JUST TO LET YOU KNOW THE MEAL WAS A TOTAL DISASTER. Sorry.
They wouldn't accept the voucher for 2 for £10,00 as I didn't have the right piece of paper. The food was WAY over cooked, and the gammon tasted like it had been in salt forever. Eos had to ask for more meat as what he gave her wouldn't have fed a baby. We complained to the waitress, who got the DUTY MANAGERESS Who to say the least was totally useless. All she would say was SORRY. I said I don't want SORRY I want action, which I never got. I have sent a letter of complaint, and wait with baited breath to receive a reply.
Good luck for tomorrow Jane. Will speak to all you other in the morning.

Evening all,
It's been quite cloudy here today just a little sun this afternoon .
Hope Fitz's op went well and your OH's too Gill
Jane all the best for tomorrow we will all be thinking of you through the day wondering how things are going ,you'll be home before you know it . Colin had his op cancelled once but that was because the surgeon was going on holiday ,which you would have thought would have been sorted out before the op was organised .
Frank like the others have said get to the doctor ,it carn't be very pleasant to be so shaky like that some things going on . So tomorrow you have Lewis coming ,has he still got his little job ?
That was good you didn't need the biopsy last night Ann ,hope the new medication will help. I buy the children lots of things from Primark they have some pretty little things in there the girls love the bags and Flip flops which are only 90p a pair :-D I had to smile about the potatoes :-D :-D Was it this afternoon you were going or tonight ? I see Kirsty has a new craft programme on for the next three weeks ,5 o'clock on channel four .
AnnG i think we use to have a Wax Lyrical store in Norwich in one of the Malls but i think it's closed now ,safe journey home tomorrow .
You'll have to put OH on the naughty step Mel catching your plants and not saying any thing :-D
Vera sorry to hear your brother might have to have another op ,another thing to worry about . How is OH today ? i hope things are beginning to improve for him and the heat patches are helping .

I have had a message from Fitz :-D He says he is fine and for me not to get myself all in a tizzy .Nice ward and spacious. I think he might actually be a bit high on Morphine LOL I rang the hospital and the bed is there for me(for now) . Fitz and I will be very near each other. He will be in a Mens bay and me in a Women's so that will be good.I said I would pop in and see him when I get there in the morning. I am sure Georgette will have popped in to see Fitz.I hope so anyway.
Oh Frank, another disastrous meal :-S. What a disappointment .Where was this you went?
Hannah has sent me some lovely pics of the place they are staying . They got there earlier this afternoon. I will send them on. It looks really luxurious.
90p for flip flops ! Bargain Mandy :-D Primark is brilliant. Not that I have bought much from there . But I used to go with Hannah sometimes and she got some smashing things .
It is 7pm ..I wonder if Gill's OH is home now
Fitz's OH has just called in. She says he is fine and dandy, maybe just a little high :-D

Morning all
Good luck today Jane, pleased to see Fitz's op went well as I'm sure yours will to. I'll be thinking of you today <3
OH's is in a bit of a bad way, he came home around 9.30 last night with a tooth missing right in the middle of the bottom teeth, apparently it got knocked out with the breathing tube, but that's not the worse of it, in the middle of the night he woke me up covered in blood, it was all over him and all over the bed, so I got up and sorted him out, the dressing was red and soaking wet, I then washed the bedding again as I'd already done it once during the day and made the bed back up and of course changed OH's dressing. It looks like it's not been stitched properly and the wound has been leaking blood slowly ever since he came home, as the second dressing was showing blood to, so I rang the hospital at 9am and they said for him to go straight back, luckily my mum could take him so that's where he is now. Mum is going to take me to the dentist this afternoon as I've had hardly any sleep and I feel like a zombie, I did say I could manage myself but she's worried I might feel a bit wobbly on the walk home. I've also got to pick some wood up from next door to her's as the builder said we could have it, so I'm hoping I'll have time in between OH coming back from the hospital and me having to go to the dentist, as I won't be able to do it today after my tooth has been taken out. I've woken up with a sore throat and a headache, so I'm not feeling to good. To be honest I think it's a bit of stress so I will probably feel okay tomorrow once I know OH is okay and I've seen the dentist. I need to ask the dentist what OH needs to do about his missing tooth as he thinks the root is still in his gum, he's not up to going to the dentist at the moment so he needs to know how long he can leave it before having to have it seen to. So it looks like I'm going to have a busy day running here, there and everywhere, plus helping OH in between all that.
I haven't caught up with the posts, I'll do it later if I feel up to it, so I hope everyone is okay. I'm going to get dressed now as I don't know how long my mum is going to be with OH, I hope they're not to long so I'll have time to get the wood before I need to go out. I'm so tired on only a few hours sleep, which is good in a way as I won't get to nervous of the dentist now, but I can see me having an early night tonight. If push comes to shove I'll leave the wood and let OH's friend pick it up for me, as he did say he'd help if we needed it. I'm not even sure if all the wood will be out of the property yet anyway. If it is possible to pick it up today I'd rather do that as the weather is going to get hotter over the next few days and I'm not good in that sort of weather. I'll see what the day holds and how I feel.

