Well the house has had a lick and a promise, sorry Daff have to turn down your generous offer to share yours, especially considering the dead livestock!! Washing is drying (or not) in the conservatory, been round to post a couple of letters and get the papers, now just going to make a coffee. also got to sort myself for the Glos Lifestyles AGM tomorrow, my nightmare, bless them they are all lovely but many of our members, being disabled, have speech problems, with my hearing problem which is worse in a large room, even using the loop makes taking minutes a bit hit and miss. They never get the idea of not talking until they have the mike in their hand. I have a helper but she has a very soft voice Lol!!!! Would make a good sitcom.

Well... it would make an excellent chapter in a book, lol!!

I have done a quick recce downstairs.... can't find anything untoward..... they don't often bring them upstairs, but this last couple of weeks there have been one or two, so off I go up there to have a little look in case I have missed a couple of others...... much more awkward, as it means moving beds to look underneath them. *glares at Jethro and Hermie*

Hi, Daff, Just been to Range, very low on craft stuff, I also wanted more storage boxes, but the ones they used to have they no longer stock , and they have stopped selling scrapbooks too, seems in my neck of the wood people are not craft minded, not to worry we have lots of craft shops in the area....still managed to spend though... lol.... I need to get some more photos, .....

Hope you and everyone are o.k.

Hello all!

ych....this rain is not fair....its the summer holidays for goodness sake! my Dad got my kids a teepee, tent and tunnel that all joins together - my sister bought it over yesterday - but they can't use it, cos its too big for in the house.....and its chucking it down! grrrrrrrr!

Daff......yuk! my cat was rubbish...she got cornered by a mouse in the garden once! was terrified - but at least she never bought me "presents" to show how much she loved me.....gosh you are ungrateful! lol!

hello.................to everyone else.................!!!! xxxxxxxxxxxx

Gave it all up as a bad job!! I have managed to move and peer behind a couple of pieces of furniture, but am now knackered, so took to bed for a while with my codewords... then grabbed a pile of bits and bobs... I found some shoe boxes, so I am about to cover them with pretty wrapping paper.... Jean, I bought some lovely boxes in West Wales, very pretty. If my craft session turns out ok, I shall have some boxes for the two little princesses to store their treasures while they are here!

I have had a setback with the wedding page for my mum... turns out I have got the wrong colour green..... the colour I have gone and co-ordinated was my auntie's wedding dress, which was a pale sage type green... my mum's was pale aquamarine... so back to the drawing board, lol I have seen pieces of the green... it was in my Gran's memory blanket... I hadn't realised that was my Auntie's and not my mums.

I have their marriage and my mum's birth certificates on order... I have the originals, but both have been damaged, and are sellotaped and watermarked, so didn't scan too well... meanwhile, I have a huge bag of other treasures that they brought down on Friday to go through, but on good days the garden takes priority... the cold days of winter will be the perfect time to get it all out and really go at it.

So, now I have my new printer...... I am going to do some Christmas pages.... for Christmases past!! I know, I know.... but it is all so cheap at
the moment, lolol

Right.... lets go and get all stuck up!

Lol, Daff you are so fired up with this scrapbooking lark, its great... I do hope you will send me the pages when you do them, I have some I did of my mothers side of the family. I think I have some 12x12 papers you can have.I wont be using them again, my next project will be the G.R. book when I can get my daughter to scan all your piccies, then I am going to do some snaps of scenery, if it stays fine....

The storage boxes I was looking for are plasic that holds 12x12 papers ,I managed to buy some folders to store the smaller papers I actually got office files with several compartments , great for all the matting card and bits of paper, also holds all the strips I have made...

I have just put a lot of photos of our past holiday visits in an 8x8 book, funnily enough that was more fiddily than the larger books...

But now I have no more photos,I think I will have to have a further look and see if I have some hidden away....Happy scrapping...

AnninGlos Report 10 Aug 2009 17:42

Jean, I found the 8x8 much harder than 12 x 12.
My 'office' would be a lot tidier if I had all co-ordinating boxes but I haven't, i Have four of one sort, three of another, a round hat box style, a plastic A4 size, ribbons stacked on dowling, all sorts, oh yes and a set of 6 drawers on castors as well.

