Ann I have never heard that song. I have just looked it up and if you want to hear it try this.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSrXqOI9988

Here's the lyrics

Ma's out, Pa's out, Let's talk rude!
Pee Po Belly Bum Drawers.
Dance in the garden in the nude,
Pee Po Belly Bum Drawers.
Let's write rude words all down our street,
Stick out our tongues at the people we meet,
Let's have an intellectual treat
Pee Po Belly Bum Drawers.

Sunday again on CBC,
Pee Po Belly Bum Drawers.
And Norman Mailer is coming to tea,
Pee Po Belly Bum Pants!
Alan Ginsberg reads on and on,
But we're having a happening when he's gone,
Come to the party in the john,
Pee Po Belly Bum Drawers.

Disney's planning a double bill,
Pee Po Belly Bum Drawers.
Christopher Robin meets Fanny Hill,
Pooh Bear Belly Bum Drawers.
On stage and screen we can all work hard,
Throwing toilet rolls in our own backyard,
Who's afraid of the avant-garde?
Pee Pee Po Po Belly Belly Bum Bum, Pee Po Belly Bum Drawers.

What gets the prizes and wins awards?
Pee Po Belly Bum Drawers.
What did Prince Phillip tell the Lords?
Well, never mind that.
At Oxford and Cambridge, and Yale and all,
and at Berkely, they really have a ball,
'cos the higher the brow, the harder they fall,
For Belly Belly Bum Bum Belly Belly Bum Bum Pee Po Belly Belly Bum Bum, Pee Po Belly Bum Drawers.

Mornig Anng and Mandy and all,

Dull raining and windy here and oh said I can't go shopping because we are going to have really high gale force winds about the time I come out of the shop so I am grounded. Trouble is it throws me for the rest of the week when I don't go on a Tuesday and its market day in the pannier market so the shop is always quieter on a Tuesday.

Hav'nt done a thing yet!! Hav'nt been up long. When you see what the weathers like when you wake up you just feel like going back to sleep.

Mandy when did you say it was Lewis's birthday please?

SuffolkVera

SuffolkVera Report 14 Jan 2020 11:37

Morning all

Sorry to hear you have a leak Ann. Can it be easily fixed or is it going to be a big job?

Grey, damp and windy but not actually raining at the moment. Today I am going to the Ladies Association annual lunch. I pre-ordered no starter, lamb shank and apple pie. I’ve just showered and got ready but I want to do the ironing before my lift picks me up at 12.30 so must dash.

Hope you all avoid the worst of the gales. Shouldn’t be too bad here, just very windy.

Mel Fairy Godmother

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 14 Jan 2020 11:49

Enjoy your lunch Vera and it sounds nice what you have chosen. we hav'nt had lamb shanks for a long while so they may go on the shopping list now.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 14 Jan 2020 14:02

The leak is along the back flashing where it joins the wall. I think OH can seal it if we get a dry day :-S This has only really happened in the last couple of days when the wind blows the rain into that direction. we have trays collecting the water so not too bad. Not a lot else w can do at the moment.

An interesting morning!!! For once in goodness how many years the chiropodist was on time, my appointment was at 11 o'clock. Out buses are all over the place for a couple of weeks while one of the village roads is closed for road works, this means, before it gets to us the bus goes on a longish detour so going into town it was 10 minutes late. Luckily we knew about it because it was on the local group post on FB. but got to the stop more or less on time as the buses rin every 20 minutes so bound not to have to wait too long (we waited 15 minutes). People were still telling the driver he was late (as if he was unaware of the fact) but of course not everyone goes on the internet.
Coming home it was the same story buses were 15 minutes late, two arriving in tandem. When we come out of the bus station, one bus (the 94) we usually catch (which is a bit further for us to walk to home when we get off) turns right at a set of traffic light, the other bus (97 or 98) goes straight on. we were on the 98 which turned right at the lights causing some concern to a couple who wanted to get off along the straight stretch. (bear with me I am going somewhere here). The driver quickly realised. We are on quite a busy main road. That is the first time we have been on a double decker that has negotiated a three point turn on any road especially not a busy one. And he did it perfectly too and quite quickly without holding up the traffic. Caused a chuckle anyway.

Oh and we had breakfast at 11.30 instead of lunch as we wanted to get home before the storm hit. I opened the tomato ketchup and it must have had an air lock as it spurted a rather large amount out onto my lap, I had black jeans on but I also had a newish pale grey sweater on and some got on the table and onto the sweater (where boobs meet the table edge!). In the was now so I hope it has come out.

Vera hope you enjoy your meal, the menu sounds nice.