Good morning Gill and all,
Poor OH GILL what a carry on. How on earth did they knock out his tooth. I think someone needs to give you answers. I hope they manage to patch him up, and he heals quickly.
I expect our Jane is either having or waiting for her operation. Will be thinking her. I hope Fitz's op went to plan.
We are expecting Lewis later this morning to do the roof. He works at Valerie's quite a lot. They made him supervisor a few months ago, and would like him to do even more hours. With his Uni work he just can't do any more.
I rang Harvey last night, to invite him up for lunch on Sunday, but Jammie and his wife are coming up from Bristol for the weekend. He did tell me this though. He came home at 5.30 on Tuesday to find WINSTON DYING ON THE FLOOR. It appears during the day he had got his head stuck in something and almost strangled himself. He rushed him to the vets, who immediately put him in an oxygen tent, and said he would need specialist treatment. He left him with the vets, and collected him Wednesday afternoon. They had drained his lungs, took tests and X-rays, and he spent the night in an oxygen tent. at the cost of £48.00 an hour. He is recovering well after his ordeal. Harvey said if he had worked late, the chances are he would have come home to find him dead. :-( :-( :-( The total BILL was £970.00. So a very expensive little pussy. !!!!
Carolyn has just rung to say the builders who are extending the office for John and extending the bedroom above, have just gone through the MAINS WATER PIPE while digging the footings, so they will have to get Anglia Water out to do the repair. I just hope the builders are well insured.
We have a beautiful summers morning here. The breeze isn't as warm as I would like, but at least it's dry. ;-) ;-)
What are your plans today. Mine will be to help (if I can) Lewis, move all the pots from under the lounge window, and cover the flower beds to keep any spray from the WET and LEAVE. As I know it will kill flowers etc. I just hope he is comfortable doing it. At almost 21 he should be fine, as he often works for Harvey at weekends.
Have a good day, and I hope all the patients are recovering well.

Morning all,
We have a lovely sunny day here but hereis a wind from the east or south eat which is a bit annoying.
Frank its not really a good idea to spray if it windy I hope he will be ok up there on your roof. Bless him he's a smahing youngster. Hope the shakes have gone this mroning and you are feeling better. I know you will be looking forward to seeing Lewis. Don't forget to ask him to do the other half of your lawn.
Well I am pleased they did'nt cancel Jane's op and she may be over most of it by now if she got in early. Hope all goes well for her as it must be quite frightening. It will be nice if she can see Fitz before she goes to her ward. Send love and wishes.
Gill your poor oh. Fancy them knocking his tooth out. Was it lose to start with? Was he awake whn it happened. To leave him with a bleeding wound is very bad. Did they give you dressings so you could change them for him? I do hope he has been sorted out now as that should'nt have happened. Did he lose his belly button?
How's Bob this mroning Vera any improvement? I hope he can get some pain relief from the patches and meds. So many of you have had problems the year so far and we hav'nt been without either. Oh is still hobbling around on this zimmer and is still in pain with his hip and now thinks he may have another hernia down that side too.
Anng how's T's cough this morning and improvement there. I hope so as its not nice to have to keep coughing and making your throat sore. Sending best wishes to you both and hope you have a safe journey home today.
Di texted me yeterday and she is coming this afternoon about 4pm. She may bring her daughters little tiny dog with her. She is living with Di as Vicky works. Di said she is so tiny. She's a mini yorkshire terrier. If she comes I will take a pic or two for Sandra.

