Dog show went off well but not really many people here but enough. I took a few pics.
Won two raffle prizes. A stainless steel dog bowl with two packs of poo bags in it a handbag and a scarf and lost a strip of tickets and a friend who runs the raffle said someone found it on the floor and on that on I won a coffee pot. None of which I need. I gave the poo bags to a friend and the rest will go back in the raffle next year. I may keep the bowl for the chickens.
So Frank no luck with a braclet then? Its a shame she can't finds what she wants. Is'nt it always the same though if you have the offer you can never find what you want and when you don't have the money you see everything you want.
We have had a lovely sunny day today but it has'nt been unbarable unless its because I have been doing things and not noticed how hot it was.

Vera I never seem to know what day it is these days either snd now we have had this BH I won't have a clue this week LOL . You aren't alone :-D
Oh Frank, what a disappointing visit to the outlet place today. At least Ros found something to go with her earrings :-D.. That was lucky you got to that village pub just in time to get your food order in. No cooking tonight for you :-D
James has been out most of the day with the friends from yesterday. Just at their house. So he has been occupied ,no doubt with little Beula who loves him :-D. You should have seen the 2 of them together here yesterday . James is a Natural with children.
Did anone see Sanditon ? It's going to be good I think. I missed it last night but watched it on catchup this morning in bed.
Frank, it must be 10 years that you have been hearing all about Hannah and James's lives all the ups and downs trials and tribulations . I am sure I must have bored most of all at times ,and I know that they would both not really like me 'talking' about them ,especially when things go wrong. But it does help me to share these things sometimes so I am realy grateful for all your support :-D
I have not heard back from my friend Sue in hospital since Thursday which is really worrying. She hasn't replied to my texts since then. So I have no idea what is happening or has happened :-(
Looks like 32 degs tomorrow :-S OMG !! I think a nice cool shower is in order tonight before dropping into bed and then clutching the cold hot water bottle :-D

<3 <3 <3 <3 HAPPY ANNIVERSARY ANNG <3 <3 <3 <3
Have a lovey day
Hope the fog goes soon and your Internet works for you later.
It sounds like you all had a lovely time the other day Jane, hope things aren't to bad for James's meeting today. It's nice he has a friend to help him through everything and of course you, Chris and Hannah. Have you heard anything from your friend Sue yet? Is there someone you could ring to see what's going on?
Yes, you can borrow my OH any time you need some painting doing Vera, he's painting our kitchen ceiling at the moment and then will no doubt do the doors in the living room. He said he'll be at your tomorrow lol ;-) ;-) :-D It's very true with AnnG's 59th anniversary, I wasn't even born :-) :-). It was our 32nd anniversary this year, we met when we were 18 and married when we were 20. OH has just turned 53 and I'll be 53 in November......how time flies :-) I can imagine how hot it must of been at the summer party sitting behind plastic windows, at least it cooled down a bit later on and you had a good time.
I see the dog show went well and you won a few things Mel. You had the right weather, rather than all the rain you had last year.
Sorry to hear you still haven't found a suitable bracelet for Ros yet Frank. You'll probably find the perfect one after her birthday. Isn't that always the case?
It sounds like you had a nice time with the BBQ Mandy. Oh yes I remember the new shoes ready for the start of school, what a job that can be. Do they choose their own shoes?
I've made an appointment for OH at the dentist so hopefully they'll take the tooth out later when he goes, he's due to have it taken out next month but it's been playing him up all weekend, so he can't wait that long.
Oh I meant to say Jane, I recorded Sanditon and will watch it today with OH and Sandra. The F1 starts again at the weekend so I'm looking forward to that to and there are a few other things starting soon I quite fancy watching including The Confession which I think is a true story, if not there is a true story programme coming on soon. Sandra has written everything down on a piece of paper each time she sees something new starting, with times and dates and always reminds me to put them on the planner.......she's very organised. If she knows someone on this thread follows something, she's let me know so I can put a note on here for you all.....she's very thoughtful like that, bless her <3

Beautiful day here, but sadly the last one (I think) :-( usual washing and clearing up! then outside to sit in the sun for a while till it gets too hot, then back to the apple tree! I must admit that on line I'm very reluctant to say anything except the barest details about my family. I think they would be quite shocked and certainly not pleased if they knew I'd talked about them at all!!! Even with close friends it just wouldn't feel right to discuss them in detail. But that's just a personal feeling! We watched Sanditon but weren't very impressed! More regency romp than Jane Austin, so not for us! Poldark?!!!! Well, at least they kept their clothes on, and the scenery was fantastic!