It is blowing a hooley out there so we are pleased we didn't stay in town any longer.

Mel Fairy Godmother

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 14 Jan 2020 14:51

Well I have never seen a bus do a three point turn. I wonder if they are actually aloud to do that with passengers on board? I know the school buses are not supposed to reverse with the children on board.

I have had a good morning. Put lots of craft stuff away as I wanted to use the ironing board and I work on that with the glue gun. Ironed lots of tea towels and the boiled bedding and found two pillow cases that were coming apart at the top fold over bit so I sewed them up and then ironed those. Put on the boiled eggs fro lunchtime sandwiches. Labeled some of my plastic craft boxes and made the rolls for lunch and went up the top for the recykling boxes as oh said they would be up the road by now but they were'nt they were where the men had left them thank goodness. I have already lost a green box because of the wind.

A pretty good morning concidering I hav'ne gone shopping.

Its still blowing a hooley out there and has blown some of the pastic off the bantam house.

I am now going to have a little play with my polymer clay if I can warm it up enough to work.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 14 Jan 2020 15:35

As he was by the bus depot Mel I am sure people are used to buses reversing and turning, although not usually with passengers, how he did it was not unlike when they have to go round mini roundabouts and felt perfectly safe. Better than missing out a huge chunk of his route I suppose. Nobody even remarked on it.

You have been busy.

Better to be save than sorry Mel with this wind and it sounds as if you've had a good morning getting lots sorted so that was good .
Lovely photo's of the moon from the other night and those Dragons eyes are really good ,how are you going to use them ? did you say you hope to use them on some Journals your making or did i get that wrong .
Lewis's birthday is tomorrow Mel he will be five ,i have made the sponges today just got to decorate the cake tomorrow with Smarties and get some candles to go on .

Vera hope you enjoyed your lunch today .

Oh Anng tomato ketchup can be a devil to get out if it starts to dry so hope you've caught it in time to wash out and it always seems to happen when you've got a new top on .
That was good that the road was wide enough for the bus to do a three point turn .

It's really been blowing here this afternoon ,Max keeps giving a little bark now and then when the winds blows and makes some thing bump. :-D

Annx Report 14 Jan 2020 21:40

Evening All,

Windy here again and some showers here too. When we went for lunch there was water running off the fields and across the roads. I took my own car today as OH was carrying on to a meeting out in the same direction after lunch.

Mandy Lewis will enjoy his birthday cake you are making and I must admit reading about it is making me fancy some, especially a bit with plenty of smarties on ........but I will be strong!! :-D I bet Max thinks there are strangers about with his little warning bark, but those people who climbed over your wall must have been very quiet for him not to notice them.

Mel, I was surprised no-one had heard of the song. Flanders and Swann did lots of amusing songs and we have a set of their CDs and the song is on there. I like the dragon eyes you have done and expect it was what the cabachons were for for you to paint. They will be very effective on your journal cover. I'm interested to see how you get on with baking the clay as it is something I have in mind for beads. Is it Fimo that you are using? The moon pics are nice too but I forgot all about the wolf moon! My word you got busy with jobs today didn't you! :-)

AnnG your ketchup incident is just the sort of thing that would happen to me! It was lucky you at least had black jeans on but not with your grey top. I don't seem able to bite into a tomato either without seeds and juice homing in somewhere where it will show on my clothing. I'm the lady that leaves restuarants with my handbag clutched to my bosom to hide my misdemeanors! lol Ketchup like tomato sauces can sometimes be hard to get out too. I hope your OH manages to get your leak fixed soon. The biggest problem we have with flashing is the Magpies trying to pull it off to see what insects might be under it. We had to get it nailed as well as stuck in the end. Fancy the bus having to do a 3 point turn. It's lucky the road was wide enough.

I hope your lunch was as good as it sounded Vera. I would have enjoyed your choices too.

Am I the only one who hasn't ever been to a chiropodist? Do they varnish them as well? I must admit I struggle to do mine now without getting varnish everywhere.

I think I need to get my new glasses checked as you can move each of the arms forward or back while wearing them and they make a nasty creaking noise....not good.....and it alters my vision through them as well. We are collecting OH's new glasses tomorrow so I might see if they will look at them or maybe they won't as it is a different optician and there will be a warranty. :-S I am going in with him for his hearing test so I can see his results! lol. Otherwise I know he will say it is fine and blame me for mumbling! :-D

I hope Frank is feeling a bit better today. I thought about his bad nights when I was still awake at 5.30am this morning! Not surprising I haven't got much done at all today, so will have an early night.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 14 Jan 2020 22:24

Mandy, I had with me a small packet of antibacterial wipes so first I rubbed the main amount of the sauce off with a dry serviette and the took as much as possible off with the wipe. After we finished eating I went out to the loo with the wipe and damped a corner and added soap and sponged the stain a bit more, when I got home I sprayed the stain on the sweater and jeans with vanish then put them through the washing machine with washing liquid and vanish stain remover powder and it all came out, and surprisingly there is no sign that the stains were rubbed in the sweater.
I do find we ladies are at a disadvantage, at least those like me only five foot two and a bit because my bust is always about level with the table.

