Morning Daff and all... Good luck today at the Clinic, Daffy bring a good book with you to while away the time:-) First of all many congratulations to Star for renewal of vows, such a lovely romantic idea!

Sun is blazing again this morning, must remember to take my Spanish fan when I travel on the Underground later on. Off to the park now, will walk in the shade as dog hates this heat. Well she comes from the north of Japan and her thick coat was supposed to keep the cold out!

Happy Monday to all. BCXXX

If you lot have too much heat you could send some here to NZ. We had a very heavy frost this morning. I am not all that keen on the cold though on the other hand it is probably better than too much hot, at least with the cold I can put on more clothes/light the fire/turn on the electric blanket/whatever but with hot, all I can do is wilt.

Huia.

Afternoon all, only just found time to get on, still washing/ironing, not unpacked everything yet, had to make another trip to T***o to get petrol in my car once we got it started again when the battery had charged, also had vouchers and wanted to double one up to buy wine. Not bad, with all the vouchers, money off coupons i had I started with a bill of £29 and paid £10. Had a voucher for £1.50 off a gammon joint so got a small one which only then cost £2.50, bargain that as it does 2 meals for us.

Sorry you are not well Jude, hope it is gone before Saturday.

Speak again later

Afternoon all.... well, I have to carry on seeing them every fortnight for a while... my haemoglobin is now absolutely normal, although white blood cell count has gone back down a little. They think that it may stabilise as it is, roughly, and that I will always have slightly low platelets and slightly low neutrophils... so must be careful of sharp knives, and any horrendous bugs.... but ordinary colds etc no longer constitute *horrendous bugs* for me, lol

So I can now have a normal diet, no more neutropenic diet for me!! And I do not have to isolate myself from cinema's, busy shops, theatres etc

We were hoping that all would be in the *normal* range, but it looks like this is where it will stay... but as I no longer have so many restrictions on me...... and I can start travelling further afield as long as I feel up to it... well, life doesn't come much better, does it?

We have just got back from a lovely pub lunch, where I had medium rare steak (bliss!!) salad with lettuce, and coleslaw.... all restricted foods before.... and tonight I can have the chili con carne that was left over from dinner yesterday, as reheated homecooked food was a no-no too..... norty!!!

So, we just have to sit tight and hope this doesn't return... it has a nasty habit of doing so.... but I feel very positive that I have zapped it once and for all.... down to a lot of prayers, positive thoughts and love from all of you!!

Thank you so very much, each and everyone who has contributed to the thread... and the many who don't add to the thread but send pm's, cards and well wishes in other ways, some of whom I have never seen on the boards!! You are all truly, truly amazing people, and I am so very glad I have you in my life and on my side.

I love you all.

So pleased for you Daff, that makes my day. Now you can enjoy the meet and not worry about bugs, and if we have a cold on the day we can still come (but not breath on people Lol!!!!) And not a bad thing to keep attending fortnightly, then they will be keeping a close eye on you.

I am sure that you have kicked it into touch once and for all, so lovely of people you have not even 'met' on here to send you good wishes isn't it?

Back to the garden, what colour aquilegias do you have?

Wonderful news! I'm so pleased for you and all your family too.
