Jane, will be thinking of you tomorrow, good luck with the treatment <3 <3
Frank do you remember when I had my stitches out that I found a stitch that was left in. Mine wouldn't heal either. If she had trouble with the last stitch there may be a bit of stitch left in and the wound won't heal because of a foreign body there. If it goes on much longer I think you should check with the nurse.
Ros is like all of us ladies, we like to be independent. You won't stop her, just make sure she is standing on something that is safe. I have reached the age where I often have to admit defeat and let somebody else do the job (OH being two years older is stronger than me and has more stamina). But I still hate relinquishing my independence.
Annx it is not the best way to visit garden centres but is better than nothing. One thing the people on the tills are all very good. Tony had a gift card with money left on it, so he had to sign the receipt. the pen was taken back, disinfected and put in a separate pot. and the young man had gloves on. We didn't wear masks as most of the time we were outside or in a wide space inside (we had them with us). One or two people did wear masks, they were mainly elderly (more elserly than us!).

Its been tipping it down here and now at this very minuet we have thunder and lightening. I went out after lunch to have a ciggy and there was a squirrel on the patio who took one look at me and legged it as fast as it could up the orchard. Then I looked over at the fence where a lovely thrush was sitting and on my pond netting was another larger one so I think it was mum and baby. MUm had flown down behind the pond nby the time I had my camera but I got one or two of the baby one on the fence and then on the acer. turned round to bring the camera in and oh had left his walker chair thing on the raod and it was soaking wet. So down the steps I go to get it up on the patio and in the dry.

I’ve just come on to say that I’m thinking of you Jane as you start your new treatment and I’m sending love and hugs <3 <3
Btw a valance sheet and a valance are two different things. The sheet is shaped to go over the mattress and down the mattress sides, ending in a frill or pleats like a normal valance. I only know because I’ve got one.
I’ve got the grumps today so I’m not stopping but I am sure I will be back tomorrow feeling more cheerful.

Its been tipping it down here and the doc rang and said I was to go to the surgery and pick up some antibiotics and to draw a line around the red area to see if it gets smaller or bigger. If it gets bigger I have to let her know and she will give me stronger ones.
I asked oh to do it for me and he did a dotted line around the red. I told the doc I kept wnating to go to sleep and she told me it was the infection. I am not one to sleep during the day usually only a couple of times when I hav'nt felt well.

Jane Ok you get an extra day of special thoughts. A nuisance about the bleeds. Is that the cancer or medication that causes it? Good you didn’t need a transfusion anyway.
Mel let us hope this antibiotics work quickly. Do let them know ASAP if the redness spreads that is very important. Take care and get some rest.
Vera I had a day like that last eeek I sympathise and hope you bounce back up soon. Walking round the garden I stopped to look at my wild flowers which are starting to bloom. Yesterday I had spotted a thistle and thought the bees would like that. Guess who was weeding the wild flowers and guess what happened to the thistle. And he was quite proud of pulling it out for me :-D I have explained being wild flowers they are all weeds.

There's no such thing as a weed. We have loads. All along the hedgerows the dog roses are out and the rose bay willow herb on the way to the docs. I miss seeing the wild lowers with not going anywhere. I have red campion in the garden and love it. Also I want to get a bit of the Knapweed that grows down by Prickerly Bottom, in front of the yellow potentillia up the border. Bees love it.

Morning all,
Up and ready for the big wipe down. Not such a nice morning as yesterday as most of the sky is cloudy but there is some streaks of blue so hopefully it may brighten yet.
Thinking of Jane today with love and wishes for tomorrow. <3 <3 <3
Must get on and clear some space for the wipe down.

