Hi All
Had a bit of rain today instead of snow, main roads are fine, our own road is still hard work, got a taxi to back class today, wasn't going to go but OH chased me and said I needed to get out of the house because I was feeling low about my dad. glad I went though had a good natter with the other woman there.

Frank sorry that they couldn't do anything for Ros , she must be feeling terrible. I only have sore back musles , and I know how low and teary I was when my back was really sore & I couldn't pick up Sofia when she was tiny and give her a hug, I hope pain killers and injections give her some comfort.

it's getting dark now, soon be closing the curtains, I have started to put out a few Christmas candles and decorations on the walls, just a star here or there trying to get into the festive mood,

Mel , how long is your hair have you ever had it cut ?

16.10pm.

Fiona yes I have had it cut in the past but not for the last 19 years. Only about six inches of wispy ends at each Christmas. It must be about 3'6" long or however long my arms are down my sides as the end reaches them.

Mel thats quite a lenth no wonder you are not keen to get it cut, must take quite a while to wash and dry it.

OH was working again from home today and has just shouted from the dinning table " Honey I'm home "lol, he's gone out to clear the driveway of snow before it goes dark,

The OHs should be like me, sit around most of the day, on the computer or reading books, that what retirement is all about. Come spring, I will be busy in the garden.

Ros sounds like she really needs some help with her pain Frank, it's bound to get her down. My sister has to take morphine at times when her pain is bad with her osteoarthritis, but she says it does work.

I think I will have to dig out a HAT now my hair is cut. lol Went out with OH later looking around some shops, then over to see his parents, going the scenic route.......MISTAKE!! The road we took was still white over, but with tracks of ice where a few car tyres had been. Another slow, crawling along journey. We saw a field of Alpacas/Llamas on the way and they did look funny against the snow with their long necks.

Lol Jane........you should have got 2 e-mails, one titled Cute!!, but it has been returned with some error message. Another e-mail I sent to someone else has come back with the same message too. I could not get into my e-mails at all last night so there seems to be a glitch. I will try it again a bit later.

Yes Ann she has ,but the funny thing is she has actually had a much easier journey than the people she works with who live in London lol.
Right ,off to the station now.The drive is icy in the gateway I may have to have a couple of runs to get out.

Ann, i have got both your emails ok , love the Cute one , he's just like a big ball of wool with little stick legs lol

I remember mum hanging washing out and bringing it in all frozen ,jumpers with the arms all stiff that you had a job to fold them in, and trying to fold sheets that had been on the line ,your fingers were nearly blue with the cold after folding them .
Hanging them on a linen horse and then watching them steam as they thawed out !!

Never heard Linen Horse before Mandy .Clothes horse is what we called it.Ours would be in the kitchen in front of the boiler. As the older it got the more wonky it got lol.It was a bit like putting up a deckchair.

Annx Report 3 Dec 2010 20:05

No Mandy, I'd not heard them called that either. A work colleague from Manchester years ago talked about a clothes maiden! lol

OH and I are both pooped and off to bed now. The cold weather seems to tire me out. lol Or maybe all that 'off roading' did yesterday.

Night, night xx
