who had the crash is still in a coma poor girl.

<3 <3 <3 Happy birthday AnnG <3 <3 <3 Hope you have a nice day, are you doing anything to celebrate it?
Oh dear Frank, that must of been a shock to see all the blood over the new pillow. I hope it can be cleaned and you are okay when your stitches are taken out.
I see you had a nice lot of F&C Mandy and granddad paying, not a bad price to.
Sorry to hear you were in pain and didn't have a good night Jane. I hope you have a better one tonight. Poor Thomas with the thunderstorm, let's hope it doesn't last to long then he can come back out from under the bed.
We were the same as you Mel and just had the lightening last night with no thunder, plenty of rain though, so the gardens would of like that.
I'm sitting by my fan to Ann, I'm lucky though as our living room is North facing so quite cool, unlike our bedroom which is South facing so stays very hot all the time, it makes sleeping quite difficult, even with a fan on. Enjoy your zoom meeting.

It’s just fractionally cooler today but very heavy and humid. We had a lot of thunder first thing this morning and one short sharp shower but I wish we could have a real downpour to clear the air a bit.
I hope you are having a lovely day AnnG even if you are limited in what you can do.
I’m sorry to hear you had a rough night Jane. I hope the pain in easier today.
Oh dear Frank, it’s one thing after another. By the time I post this you will have had your stitches out and the nurse will have had a look at your head so I hope there was nothing to worry about. You’ll feel more comfortable now. I had a smile at Ros buying a new dress and jacket for Lewis’s graduation. Any excuse for something new to wear. Has Lewis actually told you that there will be a ceremony and that you will be able to go? I don’t want to pour cold water on it but in the current situation most unis and colleges aren’t holding graduation ceremonies. Numbers of guests anyway are often limited to 2 per student because of space and most students invite their parents. I hope you get to see him receive his degree but, if not, Ros still has a nice new outfit and a girl can’t have too many new clothes.
OH has just made me a corned beef and pickle sarnie and a cup of tea so I’ll have that now and bbl.

Oh yes you will have your stitches out today Frank so the nurse will check things over.
I hope you have a better night tonight Jane but it's good the stronger painkiller worked so you got some sleep. I wonder what Thomas does when he gets caught outside in thunderstorms.......legs it home fast? :-D
The zoom session was good this morning. There were some new people on this one so it acted as a refresher for me too.
I have a big pot of chicken breast pieces simmering with onion, own beans, carrots and I've just added mushrooms, own courgette, peas and red peppers, garlic, mustard seeds and stock. I'll add a jar of white sauce of some description soon and see what it's like. We can have some with wholegrain rice today and I can freeze 2 helpings as well.
I feel a bit better today with it being cooler and have cleaned the hob and microwave as well. Not as impressive as Mandy with what she's got done though!

Good afternoon. It was dull here this morning when we left home but when we got to Evesham although dull it felt much fresher, I suppose it is higher up. We managed a short walk and OH collected (scrumped) some plums as he usually does this time of year, they grow wild now in what used to be an old orchard. We didn't walk far as his back is still a bit iffy and uneven ground jars it a bit. As we walked back to the car around 11.45 it started to rain and that continued until we left there about 2pm. Sadly the craft shop, the reason we went up there, was the only shop not open, they say on posters they are working out how they can do it. Pretty annoying when even the Works, a much smaller shop is managing to open
anyway I had £20 worth of garden vouchers to spend so I bought a top in the sale and a casual handbag made of material with lots of pockets and some sugar fee sweets with those.
Many thanks for all the good wishes. Yes Annx many thanks for your card which arrived ok, and thanks also to Vera, Mandy and Gill for yours.
Oh Frank that must have been quite frightening to see all that blood. I did suggest you rang the surgery about the lump, so I do hope it is not an infection.
Jane so sorry to hear that you were in too much pain to sleep but good that the painkillers helped you. Hope you can sleep better tonight.
Even though it was hot I managed to sleep quite well last night/

