Glad you are feeling a bit better Daff.

Not got a new washer yet no, feeling disgruntled at C****s at the moment because they advertise free delivery but when you ask about it in the shop it is free delivery if you don't mind waiting 2 weeks, £9.95 if you have it delivered up until then and even more if you want next day delivery. Not honest in my opinion so off to C***t this afternoon.

AnninGlos Report 29 Jul 2010 16:26

We next went to C***t, they had free delivery on a few but charge to deliver normally and to take away and their start price was more than C****s.

So we went to an independent shop which we had never been to before. service was pleasant, not intrusive, delivery is free on the day we want it and upload of old machine is £5. We can ring in the morning and they will tell us when it is scheduled for delivery.

In the end we went for a cheaper machine 1200 spin, 6K load Hotpoint with low energy ratings and good wash and spin ratings. As it was only £224.00 if it only lasts a few years we can afford another one with the money we saved by not buying an expensive one. With only 2 of us it is not a heavily used machine. The one that we are getting rid of was a washer drier (condenser) but we very rarely used the drier.

OH will put it in himself.

Well, all done and dusted, my favourite nurse (she used to be on the wards, but is doing a stint in the Daycentre) was my named nurse, so we had a good gossip... she was the one who saved my life twice, well, I know she called the docs in, but she already had everything set up by the time they got to me..

Others on the wards popped down to say hello, as well.... which was really kind... and helped while away the almost 4 hours I was there.

The doc is lovely, and she has done my bonemarrow a couple of times, so knew the problems everyone has... so took the necessary steps, so it was all in place. She is very gentle, and it was the least painful one I have had, so that is brilliant.

My bloods have come up, except my platelets which have gone down a little, so at least my immune system is kicking back into place.

The bone marrow sample looked good on a visual, it needs in depth testing, but the signs are there that it is more likely to be good than not... which is a huge relief.

So, now I can enjoy my weekend, without this hanging over me....

Thank you all mwah

Love

Daff xxxx

Lolol Ann... I know, thank you... I caught them all and tucked 'em in my Bridget's.... they worked a treat, didn't they?

The doc, god she looks about 12, and whizzes around like she is on roller skates... they are all pretty wonderful, to be honest... but my main daycentre named nurse wasn't there, she is away on holiday, so I missed her. It was almost like a social event, lolol It could become the in thing ;¬))

Anyway, the doc is optimistic..... and they don't say that lightly!

Off for a lie down before going off out this evening.

Love and (((((hugs))))) and zillions of thank you's
