I am not sure what those “Untitled Attachment “ things are. I often get them with pictures that are sent to me and I just ignore them. I only sent two pics of Noddy’s head. He’s even more impressive when you see the whole figure :-)

Morning Mel and all
I didn’t have a brilliant night so am going to have a bit of a lie in.Yesterday went fine.
Thanks for the Noddy pics Vera.As much as I love Noddy I don’t like that one.Why would anyone want something so large in their small front garden.I can imagine though that children love to see him :-D
I think it is going to be a lovely day today not too hot like tomorrow is going to be Just going to snuggle down again.

Enjoy your snuggle Jane I expect yesterday was exhausting. I agree about that Noddy b ut I wondered if it was done for the children. He looks like those models that stand outside shops with a charity box.
good morning all, sunny here, not sure what we are doing but I think OH wants to 'go' somewhere. so we have our thinking caps on. Slept well last night. :-) :-)

I wonder where T will choose to go Anng? No doubt you will tell us once you've been.
Baby Bob has one red feather on his breast now and comes to my hand several time a day whenever he sees me come out the back door he's there looking at me. Even if I am at my shed he comes as I keep some worms in there too.
Enjoy your snuggle Jane and glad it all went off well yesterday. When one of our neighbours was having chemo he was'nt aloud any dairy and I wondered if it was the same for you? Is Thomas snuggling with you.
I wonder how Island is today? Hope she's not in too much pain and can get on with the garden or craft.
I must wash my glasses as I seem to have a lot of grease on them.

Morning all
The sun is a shining..... and matey boy down the road has taken the opportunity to trim a hedge with a very noisy piece of kit! Grrr... back indoors until he's done.
Mel, thanks. My hand is fine now, it doesn't trouble me often and only lasts for a day or two. It seems to be inflamation in the tendon and only hurts (like hell!) if I try to straighten my fingers. Life must be difficult for people who can only use one hand for rather longer. So, plenty to catch up on!
Wishing Jane well.
Thanks for the 'right click, undo' tip Annx (?) Marvellous! :-D

Afternoon all
Bright and sunny after a wet start to the week.
Thanks for your good wishes for OH, the slow release antibiotic seems to be working and he's sleeping a little better now, still having problems eating but that'll come once the antibiotics have done their thing. If the injections don't completely get rid of the infection he'll have some tablet ones next week when he see's the dentist again.
Take care of yourself Jane, enjoy your snuggle, sorry you didn't have a good night last night and hope you have a better one tonight. Pleased to see yesterday went okay.
I finally picked some tomatoes, all 5 of them, they turned out to be cherry ones, but I don't think we're going to have many more, the flowers seem to be dying off rather than producing any toms, so I might just make myself a cheese and tom sandwich with the few I have got. We haven't grown anything else this year, but i see everyone is having bumper crops this year, the pics are great.
I'm so tired I had a terrible nights sleep last night, kept waking up all the time, so I think I might go and have a lie down, I can hardly keep my eyes open.

Lovely day here so we had a nice walk on the beach before all the hordes arrive this w/end! The rest of the day we shall just sit outside and relax! A friend of ours wasn't allowed sugar when he was being treated as apparently cancer thrives on sugar so he substituted it for honey. I don't know about dairy though. Last night Abby had a swollen eye, maybe a fly bite? We treated it with Optrex and this morning it is much better. This afternoon I have got one job and that is to clean her teeth. I knew there was something!!