Poor Winston Frank, pleased to see he's on the mend now but what an ordeal he went through, he's very lucky Harvey came home when he did. That's a big vet bill. So your roof is being done today, like Mel said it might be a good idea to leave it if it's windy though.
OH's back from the hospital, he was only out half an hour. Apparently the blood was coming from the fold in the skin around his belly button, (Yes Mel he still has one) so the nurse changed his dressing and he was sent home. The doctor couldn't get the dressing off that I'd put on and told OH I'd done a good job putting it on. He had to get a nurse to take it off.
OH's been told not to change the dressing and to leave it as long as he can to give the skin chance to heal properly. I should imagine it would pull the skin when the dressing is taken off and could cause it to open up, so no more dressing's for a few days. I've just checked the dressing and there's hardly any blood showing so it must be almost drained away now. The doctor said it's quite common for that to happen and it's not the stitches from the op, so no need to worry, pity they couldn't of told him that in the first place. Anyway he's fine, just a bit tired. I can see us both having a little nap this afternoon, we're both shattered.
Going to shut my laptop down now and get ready for the dentist, I need to nip to the shops and pick up OH's prescription and a couple of loaves of bread. Thankfully there is a nice cool breeze outside so it's not to hot to walk down there. Mum didn't sleep very well last night and looked tired when she brought OH home so I said I'd go to the dentist myself to save her coming back again. I'll be picking the wood up tomorrow or Saturday to, so once I'm home from the dentist I can sit down and relax.
Sandra has been brilliant helping me with OH and she keeps giving him cuddles, but very gently.......bless her. I've told Sandra you're going to send some pics of Di's tiny dog, so she's looking forward to that later Mel. Thank you.
Hope all is going well for Jane. I'm still thinking of her <3

Afternoon All,
The sun is shining so I shall nip out with my camera soon. OH has a 5.00pm meeting so I can do some jobs later while he is out.
Goodness it's all health problems lately isn't it! I hope Jane got an early slot and has had her hip done now and that Fitz is doing well.
Gill, fancy the tube breaking your OH's tooth! Then the bleeding in the night must have been worrying. Good that it wasn't the stitches though and that you can both relax now and have that snooze you both need. Sandra is doing her bit with cuddles too bless her. <3 Now just to sort your tooth out at the dentist and you can both recover. With everything else that's happened, having your tooth out won't be such a worry for you now.
Has your OH had his hip x-rayed Mel? It sounds as if it is quite bad now or is some pain a possible hernia as he thinks it might be? I'd like to see the pic of the miniature yorkie if you manage to get one. I bet it is really cute. :-)
I hope your hubby is improving Vera and that the latest meds are working well.
Oh Frank, the poor little kitty getting his head stuck like that. They do poke their noses in everywhere though. I hope his brain wasn't starved of oxygen and that he will completely recover without any effects. That was an eye watering bill that hopefully insurance will cover!! :-0 :-0
I'm not very pleased with the chemist that had to order one of my medications I collected yesterday. Despite being very clear that I needed the lotion, they got the cream instead and I had opened it before I realised. It cost nearly £11 so it's annoying when people do this, especially as I shall need to pay about the same again for the right stuff I expect. I know I should have checked, but they should get it right in the first place. :-S
I hope Colin is still improving Mandy. Will the children be able to enjoy the pool this weekend? We shall all be envying you with the temperatures that are expected. :-)
I decided not to use the T shirt at class as it was a dark coloured one and I didn't think the colours would show up so well. The lady had brought some thin linen type bags she had got for £1 each so I used one of those. She had all kinds of stamps. stencils. paints and pens we could use so I used a fish one on my bag. I am sewing some beads on it to finish it off. My friend managed to do 3 T shirts, one for herself and two little ones for relatives. They were cute with flower designs and a cat stamp. Another friend did one with the little girl's name on with different coloured letters and one lady did a beach type bag with 'Chips and Icecream' in coloured letters. Everyone's turned out well and we really enjoyed it. Next week we need to take scraps of material to hand sew some lavender hearts.
Better get going now.