Yes we need a dry day now to fix the leak.

Mel Fairy Godmother

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 15 Jan 2020 00:28

I'm 5' 2" too and very busty so I always seem to get things down my front. Oh always says to me put a cloth on or an apron but you can't do that when you are out. Once at a ringing dinner a lady had a chain with little peg thing on the ends. She pinned the serviette on those pegs and it was great.

Ann I did laugh at the clutching of the bag to your bosom. I had'nt thought of that but I always use a shoulder bag. Oh calls my drops of food Dinner Gongs. Going back to my polymer clay it says it must be done in a ventilated place and he's not happy about me using the oven to bake this in so he is buying me a small tabletop oven for my birthday and I can use it in the caravan where I can open many windows and the doors. I am not good with any kind of smells as most of you know and I do have a bit of trouble with the glue gun smell too and usually end up coughing if the windows not open or have to go in the garden for a breather. There's a little one on Amazon for £30 so I am having that just to use with the clay and he is also getting me a thermomiter so I can make sure the temp is right as you can't always rely on the dials.

I did set one eye in the clay today and at the moment its in a poly box so I hope I don't have to wait too long for my birthday present and I expect when it comes he will let me have it.

My burn blister that went flat has now gone hard and some of it has come off today but it dos'nt hurt at all so must have healed well underneath the blister. It does look a bit red and shiney.

Have a great birthday and enjoy nans smartie cake, I know you will. Blow all the candles out and make a wish but don't tell what you wish for because it won't come true. xx

Got up to a bright morning and made my drink and then the heavens opened and we had a heavy hail shower. The good thing is the wind has gone. The bad thing is I still have to go shopping on my usual day off.

I don't think the wind was that bad yesterday and I m sure I have been out in stronger winds before but I suppose it was better to be safe than sorry.

We have just come back from doing the weekly shop so that is something out of the way before the weekend. Not too busy there this morning although we were fairly early. We had a coffee and shared a sausage bap to save waiting to have breakfast before we went out.
This afternoon it is U3A main meeting, we have a talk on the Purton Hulks. These are boats that were driven into the river bank of the Severn to stop erosion. I think you can read about them on line.

Morning all

<3 <3 <3 HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEWIS <3 <3 <3
Have a great day and I hope you enjoy your birthday cake.

Bright and sunny here today after a really bad day of weather yesterday.

Oh dear AnnG, I hope your OH can fix the leak, it must of been a shock when you noticed it, I hope it didn't cause to much damage. Hopefully you'll have the weather we've got today so it can be fixed.

You meal sounded nice Vera, I love lamb shanks and apple pie, but not together lol ;-) ;-)

Love your dragon eyes Mel and the pictures of the moon were great, you have a really good camera. It sounds like you were busy yesterday to. I hope the weather improves so you can do your shopping and it hasn't thrown you out to much not being able to go yesterday.

Hope you manage to get your glasses sorted Ann.

I see you've finally had some decent sleep Frank, sorry it didn't make you feel better though. I'm sure you'll get used to your new meds soon, then hopefully you'll start feeling a little better then.

I was so busy I didn't have time to come on here yesterday. I had some washing to do and we all had bath's then OH decided because it was raining to put on an old waterproof coat that has been in the shed for years over his clean clothes he'd only had on a few minutes as he had to go out. Needless to say the coat stank musty to the point where he had to have another bath when he came home, which then gave me loads more washing to do which took me right up to bed time as there were a number of smelly coats in the shed, so I thought I might as well wash them all. Once they went through the washing machine the smell was still there so I ended up putting them all in soak in some fabric conditioner in the bath until they smelt better, that took hours and of course because a couple of them were a plastic type with a material lining I ended up putting them on the clothes maid inside the bath to drip dry. At least if he has to wear the coats again they won't smell him or the house out. I wasn't a happy bunny with all the extra work though as I thought it was silly thing to do, he could smell how bad they were so should of stayed in doors until the rain had died down rather than giving me all that extra work to do. Never mind it's all done now, so I'm having a day off today and catching up with some programmes I've recorded with Sandra.
