Good morning Mel and everyone. Yes Mel the moon was lovely I think they called it the Strawberry moon, very clear too.
Well one thing I got with the food delivery was a bad back again, was not aware of straining it but all the bending must have done it, it is very stiff, in my back not like last time my side. Hopefully it will ease. Woke up with the 'grumps' this morning. Have been very positive for 11 weeks but suddenly fely that I used to be content with my life, enjoyed what I did, enjoyed shopping, going to town on the bus and eating lunch out. Now shopping looks as though it will be no fun with only one person allowed in no two together, what pleasure is there in that? Masks to be worn at all times on the bus so good luck with me hearing what the driver says then. Feel really down. Never mind I wil get over it I am sure. Oh and OH is talking about playing golf Wednesday and Friday next week. :-( :-(

Morning all,
Raining quite hard here and very windy and cold out . The moon was huge last night and had a pink tinge to it ,it seemed low in the sky too.
AnnG we all have days like that and at the moment I think it's because of all this staying in and wondering if life will ever be normal again and this weather doesn't help either . Hope your back soon feels easier ,my back feels a bit iffy after the wipe down I think it's because I leave the bags on the floor when I do it I don't like lifting the bags onto the work top .
Got a chicken breast out of the freezer so we can have a chicken curry tonight and a chicken out to defrost for a roast tomorrow.

I hope my sweet peas are ok as I orgot to put some slug pellets in the tub. I can't put any behind it as I saw the toad yesterday and I don't want to kill that as its free slug treatment.

Morning All,
Breezy and raining here this morning. F&C from Asda for lunch so easy peasy. It's funny you saying that AnnG as I said to OH yesterday that for the first time since the lockdown I felt a bit fed up and he said he was the same. I was saying there isn't anywhere to go where we used to go like the cinema or even The Works! There is loads I need to do here with clearing out etc but some of the motivation has gone!

Good afternoon all, SORRY you are feeling in the dumps Ann. All this self isolation and lockdown isn't helping is it. ??
I have upset Martine, After giving a great deal of thought to the mobility scooter, I have decided not to accept it. I don't want to appear as an invalid, going around on what is the size of a TRACTOR. It can't be transported, and I have Ros to take me anywhere, if I need to go out. Plus we really don't have the room in the garage for such a big item. I will buy her some flowers to say sorry.
Had a terrible nights sleep. I don't think I slept for more that half an hour, in between laying for an hour or more. My head, neck and shoulder were giving me so much discomfort. Plus my knee has scabbed over and was catching on the sheet. The last thing I want is for the scab to come off before it's all healed up.
I have managed to shower this morning, and only dabbed my knee dry. Fortunately the heads much better, even though I was careful drying my hair and face.
Horrible cold miserable rainy day here. They say it's with us most of the day, so no sitting on the patio for me today.
Haven't heard from any of the family, so I assume they are all well. I expect I will call them, before they call us. I did have a message from one of my nephews wife, to say he had a small HEART ATTACT but was only checked over by the hospital.TWO DAYS LATER. They thought he hd had another, was BLUED AND TWOD tolacal hospital. Turned out to be LOW BLOOD PRESURE.So panic over. He is 71, so needs to be careful.
Ros has just made a coffee, so will say BYE for now. xxxx

Afternoon all
Sunny here after a wet start to the day, the wind seems to have died down from last night, so that's good. Just been to water the toms in the greenhouse, the rest of the garden has had plenty of rain lately, so didn't need doing.
Yes, OH and I are really pleased that he's been offered another permanent contract in a month or so. I just hope nothing happens to stop it now. We know through experience how quickly things can change with the Coronavirus still around. I worry for all the protesters gathering in large groups and wonder what will happen if any of them catch the virus.
Sorry to hear you're feeling down AnnG, it has been a long time, but I'm sure things will get back to normal and hopefully not to far into the future, then you can go out and about again. Have you thought of starting a new hobby, that should help. I'm sure they'll be lots of ideas on the Internet. I think we're all having off days every now and then, so you're not on your own.
I've been thinking of Jane and hope she's coping okay. Sending a big hug Jane if you're looking in. <3 <3 <3 <3
I'm sure Martine will understand you not wanting a mobility scooter just yet Frank. Did you find any stitches in your head that the nurse couldn't see, or did she get them all out? Sorry to hear about your nephew, I hope his blood pressure has returned to normal and he's feeling better now.
It looks like you've all got the rain we had earlier, your gardens will love it.
I'm doing a bit of my family tree, OH is working all over the weekend so I'm hoping to fill in a few gaps while it's quiet.