Afternoon to you all,
Glad everything went of O/K. Yesterday Jane. Keep yourself comfortable and rest when you need too.
Just had a blast at our local Council, to report, some complete IDIOT that has decided to light A BONFIRE. Looking down the close, most people have their windows open, including ours. How inconsiderate some people can be. The Council said one of a member of staff would look into it. I won't hold my breath.
Not a brilliant night last night, but a lovely sunny day here today. I am in shorts reading my book on the patio. I have put a hat on, so I don't get my head burnt.
Ros has had a BIG sort out of loads of materials that she has collected over the years. It's all gone up in the ATTIC. Why she didn't throw it away, I just don't know. Gawd help the boys, when they have that to sort out, when the time comes. lol lol The conservatory is looking EMPTY. !!! But there is still more stuff that needs sorting..
I decided not to try doing my lawns. So have rung Barry, he is in the village again tomorrow, so he can do them. It's just getting too much for me, to trundle up and down the back lawn, which it quite big.
Gill, Only 5 toms ?? didn't you plant enough seeds. We have at least 9 plants in the greenhouse and another 4 pots outside. Those are still in flower. So should be loads of time to come.
Back to my book, I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful sunshine. WARNING Cover up, and don't get burnt. xxxx

Frank Gill was given her plants from her mum. Not sure how many she has but I think two. I have two also and the toms are ripening now. I may even give them a day in the sunshine out of the shed as its not too windy today.
Gill if you have a water spray spray the flowers on your tom plants with water or a fine spray on the hose. Now you have picked some they may think about making some more. Hope the injections do last and oh has more releae from the pain of his teeth.
Glad your not in pain today Island and can get on with things.
Right feed the hungry now. Oh is out painting his sunflowers on the side of his workshop. I had to mix him up some brown for their centers.
I have cleaned the bathroom and am going to get some lunch and see if there's another load of washing that can go in now one lots on the line. This afternoon I MUST tie my sweet peas up. I have been promissing them for days now and I will give them a good feed too. They went in very late as the planter oh made me for them to go in was too deep and so he cut one plank off the top.
Frank its good that Barry will come and cut your lawns tomorrow. We don't need you having another fall or tiring yourself too much you stay safe in your chair with your books.
FG sounds like you enjoyed your walk on the beach before the crowds come down. I really miss going to Bideford every week and seeing the sea.

Good afternoon all. We drove down the M5 two junctions to J13 and fought the roadworks where they are altering a road junction due to having to build a tunnel to take the refurbished (Ongoing refurbishment) Stroudwater canal. We drove down to Saul Junction. really didn't think there would be many people down there but there were loads, oldies like us who are the usual people there and families with children and dogs. Easy to avoid people though and the little cafe there was well set out with an outside shack to purchase from, a one way system and well spaced tables. We found an isolated table under a tree and shared a sausage sandwich with our coffee and sat people watching. After we had finished we walked a little way along the tow path, it was too hot to walk the almost 3 miles we usually do round Frampton on Severn but it was a nice gentle walk where we saw very few people and lots of boats and wild flowers. We returned to the junction and found an empty seat (most people had taken their own chairs which was good for us, we sat, without touching the seat and shared a banana then walked along the adjacent tow path to the Stroudwater Canal across the bridge. We walked as far as we could which at the moment is to the Whitminster road by Whitminster House. The canal continues the other side of the road but has not been opened yet and there is no access for boats as the road is there. Along the tow path they were cutting down trees and we were lucky to get past to the end during their lunch break. We also managed to get back again before they started. If we had been cut off from returning it would have been about a mile walk round the lane. The weather was beautiful and it was so lovely to be by the water of the canal where there was a slight breeze. When we got home at 2.30 it was 26 degrees,