Good morning Mel, AnnG and all
At the moment it’s very sunny and quite hot but it’s also very humid. We are supposed to have showers again this afternoon. It was a very sticky night and I had a fan going and sat up in bed reading till about 4 am. I got up about 8 but feel very lethargic.
I did think of going to our favourite large garden centre which is some distance away but it seems a bit of an effort if we can’t really mooch about and we can’t have lunch there as we usually do, so I think we are just going to pop to our small local one. I do need to go out as I am beginning to feel that I don’t want to be bothered.
That tick bite sounds as though it’s left a nasty infection Mel. You might need the stronger antibiotics. Have fun with the wiping down.
Enjoy your day everyone.

Good morning all,
I won't be stopping for long, as I am not in a good place at he moment,
Ros thinks I have had another slight STROKE, as my speech is slurred , and my movement isn't very good. I had a terrible night, and don't feel I had any sleep.
Dear old Martine in here ,with Ros, sorting out the conservatory. They have managed to get the "BED CHAIR" out into the garage, and she has taken photo's of it, and put it on a Selling website. It's hardly been used, and will do someone a good turn. She has now taken Ros to B & Q to buy some plywood panels to line the inside of the conservatory. B & Q will cut them to size. So I hope she has measured them correctly. I am the preverbal SPARE WHATS IT at the wedding. I have been sitting down the bottom of the garden, out of the way, but it looks like we might get rain, so I have come indoors to my armchair and book.
I do hope everything does well for you tomorrow Jane, my love and thoughts are with you. xxx Bless you. xxxx
Take care all of you, and I will speak with you all soon. xxxx

Afternoon all
Another bright and sunny day today, next door has just finished cutting his lawns so it's nice and quiet again now.
If I was you Mel, I'd ring the doctors back it sounds like you need stronger antibiotics after all.
Good luck for tomorrow Jane. Sorry to hear you had to go to A&E but pleased you didn't need a transfusion in the end and could go home.
Sorry to hear you may of had a slight stroke Frank, take it easy and look after yourself. Maybe you should ring the doctor for some advice if you're not feeling up to par.
My Valance sheet is one of those that lay on top of the mattress, it has a bit of material before the valance, that covers the depth of the mattress, so when I put it underneath the mattress I had to push the excess material to the middle, otherwise the valance would of been on the floor. I have seen the ones you all have, like a flat sheet with the valance attached, if I had one of those it would of been easier to put under the mattress. It looks much better now with the valance just touching the floor as it was a little to high before with it going over a memory foam mattress topper as well as the mattress. Now it's where I want it, so you can't see under the bed where I've stored a few things.
Going to find something to watch off my set top box now, I have so many programmes on there is takes ages for them to load. There's a programme on Chernobyl I'd like to watch while OH is in bed off his night shift. He's' not keen on programmes like that, so I might watch it now while it's quiet.

Good afternoon Vera and Frank. We have just driven round to see if there is any notice or any signs on the hairdressers window but there is nothing at all. We then very easily got our prescriptions but mine was apparently the last for the moment so will have to contact the nurse pharmacist to get more put on the pathway. I have at least 8 weeks supply so no immediate rush. We were surprised that the pharmacy was almost empty. OH went in with the prescription and I waited outside, then he came out and waited and just as it started to rain the assistant brought the order out to us. forecast is for thunder storms and it is certainly muggy. (I hate storms), rain has stopped for now but it is a good thing that we got all our planting done earlier. Yesterday we bought a couple of plants (a Nemesia and a diascia to put in a pot with a very small conifer in place of the pansies which have dies. It might be a small tree but it has huge roots so there was just room for those two plants, luckily they don't need a lot of space. We also bough a mint and a Rosemary as both of ours that we had have died, they were both quite old, so the herbs are looking quite fresh again now, if a bit small.
Frank did you ought to contact your daughter to get yourself checked over. It sounds a bit worrying to me. Do take care.
Vera, I think a combination of this muggy weather, not enough sleep and all the not knowing what is going to happen next/where the new infections are/how safe we are when we do go out makes us feel lethargic and tense. I hope you made yourself go to the garden centre. So far we have preferred our smaller local ones but we wondered if the Blue diamond was busy yesterday because people had not realised they were open before and thought they had just opened when the retail shops did. Also they had advertised to card holders that their clothes were all reduced. I did manage to get two pretty summery tops. Handbags were also good bargains at reduced prices. I resisted a proper handbag but did buy a small one similar to my 'bum' bag which I wear to town all the time and also wear out when walking as it holds my camera. This bag will do the same and will go across my body too.