Mandy, I forgot to say, I had about 24 cards, Might have to have a re-count but there are a lot of large 80s staring me in the face in the lounge so I can't forget how old I am. We don't give actual presents as we don't tend to see each other on our birthdays as we are so far away from each other. However, daughter says my present is waiting for me when we go on Sunday. I had money from my sister, garden vouchers from son, and money waiting from OH to spend on craft stuff or something when we are away as the craft shop was shut today. grandchildren rarely send cards except one and that is Imara's Dad. he emailed to wish me happy birthday and to sy that they have not posted my card as they want Inara to give it to me when they see us. And third eldest grandson has just phones and, wonder of wonders, I have found one of my phones that I could hear the call by using it on speaker but with the phone to my ear. So, in answer to your question, a lot of cards but not many pressies. I did also have some flowerd through the letterbox from our friend who are in Italy. :-) :-) :-)

Sounds lik eyou had a good day out for your birthday Anng but a shame the craft shop was'nt open. Is'nt it always the same when you have money to spend you either can't find anything you want or the shop is closed or they have run out of what you want.
By the way did my card arrive please? or is it going to take forever to get there? First class stamp on too posted two days ago and I put it in the van myself in the collected post crate in his van. I sometimes wonder if they keep the post for 72 hours to make sure its safe for the postmen to deliver.
Its still raining here but the thunder has passed over. We had a torrant running down the garden and it could'nt get down the drain quick enugh so bypassed it and flowed down the garden twards my shed. There was a bit of wind from the east so its all wet outside the back door. The rain rushed off oh's workshop and he put a gutter up all the way along the shed the day before yesterday and a down pipe but we hav'nt gat the water butt there yet so it was comeing out like a waterfall. It woud have filled at leat 5 big butts.
Quiche tonight so nice and easy.

What a shame the craft shop was closed AnnG but it sounds as though you got a couple of nice bits with your garden vouchers.
You’ve had a busy morning Mandy. It doesn’t sound good for that young woman who had the crash. Poor girl. Was the baby OK?
I hope Fg is OK and hasn’t got fed up with us already.
I am so jealous of you people with your storms and rain. Please send some our way. Even OH said he was more uncomfortable today than he has been all week. A slight breeze has just got up so maybe that will ease the atmosphere a bit.
I’ve just completed my Tesco order for tomorrow and booked another slot for 2nd September. I’m trying to extend the time between deliveries a bit now I can go shopping if I have to. It would only be for milk and a little fresh veg. I seem to have gone mad and bought far too many carrots and I have a kg being delivered tomorrow so I’ve made a load of carrot and ginger soup. I’m waiting for it to cool and then I’ll have to try and find space in the freezer for it. The last thing I want at the moment is hot, gingery soup!
Aren’t the A-Level results a shambles? My granddaughter is among the thousands who have been downgraded and she will be appealing. Her school gets reasonable results every year so they haven’t suddenly made a suspiciously large improvement, granddaughter’s marks have been good throughout her course and she is hardworking and generally academic, so her teachers are unlikely to have overestimated her ability, but she still got downgraded. I do feel all our young people have been badly served this year.
That’s enough moaning from me. Time I went and started cooking dinner.

No Mel unfortunately your card has not arrived yet. Maybe it doesn’t go in the post as quickly as if it is in a post box. I did notice that cards have been arriving continually through the past two weeks. So obviously things are not back to normal in most areas.
Hope Frank is ok after having his stitches removed.
And I wonder where FG is hope she is ok too.
Oh Mandy that poor girl I wonder if the coma is from the accident or before and was what caused it. Is there any news on the baby..?