*glumly*

Anyone understand how to play with Adobe Photoshop? It is far to complicated for me..... I wanted to make my mum's dress into an aquamarine... but I don't know how to on that, Picasa doesn't do it... and nor do the millions of others I have looked at! Or if they do... I didn't understand the jargon enough to know that they do!!

Oh, but my boxes are lovely... I have, of course, left a trail of destruction and mess... but R is home tomorrow, lolol He'll help me clear it, bless him. :¬)))

*sigh* back to the drawing board!!

Ann, I havent a special room I used to have a complete wall in my bedroom, when I made cards, but suddenly decided I wanted my bedroom back...
now I have a cupboard on castors in our little conservatory so I can wheel it out when I want to do some craft, but have to have everthing in containers so that we have room to sit !!! not the best solution....would you mind sending me your page of the Lake District, we love going there...

MrDaff Report 11 Aug 2009 08:51

Morning everyone... beautiful day today!!

BC..... fat lot of use I'd be... I'd just glare at it, and tug frantically at my stuck bit of paper... I do that bit like men do with the bonnets of their broken down clapped out cars, mind... you know, the lift bonnet, look inside all knowing, dip the stick thingy in and peer at it, shake head, walk around car... collapse to floor and look under, get up, look at wheels, kick wheels, look under bonnet... then mutter... *I think I know what's wrong... it'll take me five minutes to fix it* and then 10 weeks later, various bits of the innards of said car have been lovingly dotted all around the house on your best carpets...... Well, that is what would probably happen to your printer, with a little bit of help from me, lolol

*sighs deeply* I was either a man in my last life (before they invented the wheel, of course) or I am in training to be one in the next (when the wheel will be obsolete, and we'll all be hovering around via mind transference, or sommat)

Have you got the speech sorted out? I could get out R's Swahili tapes (I kid you not) and write something up quickly for you... no-one will know if you have said the wrong thing then... mmmmm I think there is Mandarin Chinese in the garage as well.........? *huge, encouraging smile*

Morning Maz..... what are your plans for today?

Me... I'm going to try and play with my new printer... and sort out an easy peasy photo thingy, so that I can mess around with photos, and get them back to the original state if they get too badly messed up. I have Adobe photoshop and also Elements... but be blowed if I know how to play with them!! Even the tutorials are gibberish, as far as I am concerned. And then they lock it, and I can't unlock it... Grrrrrrrr!!

R is home today.... in fact, he is off for the rest of the week... I am off to hospital this evening, as long as there is a bed, biopsy tomorrow, out on Thursday, and off to the clinic for the bone marrow results on Friday.... busy social life, this, isn't it? lol

Oh well... lets go and get a cuppa, and then play with photos for a while.

Have a brilliant day, everyone, however you choose to play with it!

ps.... slept like a log, BC... switched light off, slept 6 hours solid, up for a little visit..... then went back out like a light until about 8.15!! Blissful! xxxx

*groans....please Daff let me have the Mandarin wedding speech, I havent got long to practise and am getting desperate! I also had a fall this morning on some bloody cobblestones and do you know what was my first thought as I hurtled (heavily) to the ground.??? Yes, my nails!! But no worries I didnt break one! pmsl

Glad you had a good sleep, it makes such a difference to the day along with some sunshine.

I was chuckling at the thoughts of Ann at her AGM and everyone shouting or looking bewildered. Would love to see the interpretation of the Minutes!!

And to the lovely E-Bayer who sent me my jewels by special delivery....mwahhhh.....just what I wanted!

*sighs....will have to now go to Oxford Street for some sandals........

BC, please take more water with the Baileys.

Do hope you are OK, just seen a photo of a friend who lives in Hertfordshire who had a fall on holiday, she fell on her face (in June so OK now), her eyes and face looked as though she had been beaten up, all purple and red, it looked so painful. Don't know why but she is forever falling over and always has done. She is quite a big lady too so fall heavily.

Daff, enjoy your day playing, I am sure you will be back on here if not I will be thinking of you. You can lie in hospital while waiting for the biopsy and remember the story i told you, that will give you a chuckle.