O Frank I do think you shold get to the docotrs or somewhere they can maybe give you a check over. Take it easy and enjoy your book while the girls are doping their thing.
We have had thunder rumbling around most of the afternoon after a lovely warm sunny morning. I was just rescuing my strawberries from the water troughs when the van arrived with the shopping. Wiped all that down before lunch . Oh was cross it was raining this afternoon as he has been outside again working on something to do with the mower. Its raining steadily now and I wanted to clean the chickens out too but they won't get done now. If I go out there he will send me in again I know it.
Had three subs I did'nt want which the driver took back and credited our order.
Ann I had my Wiltshire ham hock and leek bake last night and it was very tasty and I had loads of ham in mine.
As to my arm I can't ask for stronger tablets yet as I have only taken two so must give those a chance. Its so hot and itchy though its driving me up the wall cos I am NOT going to scratch it.........
Gill I may have a valance that goes under the matress but at the mo I am having a sort through in the uti room cupboard. I just came in the kitchen for a little sit dopwn as my back was aching.

Evening all,
Phew it's been hot today ,we went to spend an hour with my sister this morning ,sat out well apart under two garden brolly's ,i took a nice bunch of flowers as it was her birthday back in March and we hadn't been able to meet up ,we had a good old chat and a walk round their garden which was nice ,came home with a huge cucmber from their green house .
Jane i'm sure you know we will all be thinking of you tomorrow ,i hope it's not to long a day and it all goes well for you ,sending hugs and love <3 <3 <3 <3
Oh Frank you really should ring the doctor and get a check up, you have been falling about a lot lately and the slurred speech doesn't sound good ,look after yourself.
Mel ,i would see how the arm is in the morning and if its no better ring the doctor and just mention your arm is worse the sooner you can take some stronger antibiotics the better ,i hope it doesn't keep you awake at night . I buy those marmalade mix tins where you just add sugar ,they are good ,i'm sure you use to be able to buy strawberry jam tins too .
AnnG i'm not sure when the hairdressers are aloud to start again ,ours comes to the house and she rang and said she was hoping to start again the second week in July so i have an appointment then but we will just have to wait and see if she will be able to come ,i do hope so as my hair is getting a bit hard to manage now it keeps coming forward into my eyes ,i think i need some clips !!!