Good morning to you all,
"HAPPY ANNIVERSARY" ANNinG. I of hope you have a nice day out. 59 years is going some. IF I had stayed Married mine would be 60 in Oct.. Thinking about it 17 years was quite enough. ;-) ;-) ;-) lol lol
Ros has her Gyny appointment at 11.40 this morning. Carolyn will take her as they are going shopping. So I have a nice quiet day by myself.
I must try to get the catch on the conservatory door, and mow the front lawn. I know it will Bu@@er me up, but things just have to be done. With Harver and Barry both on holiday, I have no one to help me out.
This blooming computer is taking over my life. I type one thing, and something totally different comes up. I am getting fed up having to keep changing things. :-P :-P :-P :-P
Jane I had no idea we had been on the thread for 10years. I was a young man then lol lol. Good luck to James today. When is he and Hannag going to Greece ??
LUCK BE THE LADY then Mel, Three raffle prizes. I like you wouldn't have known what to do with the POO BAGS. lol
Gill your OH is like a ROBOT, going from JOB to JOB sound your bungalow. What's next on the AGENDA. ??
Conrad flew back to Spain this morning. He is having the rest of the jerk off, to get over his holiday, and will be backninthethrows of things next Monday. It's Harvey's Birthday today. We phoned his this morning to wish him HAPPY BIRTHDAY I think he is 53 or 54 today. I get mixed up, because he is so close to my Simon's.
We had a phone call from Val next door last night, She wanted Ros to go round to help her. When she went in, she asked where TONY was. "He's Buggered off out again" He told her to get the place cleared up before he got back, or there would be trouble. She was in tears, saying HE would make her homeless. Ros helped tidy up and put loads of things, from the bed and bedroom floor, into the washing basket. The place STUNK, as thought hasn't been cleaned for months. They still have FLANNELETTE SHEETS on the bed. Ros said she will have words with him. I told her to keep her NOSE out. He needs reporting to SOCIAL SERVICES. He is totally neglecting her needs, in every way.He just doesn't realise, just how ill, the poor woman is. Do I ring Social Services or the DOCTOR ?? She either need carers in daily, or taken into a nursing home. I doubt the poor girl hasn't showered or changed her cloths since ADAM was a BOY ;-) ;-) ;-) All he seems to do, is go out every morning and evening, I expect to feed himself and have a few beers. This is a person who goes to CHURCH, every Sunday morning. If that is religion, he certainly doesn't know how to show it. He is such a self centred, ignorant Bastard, that I have ever met. (SORRY FOLKS) but I am fuming at the moment. :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0
Another beautiful day out there, I got the bins in around7.30 this morning and watered all the pots in the front and down the side. The patio and greenhouse will bedonethis evening.
Have a good day all, and DON'T get BURNT. !!!!

Afternoon all Happy anniversary Ann and T. Hope you have a lovely day out.
It’s wall to wall sunshine here and very hot. I think it is even hotter than yesterday.. I had very little sleep again last night and have had a dicky tum all morning so I am not feeling at my best. I think the tum problem is probably down to the heat and too many salads. I shall have to take some anti diarrhoea pills as OH has an appointment late afternoon at the optician and I am still wary of letting him be out on his own for too long in case he gets tired and seizes up.
OH has just called out that he has made me some toast so I’ll post this and come back later