I'm glad you are healing well Frank and the scabs will soon fall off on their own. Could you just cover your knee with a lint dressing at night time so it doesn't catch on anything? I know what you mean about appearing an invalid, silly as I know it is, as I hate the idea of using a stick. I do use my nordic poles on holiday to potter around on the rough cliff top paths where the odd steps have no handrail, but generally I don't have a balance problem that needs a stick. I must admit I quite like those adult 3 wheeler bikes! We are hoping we may get one of the govt £50 vouchers to get our bikes up to scratch again as there is a cycle path at the end of our close that leads to a disused railway line and the canal tow path. It would be nice if using the exercise bike enables me to get back on my ordinary bike again. :-)
I think Jane said her new chemo starts in the coming week. I hope she is feeling a bit better after the bloods and that she gets on alright with it and that it is more effective. <3 <3
We have had hail and thunder at lunchtime and the garden has had a really good soaking. Now the sun is out so I might nip to the greenhouse and plant the replacement lettuce seeds that I now have. I bet the cues and tomatoes will need more tying up as well.
I feel a bit more cheerful now as OH has hoovered through while I cleaned the ensuite and dusted the hallway. He even pulled the settees out to do under them which he never does normally! He decided to empty the toaster after he washed up and made a right mess so I think he tipped it upside down instead of sliding the tray out! Crumbs all over the worktop, sink and floor! He has cleaned up, and finally understands why I say to shake the slices of bread over the sink before they go in the toaster to save so many crumbs!
I had the same trouble with my back lifting all the bags AnnG and Mandy. Last time I got OH to lift them one at a time with a glove on onto a wiped tray on the worktop and it was much better. The tray and draining board were all wiped down after.
It's looking dull again so I'd better do the planting of those seeds.

Frank you could do with domething to losely cover your knee while in bed, it would be easy to rub it and the worry of that will keep you awake. Hope it all heals soon. Yes it is the being in for so long (although we have been to garden centre and for a walk or two) and the change to this horrible cold weather, it is really cold in here, instead of just a short sleeve Tee shirt I have got a long sleeved one and a camisole and a cardigan on and I am still cold.
Gill at least you made me smile. A new hobby!! I don't think there would be room in my craft room for a new one, what with card making, trying to paint, scrap booking, photography, reading, letter writing and Family History I don't think there is room for another one. Although I do admit to having a look at diamond painting this morning but can't see really where I would put everything.
Annx at least you both feel the same about being in and being fed up. My OH is now of course fixed on the fact that he has the chance to escape to the golf course. Actually he is funny if I am down, it is so unusual he doesn't actually know what to do about it, just keeps trying to cheer me up. which makes me worse of course!!! Nothing worse than a cheery person trying to make you happy when you are definitely NOT.
Strange weather here, a glimpse of sun then a quick shower, then another glimpse of sun and always that awful strong wind battering the roses again.

What's diamond painting AnnG, it sounds very interesting, pity you don't have the space to do anything else though. I hope you are feeling a little better now. We've had sun for hours and it's quite warm out there now the wind has died down. With a bit of luck you'll all have my weather soon, as you seem to have had the rain I had before. That should cheer and warm you up. :-) :-)
Yes, covering your knee will stop it catching Frank, then you can sleep better. I hope you're feeling a little less achy now.
Did you manage to do your seeds Ann, I hope the rain kept off long enough for you.
I have days where I don't feel like doing much to Mel, sometimes it's nice to do nothing, especially if you're feeling cold. When the weather is bad it doesn't give you the get up and go to do anything does it?

Well, It was lovely sunshine when I planted the lettuce seeds......yes they were the same cut and come again type like yours Mandy. OH came out and weeded a side border and I decided to plant the 4 red geraniums. I was going to put one in each of the 2 arbour pots but when I looked, there were already 2 planted there. I put one in the middle of one of the tubs among the Pansies and then decided to plant up a black pot I have with the other 3 and put it the other side of our elevenses seat to give a nice splash of colour there. The sky was so back then we went in and the heavens opened again and it poured for a while!
I was interested to know what the diamond painting was AnnG so I had a look and it does look interesting. I hadn't heard of it before!
We have ordered 2 roast turkey lunches to be delivered tomorrow from a pub restaurant about a mile away. We could have collected it, but didn't want to be queuing so paid the extra £2 odd to have it delivered. I am a bit dubious I must admit and no doubt will be wiping down whatever it arrives in to be on the safe side, but it will be so nice not to need to cook on a Sunday again! :-D :-D I don't know what it will be like as we have never had Sunday lunch there as they don't do a carvery, but their weekday meals were always nice.

