Mummo, yes I remember it well, never been in there, in my day non R Catholics never went into a catholic church but our neighbours I believe went there occasionally. My sister got married to her second husband at the Methodist church just down the road. (We actually went to the Baptist church on the Gosport Road.

Thinking of you, a sad time organising funerals. ((((hugs))))

Ann, l used to go to sometimes go to the youth club that was attached to the Baptist Church in Gosport Road .
Mum had organised and payed for her funeral years ago so we wouldn't have any hassel.........thats a laugh, mum wanted her body to go to Fareham and they are bringing it to Portsmouth, ok easier for us but not what mum asked for, and need to speak to the Vicar as none of my family are Catholics only mum was and need to sort out a few things.

Good morning all....

Mummo, my thoughts are with you as you get the arrangements all sorted, such a sad task (((((((hugs)))))))

*blushes* well.... he is STILL the baby, lololol!!

Maz, I do hope Tramp's paw is healed soon.... poor thing.

Ann, what are you up to today? It is quite pleasant here now, although there are some heavy clouds scudding across.

I have forms to fill in for my DLA review, and also a big T***o order... the monthly catfood delivery, lolol, and then I want to make a card to go with the hanging basket.... busy busy! But all sitty down stuff, so not too energetic, apart from putting the washing away upstairs.

Off we go!

~~~~~~~~~ to BC and Mau, and Ginnie if they look in.... also to those I now know pop in regularly but who don't post.... ~~~~~~~~
I am trying to get at least one page done of the scrap book I am doing for T for the G Wedding, sooo difficult when he is underfoot most of the time! However he is playing away (sorry to disappoint.... golf) today at Minchinhampton so wont be home until 2 so may well get one page done if I don't keep getting side tracked on here Lol!! So weak willed me. Also got the monthly bank accounts to check (ugh!) but will do those later. Have been for my walk to collect the papers as I was up earlier than usual, so, back to the scrap book. and a cup of coffee.
Hello to everyone, well I am back in the 21st century I have my new washing machine, all sorted and installed.ready to go. Went to a local shop and they delivered and fitted and would have taken the old one away for no extra charge. I went tothe shop at 9.15 this morning and it was in my kitchen by 11.45 all done and dusted. Hopefully thats the last of hand washing for me.I don't have the strength in my hands that I used to have. (getting older lol)
Mummo I hope all goes well with the arrangments you need to make,it is never easy, still thinking of you and your family.
Maz sorry about the kitty with the poorly paw ,hope it heals quickly.
Hope your doing ok with your scrap book Ann, I haven't done any for ages.
Daff, hope you are making a big card for all the names that go with the hanging basket lol . I feel it went better than expected.
Thank you for the very kind comments about my cards.
That is really good service, Ginnie.... you won't know yourself...
Maz, I hope Tramp feels better soon, bless him..... and yep, we could buy a palace with the amount we have paid in vet bills over the years.
Ann, did you get it finished?? You'll just have to suggest he goes for the day somewhere you don't fancy, lolol....
Edit.... forgot to add this... I am quite cross!!
I have just had a row with the Tesco man... I noticed that quite a few of their so called special offers were actually more expensive than the *price per unit* said... they said it was an error, and that it would be sorted soon... I said the offer *hah!* runs out tomorrow, and it is a difference of £3.60 for the amount I wanted.... so as it is gold blend coffee... and the offer has been going on since 18th July.... how many people have been paying more than they expected to pay???
I was really polite, even when he suggested that it was just a glitch... no it darned well wasn't it was a scam... it stated special offer, and then it worked out more expensive than before. People were being conned and lulled into it... it is sharp practice and quite deliberate. I did try to explain that many people, like me, are not good with numbers unless sat down with no distractions... so they go straight to the price per unit to make comparisons.
I was determindely (sp) polite. But I had problems with my last two deliveries (they have always been excellent in the past) so might change to Sainsbury.... It's a shame Morrisons don't deliver. We have one a couple of miles away... but this is for tiger food and other heavy stuff, like you, Jean. And it just eats into our weekends together if I have to go and do a big shop... I resent the time spent on it at weekends.
Whinge over, lol!!
Oh.... ~~~~~BC... you ok????? Has your Bulgarian knackered you???
Managed to get 4 pages done so up to the end of the 60s. quite a way to go yet though!!!! Been sorting Jeremy's photos this afternoon for his 21st scrap book which I have to do by december. Not so bad as I don't jhave to hide it.
We don't get our washing machine until Thursday so i am hand washing. Luckily the washing was all up to date when it went wrong. Our fault we couldn't have it before as we are not here much this week and OH has to take out the old one before they get here.
wmsl @ Maz... I have a mental image of this cat on tippy toes, sneaking around in the background, peeking from behind furniture and curtains, lolol... you know, like in the cartoons!! ;¬)) I do hope they are both soon fully recovered... Gizmo from his ill treatment at the vets, lolol and poor Tramp with his poorly paw.
BC... And I have visions of you being right there behind Gizmo, lolol!! BC, it wasn't that difficult, really, but I had to develop a *system* and stick rigidly to it lol, or I would have been putting things down in strange places and forgetting about them... staying focused was actually the hardest bit, lol... but it has been very well worth it. I have a link to the star flower, by the way, if you want to see it.... this is why I was determined to make our basket so wonderful!!
Mummo.... more (((((hugs)))))) for you today as well. It will be good for you to see you daughter and grandson, that will help no end. xxxxx
Ann, so pleased you got so many pages done.... that was really productive... did you have them all planned out before you started?
~~~~~~ to Mau, to Ginnie, and everyone looking in ~~~~~~~~~~ xxx

