SNAP Mandy, I'm in a pair of shorts. Having the heating on all the time dosen't allow the house to get cold. Bugg## the bills, keeping warm is more important.

Morning All,

It started to rain last night and iot had turned much warmer. This morning there is still a bit of snow out there but you can now see the grass through it. OUtside the bungalow the road is a sheet of ice where the postman turns round when he comes.

Bitterly cold here.
Knocked off some huge icicles day before yesterday,nearly dragged the gutter off when the ice and snow behind them slid.
I feel lazy not having shifted "my" snow.Where would I put it? On my neighbours path?On the road?
Our bins have'nt been emptied this week or the road gritted.Grim.

When we went to Holsworthy the other day, going under the railway bridge there was a huge icicle hanging from the middle of the arch about 2 and a half foot long. Bet that got knocked off by a lorry!

It was to do with 'stockings 'Mel.When I said about my tights not staying up lol

Morning .Foggy here but not so cold .I can see drips coming off the summerhouse roof.

I've just had a nice shower and hair wash so need to get my hair dry..........otherwise I shall catch a cold when I go out lolol

Still sitting in my dressing gown, I will be off for shower and shave after this.
It does seem a bit milder out there this morning. It was snowing quite hard at 12.30 last night, but all clear this morning.

DIL is coming 12.00. with her grand daughter who is up from Torquay She is only three.They are all popping down to M.K. to see the decorations and SANTA

The phone is sitting on the table, on the other end is an INDIAN talking to himself about my computer. Asking what problems, he can help my with.
10 minutes has elapsed and I picked up the phone. HE WAS STILL THERE persistant or what. I let him continue. He was asking me to press this key then this one, I said YES. You could hear his voice change. When I said nothing had changed on my screen. He seemed to get the IDEA that I was messing him about. Finally I told him to "PUSH" off, or I would report him to the police. The phone went dead. BE CAREFULL.

Back to my post. We had a letter from the Orthopedic Surgeon this morning, a lot of which I didn't understand. It is a copy of a letter to our Doctor.But the long and short of it is that he WON'T operate, but will start these injections. which he says is 60% successful. So we just have to wait for an appointment. As I think I mentioned she won't be able to drive for a few days as her leg will be stiff. Will get DIL to take her, it will take quite a few hours.So hope she has the spare time

Frank I have had those phone calls too. OH answered one for me as they were coming thick and fast at one time. He said he was a McAfee technition and what was this man doing ringing us. We have'nt had one since.

OH rang Dyson this am as the turbo isn't working on the hoover, and I have to say that we didn't have to wait to long for someone (!) to answer, the chap on the other end was really helpful, AND they are sending someone out to fix it a week on Monday under its guarentee,even though OH has changed the switch and generally had a good look at it! this would usually invalidate the guarantee on most things, but Dyson are quite happy to repair it free of charge!! I couldn't believe how good they were! OH sounded SO surprised!!! there you go Frank, I told you that the Dentist visit was a good omen!!!! Good advertisment for Dyson! I do hope that the injections work for Ros Frank, back problems are just WICKED, fingers crossed.

Just back from Tes**.My goodness it was heaving.Quite a few shelves with not a lot on,especially Teabags!.I bought a lovely bit of Gammon to cook for Xmas.I can keep it the fridge until then which is good as I don't have a massive freezer.

I had the call about my so called computer problems just a couple of days ago.I had a spell of calls like that not so long ago.

Liz ,I found Dyson people very good on the phone so time ago.I think I had a crack in the hose or something and they just sent me a new one.Just like that lol.
Has anyone got one that rolls on a ball?I think that looks a good idea.

Frank loved those emails ..The Far**** Elves lol.

I need to put that horrible ointment in my eyes again now.I didn't do it before I went out as I wouldn't have been able to see,and it's all greasy.

I haven't posted any cards yet.The post office had the queue going out the door earlier.Hopefully I now have enough stamps so shouldn't need to go back again for a while

Jane Rutland son has a "BALL" I hAVE USED IT, BUT IT SEEMS TO GO WHERE IT WANTS, AND NOT WHERE YOU WANT IT TO GO.!!! Sorry about type had caps lock on. I am always catching it when I hit the "A". but don't notice it as I am looking at keyboard and not the screen.

Mel, I read somewhere that when you get one of these calls. If you say "just a minute" and leave the phone on the side as I did, they get feed up with waiting. Mine didn't, I tried 1471 but to no avail. I think if you followed the instructions they give you, you would end up in a whole lot of trouble !!!!!
SO FRIENDS " BE VERY CAREFUL". IF IN DOUBT PUT THE PHONE DOWN.

Ros, Dil,her daughter with baby Ella have gone to M.K. they are going to meet other DIl there for a coffee and chat. God only knows when they will be back. It's so nice. No TV When I am off this I will read my book. Peace and quite.!!! Who's a lucky boy then ???