Afternoon all,
Lewis arrived at 11.45, and got straight on getting all the fallen moss off the porch roof. He then scrambled up the roof and sprayed the WET and FORGET. It wasn't too windy here at that time. He has also done the back lawn. He had to highten the blade to finish the part that I left. Then put it down, and re-cut the complete lawn. It looks a treat. So I will ring Barry to tell him if he wants to still come on Saturday, I can find him a few jobs to do. The steps from the conservatory are starting to work loose, so he can re-cement those, and he can weed the VEG PATCH.
I am all alone at the moment. Lewis has gone to get his hair cut in Milton Keynes before going home. Ros has gone with Carolyn (AGAIN) as she needs flowers for the church, and we need a couple of items from Tesco.
I hope our Jane is comfortable after her operation. Talking of which, Val. next door is still in hospital. For how long I do not know. She just doesn't seem to be improving.
Harvey has taken both kittens to work with him. I isn't know but, the woman he does all this work for also bought a kitten from the same litter as FLORENCE, so they can all play together, and Harvey can keep an eye on them. ;-) ;-) ;-)
Lewis looked up the Temperature in France where his mum is. It's 38 an dwell get to 40 this weekend, the same for where Conrad is in Spain. He won't be to pleased as he's not really a SUN PERSON.
Lewis has loaded about 100 photo's from my Camera onto my MacBook. Many go back to my walks down the Canal, and lots of my garden.
This morning while Lewis was working. I made TWO SHEEP S@@@ PIES. one for him to take home, with a pile of broad beans and half a sweetheart cabbage. It will save Harvey cooking this evening, and one for ourselves. So dinner all sorted for today.
Ros is at Choir tonight, so I have the T.V. to myself. I will find some Police Programme to watch while she is out. I have recorded her soaps, which she can watch when I go to bed.
Glad to see that everyone seems to be improving HEALTH WISE. I have promised Ros that I will make an appointment to see the QUACK, but I doubt there is much they can do, regarding my aches and pains, My shaking seems to be worse when I try doing things, but I need to keep trying, or I will just VEGETATE. That I will never let it get to me.
Enjoy the rest of this beautiful afternoon, and hope that all the sick one, are feeling better. !!!!
I have a silly song that keeps going through my brain (YES I STILL HAVE ONE). Who remembers Mr Packaroni. "ALL OVER ITALY HE PLAYS HIS @@@@@ to all the Senyoritia's.(sp) I must look it up on GOOGLE. It's driving me mad. !!!

I will read back later but for now just to let you know we are home, traffic was horrendous, we don't usually travel mid week and the number of lorries compared to Sundays is massive. We had a couple of 50MPH bits that slowed us down and bad congestion around J 4a of the M5 but apparently junction 1 was closed completely after we had gone through so we were lucky. We stopped for 45 minutes but driving time was four hours so very good really. Now I have done one load of washing and OH has cut the lawn and tidies up a bit. Apparently we have had a lot of rain here which explains the jungle. We are out most of tomorrow so nothing will get done then.
Hope all has gone well for Jane. <3

That's good you are home AnnG especially after a horrendous journey. We went to Cornwall on a Friday a few years ago (we usually travel on Saturdays) and had the worst journey we have ever had with holdups. OH said 'never again' so it's back to Saturdays now. He did a lot of travel with his job and also went long distances on Saturdays with football and swore Saturday travel was far better than weekdays. You soon got cracking with washing and mowing the lawn!
That's a pity Mel, but there will be other opportunities for a photo.
Frank I bet you feel better now the garden is in good order again.........good old Lewis!! :-D I hope he didn't come in his sunday best to clamber up the ladder. As you say, there is plenty still for Barry to help with. It was good of Lewis to download your photos too. That's great that Harvey can take the kittens for 'play dates' with one of the others. They will love that and he won't worry what they are doing while he's at work. Will Harvey be getting them used to wearing harness around the house while they are little. I know some cats won't accept it once they get bigger, yet the Bengal cat near us loves his walks with his harness on. He comes up the close every day and apparently knows when it is 'walk time'. When he finds some interesting smells he sits down but otherwise he trots along like a dog would.
I didn't go far in the end or take any worthwhile photos so will get the washer on now and sort my beading bag for tomorrow and put a bottle of water in the fridge to cool to take with me as it may be hotter tomorrow.

