Cloudy old morning here! We've decided to go to Lydls this morning, we had planned to go on Wednesday, but it's so gloomy that we thought a trip this am would help the day along! Goodness Annx, do you think people still share a toothbrush in this day and age?!! I must admit I've never ever met anyone who did, but I guess it's possible! YUK!!!! A quick walk (Mr Fgs turn!!)!) then we're off! Hope everyone has a satisfactory day :-)

Morning All Just a quick post from me now as I have to go for blood test. I hope all goes well with your check up today Ann and that you don’t get too wet walking from the bus to the hospital.I am sure OH will be able to come in with you. Had a bit of a offish weekend as I have been getting some pain which is concerning.
I do have a wonderful bit of news though .Hannah and Gareth are expecting a little baby boy in December :-D :-D :-D I have had to keep it secret until now as Hannah wanted to wait until she had had the 20 week scan which is quite understandable after losing their baby last year. We are over the moon for them.
Hopefully I will be back later.

Good morning to you all,
Wind and rain here today, I haven't been out, but it looks cold
We had A TORNADO go through some allotments on Saturday evening around 7.00 pm. It was in MOULTON, just outside Northampton. The video's on the web, show people picking up parts of sheds that were hit, plus Greenhouses were smashed to pieces. If you want to see it Google Tornado Northampton. As the crow flies it's only about 5/6 miles from us. We have had very heavy rain again overnight.
Ros is BUSY making more face coverings. She and Carolyn managed to pick up lots of Sheets,Valances and pillow cases from a discount shop in town. Sheets (double size) were about ÂŁ2.00 each, pillow cases ÂŁ1.00. I have ordered her two lots of elastic. So she is all set to go.
With Julia away in France, I invited Harvey and Lewis up for Sunday dinner. Harvey said he has a blinder of a MIGRAINE, and just wanted to stay at home. So between the two of them, they will manage to feed themselves.
You all seemed to have been busy. I hope Jane is feeling a little better also.
I feel like I have a head cold coming on. I am SO BUNGED UP in my head. No matter how often I blow my nose, it's back again almost immediately. MAN FLU. lol lol
The sky is getting darker and darker, so I expect we will get a good downpour before long. Pam going to grab my book and settle down in the conservatory for a read.
Have a good day, whatever you are doing. Will try to get back this afternoon. I might have another story for you "Are you sitting comfortably" then I will begin. !!!!Where did that come from. LISTEN WITH MOTHER, I think. xxxx

Morning all
Rain, rain, rain, here today, I think it's going to be here all day, so no gardening. I did manage to sort the tomatoes out yesterday, pinching out the side shoots and giving them a good water, with them being in the greenhouse the weather doesn't effect working in there.
<3 <3 <3 HAPPY ANNIVERSARY ANN AND T <3 <3 <3
I hope all goes well at the hospital today and your OH is allowed to go in with you, hope you don't get to wet from the bus to the hospital. Do you have anything nice planned for your anniversary? Hope whatever you're doing, you have a lovely time, despite the weather.
Yes, I'll be watching the Leicestershire episode this afternoon Ann. I hope you didn't over sleep and enjoyed your beginner's art session this morning. Have you ever watched "The Joy of Painting" with Bob Ross, he does some amazing paintings using normal 1" and 2" brushes, along with a fan brush and other things, he paints landscape pictures in less than an hour. The programme fascinates me, he makes it look so easy. It's on BBC four weeknights at 7.30pm. It's well worth watching.
Sorry to hear you've been having some pain Jane, hope the bloods go as well as they can and the pain eases soon. What wonderful news for Hannah and Gareth and of course the rest of the family, congratulations. Good idea to wait for the 20 week scan before telling anyone, I hope all goes well and you have a new member of family in time for Christmas. <3 <3 <3
I've just watched the tornado video's Frank, I hope no one was hurt, although the allotment took a battering, looking at the damage it was quite a big one and not far from you. You were very lucky. Hope your man flu clears up soon ;-) no seriously I hope you feel better soon. So Ros is busy making more masks, they got some bargains with the sheets, didn't they?
Nothing much planned for today, so I'm watching a bit of TV. I might do some more sorting later as I still have a few more drawers to go through.

Oh congratulations Jane, what exciting news, I do hope all goes well for them. I do hope your blood test is positive and that the symptoms you've been having are nothing to be concerned about. It must be really nice seeing your relations on TV Gill. I'm not really into arts and crafts so don't watch those sort of progs, but it must be very interesting if you do! We got all the shopping we needed so that's that job done for a while! This afternoon I'm going to do some more to my family history, Mr Fg no doubt will snooze!