Daff??? Planned??? nope, photos just sort of fell on the page. Not making it too elaborate, more photo album than scrap book really, but like it so far.

((((((((hugs)))))))) lots of them for Mummo. So pleased that your daughter arrives today.

BC can you stay awake now then?

Maz, should have called Gizmo Felix!!!! or, although unless he is ginger he's the wrong colour, Garfield!

Mazfromnorf

Mazfromnorf Report 3 Aug 2010 10:28

Lol Gizmo is the right name for my puddy have you ever seen the fluffy creature that turns into a gremlin in the childrens film a few years ago .? he has those markings Black ears and a few black patches but mainly white .
I am cringing because we changed neighbours and the previous one were real softies with my puddies so I am hoping they dont pester them too much .Margaret always fed them bits and they both wandered in to see her .
Gizmo did not have to go to the vets though he loves it cos his foster mummy is there who I got him from he was the first of the litter to go can't think think why lol .He was got by me when i got home by the flea stuff .
Tramp is getting there ,his fungal cream may make him sick a little if he licks it off too much it will take a few weeks to clear so it will require patience
Mummo enjoy your family if you can ,mixed emotions I am sure

Huia Report 3 Aug 2010 10:33

Cats! Strange creatures. When we adopted Chloe about 3 yrs ago when she was 13 I was told she would eat only one particular brand of cat biscuit so I was religiously feeding them to her but one day the shop didnt have any so I took a chance on another sort (cheaper, too) and she ate it. Recently though she has decided somebody might be trying to poison me so she insists on sampling what I am planning to cook for my dinner. First night it was fish. Yummy! Next night mince - more yummy, chicken, and so it goes. I give her only a small piece each night but now when she has finished it she sits there looking expectantly at me, doing an Olive Twist act. Makes me feel really guilty for eating most of the stuff. I am going to buy some specially for her next time I am in town. I bet she turns her nose up at it.

Huia Report 3 Aug 2010 21:53

Not sad, Ann, just a matter of saying 'well, where is the rest of it, that barely touched the sides on the way down.' I hope she is still eating the biscuits as I bought another bag of them last week.