Everyone seems to have HIC CUPS, Mel and Pippyn, is it in the water. ?? lol lol
Who' a SILLY OLD SOD then ?? I managed to put the the wrong bit on the Conservatory door. Instead of the catch, I put the bit on, that the catch goes into. So I had to undo FOUR SCREWS and start again.
Ros did a coloureds wash this morning, when that was finished, she put on the whites i.e. Sheets and pillow cases. I said when it finishes I will hang it all out. Half was thought the wash, the machine stopped. I restarted it, and still waiting for it to finish. How long it was off for I don't know. As for the front lawn, that will just have to wait for another day.
I think it is as hot today, as it was yesterday. I have all the doors and windows open, TWO FANS in the lounge, and I have turned on the overhead fan in the conservatory, but still I can't get cool. I think a cool shower might be the answer, the only trouble is, when Ros tried to shower this morning, it wouldn't work (NO WATER PRESSURE) So I will try it again, when the W.M. is finished. Have just tried the shower and it's WORKING. Thank goodness for that, as I can't live without my daily shower.
Join the CLUB Vera. I laid on top of the bed again last night, clock watching until 3.30 am, I was awake agin by 6.00 am and up before 7.00.
Just had some pork pie and coffee, now going to try to hang this blooming washing out. IT'S bound be hung wrong, to how Ros would do it, but tough LUCK. Like it or LUMP it, is all will say.
I hope you ENJOYED your shopping day Mel. Thinking of James, and hope it all goes well for him.

What on earth is wrong with Genes. You wait ages, then get the error page, if you go through the Community page and try to go from page 1 to todays. Iggives me the error notice again, so you have to go though a few hundred pages at a time to get here.
Yes Annx, He is a bit of a BAR STEWARD, the way he treats her. I just stay well clear, otherwise being the type od person I am, I would THUMP HIM, and end up with an assault charge. I wish I had Val's Sons telephone numbers, I would ring them, and get them to sort things out. I was bought up by a very strict Victorian ex Chief Petty Officer, FATHER and was taught to respect people, especially woman. My oh My, if anyone needs putting in his place, it's HIM.
I am going to try to hang out the washing, I think even though the sun has disappeared, it's still warm enough to dry it.I know it will not be to Madams liking, but that's the way the cookie crumples. lol lol

Sods Law, I just emptied the Washing Machine, took it out to hang on the line, and the bloody heavens opened. I had only hung up two pillow cases and some Hankies, so soon got them off the line and all back in doors. Being the good neighbour I am I rang next door as he had a line of washing out. Our washing will have to sit in the basket until the morning when MADAM will be able yo hang it out. HER WAY. I bet she had something to do with the rain. ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) So only the greenhouse to water tonight.

Hi all the Internet is now back on, I took advantage of not being able to do OH's tree and caught up with a few sewing repairs, OH's pockets in his jeans had holes in where his keys have rubbed, he was fed up of them falling through the holes and dropping down his jeans leg, so that's done, Sandra had a few holes in her dressing gown, I say holes I think she's pulled a few threads here and there so they were more like ladders so they've been sewn and some of her slipper socks had holes in the soles so I've darned them, plus sewn a few holes I had in one of my nighties, so that's a big job out of the way.
OH is at the dentist now, so hopefully they'll take the sore tooth out, unless he has another infection in which case he'll return with antibiotics, either way he should be pain free soon. He's finished painting the kitchen ceiling and done the first coat of gloss paint on the the two doors, plus the skirting boards in the kitchen, he'll do the second coat later then all the painting will be finished inside an out.
His next jobs Frank are painting my mum's hall and her friends new place once she's moved in next month. I'll then send him to Vera's and then onto Ann's lol ;-) ;-) Poor Val, Tony sounds an awful husband, Ros is so kind isn't she, she's always helping people, you must be so proud of her. It's difficult to know what to do in that situation, maybe you could phone social services just to put them in the picture, I'm sure they'll do the right thing and Val will have some much needed help. You don't need to tell them who you are, just say you're concerned about the way she's living and think someone should check on her. She obviously needs help and Tony sounds more like a bully than a carer. I can see why you're so upset, I think anyone would be knowing she's being treated like that.
OH's favourite biscuits are choccy digestives Ann :-D and of course a nice cup of tea, he does love his tea. I'm pleased to see your OH got the collection his friend promised him, it sounds like it was a big job so I'm not surprised he needed a rest after lugging them from house to house. At least you'll have some time to yourself now he's got lots to look at. Sorry you and your OH have bad tums, hope it clears up soon.
Hope your tummy clears up soon to Vera. Have you tried Imodium Instance, they work straight away, you'd have peace of mind going out then and you can always take one with you just incase. It does say on the box to take another does if needs be, but I've found I've never had to take the second does. They are very good and handy to have in the house just in case this happens when the chemists are shut.
It's clouded up here to Pippyn and we've just had a few spots of rain, it's still quite warm though. We're suppose to be having thunder tomorrow, I'm not surprised though with all the heat we've had lately.
I'm going to sort out OH's tree now, I was on a roll last night and just as I was finding records Ancestry stopped them being free, when I looked at the time it was three minutes past midnight, so I packed up and went to bed. I have two trees so I need to go through them and make them match now, as I've got more on one than the other. I was going to do it this morning but had no Internet so it's had to wait until now.