Afternoon,
Lovely day but a bit too hot for me outside now. We had just got lunch on our plates and drinks ready to take outside to sit and eat and the flipping window cleaner turned up!! So indoor lunch for us today. OH was out early watering everything as we were both too tired last night.
Some great emails Frank and the duckling with the cat was lovely. I hope you are giving your white friend a rest today and feel better now. As for British Heart foundation, we had trouble with them not accepting furniture when MIL was in hospital and we needed to have a bed downstairs for her urgently. They are keen to collect on the phone, but only want things they can make a lot of money on when they turn up! OH said he would never donate anything to them ever again. Those and Macmillan nurses for the way they treated his mum when she was terminally ill are 2 charities he won't ever support now!
Vera, I have started to rest up a bit before the wipe down days now as it is exhausting by the time you are done. I hope you have a nice visit to see your brother. It will be good for him too and I hope he is well now.
It seems a few of us, me included, have downsized now we are older. My previous back garden was 55 feet wide and 100 feet long and was a bit much for me on my own in my 50s and working full time. I thought I'd miss it, but woke up the first morning here feeling relief at the burden of it all being lifted, as my job by then was very demanding too. Now I much prefer our plot that's half the size.
I wonder where AnnG got to on her trip out today?
Glad everything went well yesterday Jane and I hope the cap was easier to put on with you having shorter hair now. Have a nice rest till you start to feel better again. I was thinking about names for the new baby. Then I wondered if there might be a welsh name in the hat. They won't be choosing 'Owen' will they! :-)
Gill that's a relief the injections are working for your OH now so he can get some sleep. The poor man suffering so long. Keep feeding and watering your toms. Sometimes it takes a while after the flowers wither before you can see tiny toms.
Thanks for mentioning the Chateau prog Mandy .....I have recorded it now! :-)
I hope the swelling has gone down in Abby's eye Fg. They stick their heads in all sorts don't they! Is she like a smaller version of an Airedale? I would enjoy pottering about on a beach just now, but like you would steer clear of the hordes, even in normal times!
That sounds very painful Island. It does sound like inflammation causing it. It's a good job it only lasts a day or two.
How nice that Baby Bob is following you Mel. I'd like to think he was a descendant of the lovely Robbie that sat on your hand. :-)

Annx I posted about our day just before you.
And our window cleaner apparently came while we were out so he will have to come back for his money. He was due on Monday too the same as yours, how strange!!
I have heard that sort of thing regarding the Heart Foundation before so we have never bothered to try and donate furniture. However we have nothing but good to say about McMillan nurses, they were wonderful when Son in Law was dying. I suppose like everything else it depends on the people you are dealing with.

Yes Abby is a West Highland Terrier, (a Westie) I've tried downloading her pic on the avatar but it is 'down and to try again later!!' Yes her eye is fine I've bathed it this pm, after her teeth were cleaned, so she's a generally clean girl!!! I have to echo AnninGlos, our experience of McMillan nurses is first class, we couldn't have asked for better care, sympathy and professionalism, totally brilliant. But as has been said, I guess it's who you are dealing with. Lovely evening, supper outside!

Do you call 5.12pm evening? I call it late afternoon and corn time for the chickens.
I have at last tied up the sweet peas. There are only three flowers out on them but as I was tieing them in I could smell their lovely fragrance. I may have to pick those two to have on my desk so I can enjoy them.
One of my Heucheras was looking a bit sad and I thought it needed water but when I lifted the leaves it came off the pot completely. Those blimmin vine weevils were in it so I took it down the shed and gave the pot of soil to the bantams in their litter tray. They soon clear up any nasties in the soil and have a dirt bath too.
Oh had a little session of watching the back of his eyelids after lunch while I did the sweet peas and then came out and started on his masterpiece again. He is mad on sunflowers. When he's done a bit more I will take a pic to show you. More stencils arrived today, 5 in all but only two he wants to use. He is sitting right in the sun as that side of the shed is south facing.
I bet we've made a lot on the old solar today.
Now I am going to make myself and oh a drink and then feed the sweet peas.
One of my tom plants looks like it has fungus two thirds up the stem. Not sure whether to cut it off or just leave it and see how it goes. Its the fatest plant too with two good sized trusses on.
FG oh had two westies before he was with me.

Perhaps I should have said early evening! I was only really saying that as its so lovely we shall be eating outside which we're just about to do. Tomorrow we have a fruit and veg shop in, then son and family will be here on Saturday and so the week goes on! Glad everything went well yesterday Jane. Hope you're not feeling so tired now
