Morning all..... Hi Liz... it would have helped if R had set it properly.... plus it hasn't been updated in about 3 years, so that doesn't help!!

Hi Jean... my crewcut is dead snazzy, isn't it??? lol... woman in Asda yesterday... similar hairstyle to mine, it's like a badge, lol.... came up to me and said that she had followed my lead, going *au naturale* as she found wigs and bandanas uncomfortable and awkward, but wore them because she was embarrassed by her hair loss... then saw me swanning around Asda one day, and decided to join me!! She said she wouldn't have had the courage had she not seen me.... wasn't that nice of her? And I am now a fashionista... is that the word?

HL are here for the last day... gate is going on, the front is being shingled, and then the beds will be dug over... the big skip has just left, and the little skip will be here soon for the last bits and bobs...... it will be sad to see them finish, in one way... it's nice to see them around.

Must go and have a shower and get ready for the day...... or maybe go back to bed for an hour or so!! ;¬)))

Love to all

Morning all. One thing we have learnt from the satnav, also not an updated one, is that if you use the post code you really need the number of the property as well. which is sometimes awkward with hotels, pubs etc.

That was nice of that lady Daff wasn't it.

Lol Ann.... R took control of the sat nav.... he came over all masterful, lol!! But mine is different to his, and I didn't realise it... he couldn't add the postcode, just the area... so Tom took us to the centre of the marine quarter!! On R's you just put in the address plus postcode, On Tom it is either or, I think...... anyways, R didn't say what he had done, or that he had a problem getting it to accept the postcode... so I was oblivious, and blamed poor Tom!!

Afternoon all! glad you all had a good time at the Meet - sorry about the weather - I had arranged for a good day (not too warm, but just right) but got the dates wrong! apologies! I think you'll find this Saturday will be as ordered!

The garden seems to be shaping up well Daff, and I'm really pleased that it's all coming right for you.

BC - a new bed sounds just the thing! I want one!

Take care and Love to all

*sobs* they have gone... finished... it looks lovely... just need to put in the plants now. They have shingled part of the front for me as well.....

I will try and sort out somewhere to put the photos so you can see them if you want to...

The back is a bit of a mess... we have all the plants stored there, plus the pots we need to fill, and the bags of bark, compost and manure are all lined up there as well.....

This is going to be soooo much fun, filling it all up!!

My veggie patch is wonderful... just need to put some veggies in it now... trip to garden centre tomorrow???

lol Ann, almost exactly what R has just said... he phoned to see if they had finished just now. He is going to get a celebratory bottle of red on his way home, which will be nice.

I am off out to deadhead and pull out some weeds for now! Must go and do something!! :¬))

All very well for R to celebrate with a bottle of red, but how are you going to celebrate Daff since you vowed teetotalism?

MrDaff Report 9 Jun 2009 21:02

Wmsl at Ann.... you know me too well, lolol

Huia, hubby brought home the wine... I haven't had more than a mouthful, and had to put it down.... I tend to go weeks without a glass.... and then one day I can swig it for Britain, lol.... but then I start the cycle again. I think I am probably a middle aged binge drinker who says *never again* until the next time!! lolol ;¬)) How are you? Getting enough sleep and rest, I hope.

MrDaff Report 10 Jun 2009 09:45

Morning all.. lol Ann, he did, well not all of it, I have some for the spagh bol later, lol

Well, the sun is trying to shine.... the forecast isn't good, but it is trying it's best to be good out there!

My dishwasher has gone on strike, and my mattress has lost a spring!! I think that is why I am waking up in so much pain and stiffness....

Soooooo I am going to bash and thump the dishwasher with a hammer and screwdriver, to see if I can get it motivated again..... and then look at new mattresses online..... wonder what else will call it a day, seeing as these things tend to go in three's, lol!!

I am going to plant up two tubs today... sweet peas and petunia, but next year there will be peas and beans growing up that trellis, lol!

See you all later... am off to make some toast and tea!

Love

Good morning Daff, you sound bright eyed and bushy tailed despite an errant spring!! I did a quick 20 minutes hatchet job in the garden before coming up here -I have winter clothes to 'archive' and T shirts etc to get out (summer WILL come soon I am sure!) Maybe I will stop buying new T shirts when I see how many are in the cupboard from last year Lol!!

hatchet job was cutting down a huge heather and part of a shrub that was overgrown, glad I did because I 'found' a hardy fuchsia growing away underneath it all. We had to stop cutting back on Monday because the garden bin was full and we even topped up next doors before the bin men came (they don't mind).

Speak later.