Afternoon All
Happy Anniversary AnnG . I hope today has been a special day for you <3
Just had a message from James and it is done. He just has to work out the rest of this week and then that is it :-(
Frank , I think if things are so bad at Vals and she is being neglected this something really needs to be done.. Maybe try CAB or Age Concern and just explain that you are really concened about the well being of your neighbour. It is a difficult situation for you but Val is a Vulnerable person and her life may well be at risk. The fact that Val rang you to ask for help says a lot .She sounds frightened, poor lady. :-(
Vera,Ann, all these tummy upsets at the moment I think could be heat related. I too have been a bit'that way'. It often happens when it is too hot :-S I was so glad I took the frozen water bottle to bed last night. Other than helping me keep cool until I fell asleep it also cooled down my itchy bites on my leg. All of us have midge bites. Why do they get so bad at night!!!!. James crept in at 2am to get the itch cream off me.
I got my car into the garage this morning . Chris followed behind me to make sure it didn tburst into flames or anything :-D. So I just have to wait to hear back now to see what the trouble is. We came home and then I took his car as I was meeting a friend for coffee at Tesco. I had a really nice iced coffee. Got home ot find the window man here . He has fitted 3 new handles BUT they are not white :-S They are chrome. He ssaid there is a problem with the suppliers for white handles at thw moment . I will make sure I get something in writing to make sure they will be replaced with the right handles. Having one white and one chrome handle on the same windows is not a good look :-S.
Gill,I hope OH doesn't have an infection and that his tooth was taken out with no trouble. He must get through an awful lot of sugar with all those cups of tea !!!!! I have to say though I do like sugar in my tea. Coffee is different as I don't mind sweetners in that. At the moment though other than my 2 mugs of tea in the morning I tend ot drink iced water through the day. The ice melts too quickly though at the moment :-D
Interesting prizes in the raffles Mel :-D :-D.Poo bags :-D.. I still use them for when I need to clear any clumps out of the litter tray.
I must have missed a post about shoes Mandy ! what was that about? I think there has been so many posts lately that have whizzed past and escaped me. Apologies x

I like choccie digestives too Gill so that's good! Plenty of tea with 2 sugars as well should keep him happy while he paints. :-D ;-) I hope they've been able to sort his tooth out one way or the other as toothache is a horrid pain. It sounds like you have been busy sewing. I bet OH needs buttons on some shirts now. He hangs them at the ends of his shirt row now, so I can find them easily as he's usually out when the mood takes me to do them. Sandra is very organised with her programmes isn't she. We quite liked Sanditon, but I must look up the Confession one.
I decided to cut back the foliage poking through the trellis at the side of the path earlier. There wasn't much but I still got 4 insect bites and one had spread a red hot patch was about 4 inches across already. Since those stings before I worry about anaphylactic shock so took antihistamines straightaway and smothered them in antihistamine cream. The redness of the worst one started to fade after about 20 minutes so it worked. I must carry some in my bag in future.
We called in the garden centre after we put our prescriptions in as the one nearest to us is air conditioned. OH dropped me at the door and went to park the car. When he came in he said he'd heard awful screaming and that a man driving the community bus to pick people up outside had trapped his hand in the folding ramp system at the back. He said several people were trying to free him. We went back outside and the man, who was tall and looked very muscular and strong was free but sitting looking very shaken with his arm elevated. A carer with the group that were waiting to be picked up was with him and we could hear someone ringing for an ambulance so we went back inside.
I think today has been the hottest we've had here! The car was showing 38 degrees when we set off and although it is always hotter to start with we've never seen it show that temperature before. Thankfully we have had a drop of rain now and it may cool down.
It is worrying about your friend Sue, Jane. I hope she hasn't deteriorated or worse the poor lady.
