morning all I have repotted the Aspidistra it has a wobble pot so it dont fall over any more .
Am off to sign my CRB stuff for a new job its relief work at the moment to top up my wage now .but it is what i want to do I think so will see its in supported housing with Mental health so its the best way to get a foot in the door .

Good luck with the new job hunt,Maz, and thanks for the lovely photo of Gizmo, I shall stick it on the mantelpiece here and he will cheer us all up:-) I still think that uniforms would be tres chic and that orange would be very becoming,anyway we could have a vote on it.

Helloooo I'm here, reporting as said. Now as to uniforms please not orange but I don't mind an orange 'Daff's army badge'. I don't do frilly aprons either, oh dear am I being to fussy lol. A nice cap/hat at a jaunty angle would be very fetching for us ladies don't you think.

We had quite a bit of rain over night so the garden looks quite fresh this morning.
Did I tell you about my sun flowers, well in case I didn't, I brought a pack from £shop which had seeds etc for my g/ch to plant as they wanted to grow something most of the seeds grew and we had fun putting them in the garden and they grew and grew and grew and at the moment the tallest is about 12ft (give or take an inch) and the shortest is 5ft. I have been taking photos at various times to chart their progress for the gr/ch.

Well best go and do some more swearing I suppose.

BC. I remember Ruby Murrey. When I was a child, if Dad had a good week, we had the accumalator topped up for the weekend, and listened to Radio Luxemberg. Those were the days.

Mind you I also liked Teresa Brewer singing 'Put another Nickel in, in the Nickelodeon. I think it was the American influence. We had them stationed near us for the Polaris submarines, and a young lady of slightly ill repute, who lived next to us, used to ' pay court' to them. Many mornings she could be found slumped on the front doorstep. Alot to answer to those damned Yankies. Still playing the old, ' overpaid, oversexed, and overhere ', even when the war was over.

If we didn't get the accumulator topped up, Dad would fill a line of jeely jars with different levels of water, and tap out a tune.No iPods or Walkmen then.

Yuk !! indeed Ann ......but I can claim to have been thinking I was the " bees knees " at the time ( as I was only nine ....lol ) having said that , my dress sense hasn't developed much over the years : )) lol

Wmsl and leaky eyes all a the same time, lol.... what a truly wonderful group of people you all are, lolol.

I will be around at least for the next week. I get the result of the cytogenetics then, which is a sort of *leukaemia identity parade* lol. That is important, as it will tell the lovely Top Doctor Man exactly what chemo to use, and how many courses before the transplant. The actual transplant will be in 2 to 3 months time, after a series of intensive chemo.

I will have Winnie back, as well, and hopefully will manage to keep him with me for the duration this time.

Because I will be having someone elses healthy bone marrow (actually, stem cells, probably, they don't really need to get them from the marrow any more in most cases) my marrow should return to full health much more quickly... and with my brother's blood group, not mine.

The delicate bit is killing off most of mine and introducing the donor... there is the chance of rejection. In fact, a part of the cure actually rests and relies on a mild dose of rejection (graft versus host syndrome) as the donor, healthy marrow, should then fight and overcome my weak and depleted marrow, and including any rogue cells left floating around. Simples, lolol But it is a bit of a balancing act, and that will be the most critical period.

Sorry to be so clinical....... I just like to know what I am up against, lol... can't stand fighting with a blindfold on, lol

It sounds as if you have got your head round the whole thing , I like your " can't stand fighting with a blindfold on " philosophy .....it sounds spot on .

You do very well indeed to take in all the clinical " jargon " ...... I tend to hear what they are saying and it sounds like " blah...blah...blah... " .....lol

At least you seem to have a weeks " grace " in which to gird your loins , ready for the battle to commence .