Annx things had to be done today. OH won’t rest while the garden is out of control. Apparently they had a lot of rain here while we were away and there we were up North and no rain at all.. I have a hearing clinic appointment tomorrow hopefully to get my new aids. Then in the afternoon we have U3A photography group.
Gill, a tip I was given when I had quite a big op to remove two adjoining basal cell carcinomas from my trunk just under my boobs was if the wound bleeds don’t remove the dressing but put another dressing on top of the existing one. Pleased it was not as serious as you at first thought. Hope the tooth extraction went ok. Take it easy now after having it done.
Frank good that your lawn is done, it makes the garden look so much better doesn’t it? Oh dear poor Winston I hope he doesn’t suffer any ill effects from his ordeal. Phew what a bill for treatment too.
Mel the cough is still with us, so far I don’t have it but daughter who is on holiday in Turkey has apparently got it. And OH is still coughing.

Evening all,
It's been a better day here we've had some lovely sunshine and i got the washing all dry .
I've been thinking of Jane ,it must be all over now and hopefully she is now back on the ward ,tomorrow she will be on her feet taking a few steps and in less pain .
Oh Frank poor little puss ,if Harvey had been late in the poor little puss could have died ,i wonder what he caught his head in ,he'll have to have a good look round and check so he doesn't do it again . What a cost though ,hopefully he was insured . Good old Lewis getting the lawn done and the roof ,i bet you gave him a nice tip LOL
Oh dear Gill your poor OH ,i bet you were both worried when you saw the blood ,it's good they sorted him out but it would have been less worry if they had told him some thing like that might happen . Hope going to the dentist wasn't to bad for you and the tooth is now out so you won't have any more trouble with it .
Ann it sounds a nice little class that you have found ,i should think the bag will look nice with beads on to finish it off ,looking forward to seeing it when it's done . You'll have to keep an eye out in Aldi for the fat quarters they have them in there every few weeks ,they are handy for little projects like you are doing in class. Yes the children are coming on Saturday for a dip as it should be a nice hot day.
Glad your home safe and sound AnnG and you din't take long to get the washer going LOL Hope all goes well with the appointment tomorrow and you get the new aids . So OH's cough has gone on holiday with your daughter ,hopefully you won't get it .
Mel has OH been to the hospital about all the pain he's in ? does he take any pain killers for the pain ?
Hope your OH is feeling much better now Vera .
We're off to see Lewis in his first sports day tomorrow hope it keeps dry for them and doesn't get to hot .

Morning all
Bright and sunny here today, I've just watered the tomatoes and other plants in the greenhouse, plus the conifer and apple tree outside, will do the rest of the garden this evening.
Sorry I didn't make it back on here yesterday, both OH and I were so tired we both had a sleep, OH went to bed when I went to the dentist with Sandra and then when he got up I went back to bed for a few hours, we both had an early night to. Both of us are feeling slightly better today. The visit to the dentist went better than I thought, although I did get a bit anxious beforehand so ended up with pins and needles in my hands and forearms, but that soon went away once the tooth was out. I sat in the waiting room for about 10 minutes until I felt fit enough to walk home, Sandra was great and thought I'd screamed in the dentist (which I didn't) but as soon as I returned to the waiting room she gave me a big hug......bless her. I nearly forgot to pay for my treatment as normally OH does it, so the receptionist and I had a bit of a laugh about that. My mouth is a bit sore today which is to be expected, OH has got a cough which he says is annoying, but apart from that he's okay to. We're both looking forward to a more relaxing day today.
Pity Di didn't come to visit Mel, but I'm sure you'll have a photo soon. I'll let Sandra know she might have to wait a while to see it. I think your OH should have himself checked out by the doctor if he's in pain, better to be safe than sorry.
That was nice of Lewis to sort out your lawns and roof Frank, you just need Barry to sort out your steps and veg patch now, then everything will be done. How's the shower, do you need a new one, or is it okay now?
I hope everything went well for Jane yesterday, I was thinking about her all day.
You'll need plenty of sun cream for you all when you are outside this weekend Mandy, the sun is supposed to be really hot and strong. It'll be lovely to go in the swimming pool, I do envy you all.
Looking forward to seeing your bag when it's finished Ann, the beads sound like it'll finish it off nicely.
So you're home safe and sound now AnnG, that's the problem with returning home after a holiday, all the washing and gardening that needs sorting out.
How is Bob now Vera, is he improving? I've been thinking about you both and hope he's on the mend now.
Going to get a cuppa, then I'm going to take a look at OH's family tree, I've lots of people to add. I didn't feel like doing it yesterday, with being so tired, so I want to have a good go at it today. I think we'll be getting the wood from mum's neighbour sometimes next week now. Hopefully it'll be a bit cooler then to.
