lol Maz... they are just hidden... if that cat tries to play with them again (he thinks he is helping, lol) and drags them all back out I'll send him to my sister... she thinks he's cute! Cute? He's blummin gorgeous!! But he does not help when he thinks he does!!

The conservatory is lovely, and my favourite place to be... very big, but we kept some of the costs down by tiling ourselves.... small local firm did it for us, and we have been very pleased with it. I am currently using it as a junk room, but will get it sorted this weekend if the weather is bad!!

Weather bad?????? I think not Daffers - if you recall I ordered some good stuff for this weekend weather-wise (by mistake I admit, cos it should have been last weekend for your meet).

Our Village Event takes place tomorrow and we simply must have good weather - it's imperative! I look so sad in my waterproofs and wellies ))))

Up early tomorrow as we have to set the stall up for 8.00 am so will be well and truly kippered by the opening at 10.30 am.

Last year we on the gardening stall took the princely sum of £470.00 so this year the target is £500.00 and if it rains (£6.50!!!)

We have some lovely plants - some donated from a local nursery and I thought of you when I saw them - I thought, I know someone who could use these!!!!

I do hope everyone has a lovely weekend, just chilling out and enjoying the start of summer.

Bi for now

Good luck for tomorrow Jac...I am sure the weather will be perfect!

Evening Daff and all. I was in a panic because my little netbook just FROZE yesterday and I didn't know what to do as it is fairly new, and I am used to my old Mac and never had a PC before...*sobs..... Anyway son just been on phone and talked me through it so it is unfrozen! lol

Otherwise, it's been a good day. Happy Friday to one and all:-)

Cheeky!!, lolololol

I have just popped on in the interval of America's got talent..... it is great having this so close to the tv, lol!

Huia... believe you me, R nearly did wear them, a couple of times!! We didn't have enough tiles to finish.. broke just two, but were able to use them... but R had measured up, and these tiles were on special offer... I wanted to get another pack, he said no, we'd have a pack over.... and we didn't... so I went back to get another pack... and they had sold out... they couldn't get me any from anywhere, as it was a discontinued line... so the bit by the french door has reclaimed old cream *outdoors* pottery tiles.. it looks ok, but not what I wanted!!

Same with the wallpaper in the lounge... although I was able to get another roll of that.

BC, I am so pleased you have been defrosted!! These children of ours do sometimes show some signs of their expensive education, don't they? lol

Jac... the weather will be superb for you, I can feel it in me waters!! Not too hot, because that would make everyone just a little fractious with such an early start... that is the middle of my night at the moment, lol!

Good luck.... and I hope you make £600!!

Love

Morning,

I got back from London after a 8 and a half hour drive!!!!! M25 chockablock and then huge tailbacks to the bridge and all through to Cardiff because of the Oasis concert *ggrrrr*. I had to be levered out the car when we arrived home.

Saw aged BIL to check how he is doing, saw nephew and family for one eveniing. Met OH's cousin to get more info on his family, that was worth travelling to the centre of London for :-)) She still thinks gt. granpa was a murderer!

Met up with Jean Durant and Maz (they were absolutely smashing), tea and cake in the garden none the less. They took photos and I did try to hide my extra chins but sadly without much success.

It'll take me two days now to get over the journey.

Hope you are all OK and Daff please don't go climbing any mountains please...lol

Evening all!!

Jac, are you suitably knackered, and did you take lots of pennies for those plants?? We have had glorious weather here... had lunch out in the garden!!

Mau... the tiles in the conservatory are the best bit, lol... they look straight if you've had a glass or two of wine......... ;¬)))

Sue, you could have dropped off here..... I'd have oiled yer joints for you!! R got caught up in the traffic as well...... it took him two hours to get from M5/M4 thingy at Almondsbury to our house!! I promise not to climb mountains, lol........ moved some furniture downstairs yesterday, and am shattered today... but I slept like a log last night!!

Hi Maz, we have had glorious weather here, although it has just started spitting with rain. I have half the covers from the sofa's to hang out... the other half are dry.. but not too sure what to do!!

Hiya Jen... Taff has sent me some photos, but I am not sure if they are the ones you took... must ask her!

Hiya Jean... hope you have enjoyed your day out... I was going stir crazy at times cos I was so limited as to where I could go...... hope J's follow up gets his scar dealt with.... it sounds painful.

Well.. off to do some tea now... lunch feels like it was hours ago.

Hope it went well today Jac and you had the weather we had. see it should have been last weekend!

We are teenager sitting tonight Lol! well our neighbours have gone to see Elton John in Bristol and their 15 and a half year old son is on his own next door with instructions to knock if he has a problem. He is probably on his Wii or pc but we haven't seen him, he is a quiet lad.

Well, the garden looks good for when we are away, will need re-doing when we come back. We are all packed and ready to go, just got to load it all into the car. so refreshing when you are not restricted by weight! (Try telling that to T, he'd restrict me if he could!!!!)

Morning Sunshines!!!

Well, what a day yesterday! glorious weather (although just a few rain spots at 8.30 ish but they soon went) and off the Village Event went like a rocket.

Gardening Stall took......................wait for it.............£736.85. Absolutely brilliant, considering there is a credit crunch etc. Few straggly tom.plants left (and a tray of Forget-Me-Nots which someone had painstakingly set - I shall retrieve these I think and dot them around the garden, cos they are lovely if a bit prone to mildew - lol).

Got in at 10.00 pm last night, cos we stopped on for a drink and BBQ and a live band. Even had a dance!

I bought a New Zealand shrub/tree and when I can find my glasses and can read the label I'll tell you what it is. Very pretty foliage (bit like Mimosa type of leaves) and has yellow flower. The lady who donated it put a NZ stamp on the label, showing the flower. I reckon someone on here will know it - lol

Anyway flowers, you all have another glorious day doing Sweet Fanny Adams if that's your choice, or labouring in the hot sun - but whatever, you all take care.

Bi for now

Jac, at a 'rough guess' I would say the plant is a Kowhai. Sophora is the Latin name (unless the experts have decided to change it which they do sometimes, just to annoy me). It is glorious when it flowers, covered in the flowers, cant usually see the leaves. The flowers are a bit like gorse (which is a curse here in NZ) but then they are the same family. I wish we could put photos on these threads. I am on another site on which I can add photos to the thread. Means I can show others where I have been or what I have been up to or whatever. I put a picture of our local waterfall one day and a picture of our native Fuchsia procumbens another, and of the tree planting we did a week ago in a park, on a steep slope. The photo page on this site is uselss for photos.

Huia.