Well, the promised showers didn’t materialise; we haven’t had a drop of rain all day. It’s been hot and humid and I feel as though the sky is pressing down on the top of my head. It will definitely be the fan on in the bedroom again tonight.
I’m sorry to hear that you are not very well Frank. Please let your doctor know. If it was a slight stroke that you had than he needs to know and put it on your records and if it was something else that was giving you these symptoms then he needs to find out what’s going on. Take care and look after yourself.
Ugh! That sounds a right mess in your cupboard Mel. I shouldn’t think you were very happy at having to clear it up on top of doing all the wiping down AND having a sore arm. I hope the antibiotics start to get hold of the infection soon.
AnnG, I did make myself go out to the local small garden centre. We made a joint decision not to go to our favourite large place as it’s a little distance from us and we would only have been able to go in, buy what we need and leave without even having a coffee. The local one was fine although some of the shelves were a bit sparse. I was able to get some fungus killer and bug killer but not the sort I usually buy. I also got some wallflower seeds. I thought a few plants in pots by the front and back doors will look colourful in spring and smell nice. I used to grow them at our old house and had them all in a bed that led up the path to the front door, but there I had plenty of garden space to start them all off in a proper seed bed. I’m not sure yet how I am going to sow the seeds here. I don’t have room for a seedbed and ordinary seed trays are too shallow so I haven’t worked out yet where I can sow the seeds till they are ready for transplanting. I expect I will manage to work something out. Of course you can’t go to a garden centre and not buy plants, can you? I only got a couple, a pink Argyranthemum and a lovely blue Scabious, and I have just the spots for them.
We had lunch when we got back and I did a couple of jobs and then I sat at the garden table under a big sunshade and sorted the last of the photos. At some point I need to go through all the ones we are keeping and label them with who they are but I reckon that’ll take weeks so might be a job for the winter.
Mandy, hairdressers can start again on 4th July under quite strict conditions. AnnG, have you tried phoning your hairdresser? Mine didn’t have a notice up but as soon as I heard that they could reopen I rang the salon number and the call was diverted to the owner’s mobile. As it happens she is the one who cuts my hair anyway. She told me that she was opening on 6th July and as I got in so quick I got the first appointment at 8.45 am. She told me everything that had been done to make the salon safe and what I need to do. I have got to buy or make myself a mask with elastic that goes round the ears. The ones we’ve got have the elastic right round the back of the head. I can’t wait to get a haircut.
I have a real outing to look forward to at the weekend. Granddaughter is 23 on Friday so my daughter suggested that, weather permitting, she does a birthday barbecue for her on Saturday. It will all be within the permitted boundaries; six of us socially distanced in her garden. We’ll be 3 lots of 2, daughter and granddaughter, grandson and his partner and OH and me. I’ve seen them all on Zoom at the weekly family quiz but haven’t seen them “in the flesh” for between 4 and 6 months so I am quite excited about it. I think it will feel strange to be going out for a social occasion after so long.
Jane, I hope the day goes well for you tomorrow. You’ll be in my thoughts. I’m going to go and get yet another glass of water and then watch the last episode of “The Salisbury Poisonings”. I hope you all manage to get a decent night’s sleep tonight. Sweet dreams

Mandy it was hot here this morning but this afternoon it rained and we had a thunderstorm so it was lucky we got all the plants in this morning. It must have been lovely to see your sister for a chat.
Vera I looked into the salon and nothing seems to have been done differently in there.. maybe it will be a good idea to phone and see what is happening, I will get OH to try. I am pleased that you went to the garden centre, plants and their aquisition do cheer us up don’t they?
And I am sure that you will have a lovely time at the barbecue, I am quite envious.
I still have lots of photo albums that want wedding, one job on the list that has not got done yet.
Oh well back to Midsummer murders. Strange how I can watch these that I have seen before and not know who ‘done it’. :-D :-D

Morning all
A bit cloudy today but so far it's dry. We had thunder and lightening for ages yesterday afternoon and into the evening along with some rain, so the garden is happy. We watched a Blackbird collecting worms this morning, he was so busy he didn't notice us standing on the patio.
Good luck today Jane, I'll be thinking of you <3 <3 <3
How's your arm today Mel? What a mess you had to clean up, I hope all the sticky mess is cleared up now and you're not to achy. Thanks for the offer of the valance sheet, it would be easier to put under the mattress instead of struggling with the one I've got now. I have to keep straightening it each morning as it slips around while we sleep. I think we must move around a lot in the night lol.
How lovely to have an outing to look forward to Vera, I hope the weather is nice enough for you all to meet up and your Granddaughter has a wonderful birthday. It sounds like the Salon has everything in place ready for your hair appointment.
It must of been lovely to meet up with your sister Mandy
You were lucky managing to get your plants sorted before the thunderstorm AnnG. Our's went on for ages and the thunder was really loud, it kept making me jump.
How are you feeling today Frank, I hope you had a good nights sleep and feel better for it today.
No Ann yesterday, I hope everything okay and she's back on here today.