It's looks like I've got AnnG's anniversary date wrong again LOL, hopefully it'll be third time lucky :-D :-D Thanks for reminding me Vera, I just hope I don't forget to wish them happy anniversary on the correct date now. :-S :-S
Yes, it was nice to see my aunt on TV along with my other aunt (her sister) FG I love watching all types of crafts, not that I'm any good at them, I can knit and do a bit of sewing, plus I've made a few bits and bobs for Christmas, but nothing to write home about. I just like watching. Maybe one day I'll have a go at some of them, who knows. Hope the weather wasn't to bad for your shopping trip, it's pouring with rain here, has been all day, so the garden is happy. Good luck with your family tree, I had a go at mine a few months ago, but kept hitting brick walls so had to give up in the end. I'll take another look no doubt in the future, where I may have more luck with it. I'm looking forward to the 1921 census as I'm sure that'll help, well, I hope so anyway. Your OH sounds a bit like mine, he's always snoozing LOL.

Afternoon all. We were lucky with the weather, it drizzled a bit when we got off the bus but nothing much the rest of the time we were outside it was more or less dry and the sun even glimmered when we got off the bus coming home. The appointment was for 10.45, becaue of bus times we were 20 minutes early, but then the appointment was about 30 minutes late. And I was in there about 10 minutes. Saw a nice lady doctor who says the patch is not urgent and she will delay the appointment to remove it (It will be cut and stitch) until October after our two holidays.
Thanks Vera for putting the record straight where did today's date come from, Oh it is 27th! A month early Mel and Gill followed you. 27 AUGUST.
Jane, wow! great news for Hannah and Gareth and you and Chris (James too I expect). So pleased for you all and hope all goes well. Also hope your bloods go ok and that the pain is nothing serious.
Better go and get some lunch BBL I hope.

I'm not actually doing my tree Gill. I finished that sometime ago on Ancestry. What I'm doing is researching and recording the lives of as many people as possible in the tree, to give a history of how they actually lived their lives, where they lived, job of work, marriages, illegitimate births, and any other interesting aspects of a particular individual's life. I've done people I definitely know about and am now tackling ones I know little or nothing about! It's being quite a job but very interesting!!! Brighter here but still windy! I must collect MrFg's prescription, as it wasn't ready when I collected mine, but should be there tomorrow. Its only painkillers for his gammy knee and his one a day Statin! Not too bad for an 80 year old!!

Mel :-D :-D T came into the hospital and up to the waiting area. I am sure he could have come into the consulting room but I didn't need him to. I maunly need him to help me hear when they call my name out. Even when they are not wearing masks I have a problem. There were several couples there, had to sit socially distanced though.
We were impressed that everyone on the bus (actually not many on the bus at all, everybody in the hospital and everybody we saw in the two shopping malls and in M&S were all wearing masks. It is not pleasant though wearing the masks for a long period of time, I found it wearing on the bus and couldn't bear to imagine what it is like on a plane journey.
Nuisance you keep losing posts Annx is that on a laptop? I didn't use to like using a laptop because I kept touching the mouse pad in error. We wore fabric gloves on the bus and in shops when using escalators or in the hospital using stairs. There was plenty of sanitizer for hands and, if you didn't have a mask you could take a free one. (They did have a sign saying thieves would be prosecuted, you have got to believe it!)
Mandy hope you got your washing dry. Frank, yes I read about the tornado I bet that was scary for a while. I see there was a lot of damage done.
Gill I have those programmes recorded but not had time to watch them yet.
Hope you got your Lidl shop FG.

Hi all
AnnG and Annx - and anyone else who loses their posts on a laptop. Stick one of those 'scan guard' cards (the ones for protecting bank cards in your purse/wallet) over the cursor pad with sellotape at each end. Works a treat!
I'm ignoring the outdoors today and probably tomorrow. Is it really July? I'm arty crafting indoors :-D

What a good idea FG having life stories for your ancestors.
I have one or two small stories here and there, but the big one was about my OH's ancestor who was suppose to be married and move to New York straight after the wedding. She couldn't marry on the date she wanted, so ended up marrying the following week. She would of travelled to New York on the TITANIC had she married on the date she originally wanted. I can't remember why the marriage had to be moved to the following week, but she had actually booked tickets on the Titanic and had to cancel them. Talk about lucky. Have you found any interesting stories for your ancestor's?
Do you paint AnnG, sorry I can't remember if you do or not? If you do then you'll find those programmes fascinating. The way he can make trees in seconds, including highlights is amazing. I'm sure when you have the time, you'll enjoy them. It sounds like everything went well at the hospital, so that's good.

Anng you won't know unless you try.
I have just found the battery to the small hedge trimmer so thats on charge now. It was in the uti room on top of the two door cupboard in there under a load of socks that had'nt been put away. They have now.
Its been that awful fine rain today and you don't think you're getting wet but you are.
I have potted a couple of begonias in one big pot. I think they are hanging ones. I bought them up the road at the woman who sells plants outside her house and had them on the shelf in my shed but now they are all secure in a nice bit of potting compost and hope they give a good show.
I have cleared the fridge out reaady for tomorrows big wipe down so I have plenty of room in there but apart from that I hav'nt done much at all today. O I did clean the little loo.
I don't know whether to make spag bol tonight or sausage toad???? I have both mince and sausages out of the freezer cos I forgot I was going to do a toad. Spose I could do both and put the spag bol in the freezer for another day.