I hope you are feeling a bit less down in the dumps now AnnG. I understand just how you feel as I was like it for a couple of days a week or so back. I think the “novelty” of lockdown has disappeared and now it’s just dreary. Like us, you’re used to being out quite a lot and meeting up with other people and, like us, you have been very careful and kept away from other folk and I think you’re probably missing human contact. I found at times I was getting very irritable with OH even though we usually rub along together very well. I have felt better since our friends came and sat in the garden with us on Wednesday and I am sure you will feel more cheerful soon. I hope your back and Mandy’s improve soon after all the lifting, bending and stretching you’ve done with the wiping down.
I hope your nephew is OK Frank. I can understand why you don’t want a mobility scooter, and it sounds as though the one Martine offered you is enormous but don’t turn the idea down too quickly. A smaller one would come apart to go in the boot of the car and let you go out with Ros more. We have a friend and a relative who both have MS and they have them and their wives manage to get them in and out of their car boots OK, even though both ladies are well into their 70s.
That’s good that OH is soon getting permanent work again Gill. That must be a relief for both of you.
Ann, I set up my Zoom meeting this afternoon. I clicked on the Watch Now on the email you forwarded to me but it wouldn’t open for me. I just had to work my way around the website but I think I have scheduled a meeting for 6 pm tomorrow and have sent the link round to the various family members. I’ll find out tomorrow if I’ve got it right or if I am sitting there like Billy No Mates with no-one able to join me lol. I hope you enjoy tomorrow’s roast dinner.
Awful weather today. It’s rained pretty much all day, with a few breaks between downpours and was very windy, but the wind seems to have dropped a bit now. The worst part has been the temperature- it’s so cold. We’ve had an electric fan heater on in the lounge most of the day. Having changed to a thin, summer duvet last week I’d better have a blanket handy to fling on the bed tonight.
I hope you have had some sun Jane. This cold and rain won’t lift your spirits. Sending you a (((hug))).
I hope you all sleep well tonight. Stay warm.

I didn’t know what diamond painting is either but saw an advert and googled it. Still not really sure, it looks a bit fiddly. They describe it as a cross between cross stitch and painting by numbers. I think you have a canvas marked out and, using some sort of resin you place stones of some sort to stick she the cross stitches would be.
Still a bit grumpy Vera probably because OH has just happily told me he has got a golf game on Wednesday.

Sorry to see you are still a bit down AnnG, I hope things improve for you soon. I Googled diamond painting and agree it looks very fiddly, but once you get the hang of it I should think it would fill a few hours of the day.
I hope your zoom meeting works okay for your Vera, we don't want you to be Billy No Mates lol. I wouldn't know where to start, so your better than me lol
It sounds like you've been busy Ann sorting your seeds and plants out. You timed it just right before the rain came, so can sit back and enjoy the fruits of your labor now.
I got stuck again on my family tree so caught up with some programmes I recorded instead, I've now ran out of things to watch, so will have to see what else is around that isn't a repeat to watch tomorrow while OH is at work again. I got used to him being home, so it's very quiet now he's not here all day.
I kept one programme that we both watch, so we're just going to watch that before bed. I bet OH falls asleep on the sofa before it finishes lol.

Morning all,
How are we all today? and how did you sleep? I slept like a log once again last night and only got up once for the bathroom.
Miserable outside and the sky is grey but that wind has dropped so thats a good thing.
Nothing planned for today so shall just muddle along and see what we can achieve.
Its so good that hubby has been asked to go back to his old place of work in a couple of weeks as it saves worrying about finding another job Gill. He will also know the other staff and fit in again well.

We were up late and had egg and bacon on toast for breakfast so won’t want much lunch. I have prepped all the veg for our roast chicken meal this evening. Dish washer needs emptying but I still have to watch my back. So will have to be careful. Might wait until OH is available to help.
Thinking of you Jane and sending lots of hugs. <3 <3 <3

Mprning All,
I slept well too, woke at around 7.00am, went to the loo and back to sleep till nearly 9.00am. OH went and weeded a border on the front and got caught in some of that fine drizzle Mandy so came in then. He did report that the asian house now has a sort of wooden canopy over part of their drive, so now they will be sitting watching us come and go even in the rain! I can't see it from the bungalow as next door's caravan blocks the view. Having originally had pine trees across the bottom of the close and lots of privacy, it is disconcerting being watched as you come and go, as for the manspread!!! Even the family sit out there when they come so it can be quite noisy. They have a nice back garden to use, but they can't see anyone from there. We still think it strange that they would buy a house where it is.
I cleaned the front door earlier as looked quite scruffy having not been done this year with scuffs and marks on the white pvc. It is on our list to replace as the letterbox isn't secure and the draught strip has gone so it rattles in the wind and we want something with less glass. I sorted my tablets and treated a few marks on the rugs and now we are waiting for Sunday Lunch to arrive. :-D
This afternoon I am watching a livestream on FB for wool felting at 3.00pm. It's on the Frankie and Sidney site if anyone wants to look in and it looks like she is making an Owl, but quite different to the one I have made so I might be making a pal for mine! The food order is due between 4.00pm and 5.00pm so you know what I will be doing then, :-( At least it is a small order though. :-)) We had another downpour after OH came in so I might brace myself do do some more paperwork!! I ordered OH some more PJs from M&S yesterday and there was an offer, buy 3 get one free on the ones he wanted so he will have plenty now.
That's great you have scheduled a meeting on Zoom Vera. It sounds fine if you got the link to copy to the others. I did wonder whether using my email would work, but you have got is sussed from the site yourself anyway. :-) It will be there on the first screen you open on zoom so you just open it. You will see as people start to join and sometimes they seem to get straight in and sometimes an 'admit' appears for you to click on to let them join. I hope you have a good quiz tonight! :-D
Better get the plates warming now!