Well we had some rain at last......no watering needed tonight! It was quite heavy and the washing was out so we had to scramble to fetch it in and shut the patio door and back door. It must have rained for about an hour but no thunder or lightning.
You had a lot of cards AnnG! I didn't realise it was your 80th this time. It sounds a lot older than you seem to be if that makes sense. :-D Pity the craft shop was shut, but you will be able to treat yourself with the money pressies on what you like. I much prefer doing that to having lots of 'surprises' unless they are from people who will know what I like. I'll never forget getting a grotesque glass fish from my just teenage brother a few years after I was married. Every time he came round we had to get it out and stick it on the bathroom windowsill! I couldn't hurt his feelings, so we did this for a few years till he found girls more interesting than visiting his sister.
I bet that little baby is missing it's mum too. It's usually mum they want most when they get fractious and upset.
I bet our butts have been filling up nicely Mel. Will you be sticking a butt under the shed drainpipe?

Been dry here this evening but all the garden has been bashed around by wind and rain the last two days.

Oh told me to turn the pc off when we had the storm and then he promply lay on the bed and fell asleep. Don't touch any metal was my last order so I got a nice damp sponge and cleaned all the windowsill in the kitchen, spare room and they needed it badly, bedroom, bathroom and uti room. Not a dead fly or poop in sight now. Having the bedroom window open all the time I get lot of little midges in there and somethings been biting me in the night and its not oh.
Yes where is FG I do hope she's ok and all the family.
I wonder hw Frank got on today. He did'nt come back and tell us did he? Hope its all ok and the headaches go now the stitches are out. Did he ever tell us what he hit his jead on to slit it pen lik ethat?

Morning all,
It was much cooler last night in fact to cool to sit out during the evening like we had been doing but I did get a better nights sleep.
AnnG that was a nice lot of cards you had ,what a shame the craft shop was closed so you couldn't get some bits and pieces for your crafting . So you have Sunday to look forward to ,it will be like having two birthdays :-D
No rain here over night ,it's very cloudy this morning and I can just see a few spits of rain on the window ,it's also now brightening up so do I hang washing out or not .
Mel how are all your bites ? I had a couple right behind my knee talk about irritating especially at night when trying to sleep.
Hope Frank is OK after having his stitches out .

Morning Mandy and all,
Cloudy here too this morning but much cooler which is good. Glad you had a better night Mandy and yes the bites do start to itch at night. I have a few more now on the other leg up the top and still the three on the side of my boob are itching and the two on the insdie of my thigh one on the top of my left arm and one on my back. They get you in the places where elastic goes too like round the top of my socks
Just to let you all know that FG is ok but has forgotten to renew her sub after the first month but is having family problems at the mo but she will be back. She dos'nt want you all to worry about her so emailed me.
I must send my Saturday list to the shop today as I usually do it on a Thursday but forgot. They like to have most things ready and then I can get the bits I need when I go there as I like to choose the steak and see how big the ham is to know how many slices I need.

Good morning to you all, Sorry I didn't get back to you yesterday.
I got to the surgery for 12.25, thinking I would be the last one going in, as they close at 12.30 pm. When I walked in the waiting room, there was a STRANGE MANwaking around, suddenly the nurse called him in, believe it or not but he was in there for FORTY FIVE MINUTES. So I was very late getting seen. Poor Roswas sat in the car waiting for me. Alls good apart from the LUMPis still there, and slowly going down.
Ros picked up a bagful of windfalls yesterday, so I have been coring, peeling and slicing apples. I have stewed two saucepans down. They are now in a big mixing bowl, cooling down, ready to be bagged up and frozen.
What a thunder storm we had yesterday. We have had more rain this morning, and the sky looks full of rain. So no doubt we will get more today.
Belated birthday wishes Ann, trust me to forget to post on your birthday. What's it like joining the EIGHTY CLUB. ?? You certainly have the right attitude, many more birthdays and why not. xxxx
Simon and Sally have just rung. They have been shopping, and decided to call on the way home. We lost the signal, so he rang again when he got home. Sally has a birthday on Sunday, so Simon is getting her grandchildren over for the afternoon
Well I trust you are all well, I am going to get a coffee, and sit in the conservatory for a while with my book. Stay safe. xxxx
