I have been up early.... one load of washing completed and on the line, second load in, and the towels from yesterday (forgot to bring them in, stiff as a board, lol) are now in the tumble dryer for ten minutes to soften up.

I need to pop out and do some shopping, not a lot, but it has to be done as a matter of urgancy... no cat food!! Oh drama!! Well, we do have cat food, but it is tinned... they have all looked at me as though I was putting down rat poison... even Jessie, who just a couple of months ago was eating whatever was put down for her...... I am such a cruel and wicked maidservant. ;¬))

I have a list a mile long today... I have neglected indoors because it has been so good outside, and now it has all caught up with me... there is masses to do. Littlie will be here on Saturday for her week's visit, so I won't have the energy for anything other than entertaining her lolol..... hopefully the weather will stay good.

Also, our older little Princess will be 5 bank holiday weekend, and I am hoping we are going to be able to go and visit her with her presents. We have bought her the cutest beachbag, and filled it with all sorts of accessories... the type all real beach babes should have, like snazzy sunglasses, a bikini and a swimsuit... matching hats and tops... suntan lotion.... beach crocs.... oh, and hair adornments..... I hope she likes it, she is beginning to turn into a real girly girl, so I think she might! I have been popping these bits into her drawer for weeks now, every time I go out I get her something... well, both of them, just that Littlie gets them when she comes to stay, and Princess gets hers in a mass when we see her, which is much less frequently :¬((

Oh well.... best I go and fold the towels.... machine has stopped.

*speak* later.... and I do hope you are al having as wonderful a day as we are here... it is already 8 degrees.... what is that in real money? But there is a big smiley sun and not a single cloud on my icon thingy..... it is due to be updated soon, too...

Love

Hello Daff and everyone looking in.
Lovely day here again and warmer than yesterday as well, have done the h/work and am awaiting a visit from my sister . My 2 gr/ch planted some sunflower seeds and they have started to shoot so they will be pleased next time they are here (weekend) and OH is happy that the potatoes are growing.

Good morning, Maz, you will put us all to shame and have the cleanest home on here!!

BC I did wonder where you were yesterday, but had not started to panic yet Lol!!!!! You can always use the off switch you know! If you are strong enough that is!

Daff, that seems to have come round quickly, it only seems like yesterday that littly was going home!

MrDaff Report 23 Apr 2010 14:11

Just popped my nose in quickly.... yes, it is earlier than it should be... next weekend, but it would seem that other grandparents will be altering their monthly visit (they have visited Scarborough one weekend a month for about 20 years, they stay in the same B & B) to take advantage of the Bank Holiday weekend, so Littlie has to be back for that.

Mummy is scrabbling around a little bit, beginning to worry about (free) childcare for the summer holiday... Littlie starts school in September, so the nursery fees for the holidays will not be funded....... and other grandparents don't look after for more than an hour or so... plus they live an hour away as well. Also mummy would like to go away for a break with her new love interest.

R and I have discussed it at length... they know nothing about it yet, I will produce the idea out of the hat at the last minute, lolol. We will suggest that she comes here for most of the summer... and mummy can come and stay here in a reverse of what son currently does, and take madam back just for a week or so.

That will be good!!

~~~~~~~~~~~ to everyone, have a brilliant day... it is beautiful here!!
Right.... back to bed for an hour, lol I have been awake since 2 am!!
Good idea re littly over the summer hols Daff, as long as Daddy pulls his weight and it doesn't leave you tired and frazzled.
MrDaff Report 23 Apr 2010 14:45
Still haven't got to bed, lolol.... mum just phoned.
I love being part of a large family, most of the time......
Ann, it probably won't matter too much. R will take some time off... and she is now so used to us, that she (mostly) behaves really well... if I am tired, she fusses over me. It isn't quite the same as last year, when I was rougher, and also she was still toddler-ish.
They find out tomorrow or Monday which school she has been accepted for... once we know, I'll start getting little bits and pieces of uniform together for her, as well. It doesn't seem two minutes since I got the phonecall saying she'd arrived!
B will be looking to move to Hull around that time, as well, so it would be quite good for her to be involved in all that, so it might not be for the full holiday....
Off we go, lets try again... bed is calling me, lol
MrDaff Report 24 Apr 2010 10:18
Morning all..... I went to bed early yesterday... up at 8, and brother phoned at 8.30, lolol!! So still no further forward.
We are all going out for a meal tomorrow.... and it is dad and brother who are arranging it all. Anyone would think they were organising the evacuation of Dunkirk, lolol!! Dad has phoned twice since I started this post...... bless him!
~~~~~~~~ to everyone...I still have lots of things I want to get sorted before Littlie arrives later today. Everything takes twice as long these days. R will be up soon, though, and will help on the heavy stuff...like vacuuming the stairs! I am always exhausted after doing that alone.

However, Littlie loves to do it.... so maybe she could help tomorrow morning!! She has told me that she wants to plant flowers, so that is the first thing, then...... I have the sunflower seeds and the pots all ready... she'll be pleased, cos all the beans and peas she did with daddy have come through now, and doing well.

I have just seen that 3 of my courgettes have germinated, now, as well... how exciting!!

I have been trying to type this since 9am...... brother has phoned again x 2.... I have just turned all the sound down, so I won't hear it if it goes off again, lolol

Only for as long as it takes me to finish this...

I had better go and get started..... lots to do, first thing is to get R out of bed!!

Have a lovely day everyone... it is beautiful here.

As I have said before Daff, there is something to not belonging to a large family who live close. did he not think you may be in bed at that time??

Where are you going for the meal? The amount of phoning brother is doing he might well be cooking it himself Lol!!!!

Don't go doing too much and wearing yourself out before littly gets here!

We were up early this morning and have already been round for the papers, to 'Hurrans' to look at plants, didn't buy any and then to 'Twigs' (Norton) for coffee and to buy a bamboo and three large tomato plants. T decided his were not growing quickly enough to be left when we go away so bought some moneymakers that are well along. They will be planted outside before we go and left to the mercy of the elements hoping there wont be a too hard frost!!!

Morning all. *stern glare at Daff. I can see Ann and I will have to keep an eye on your or even two. You push yourself too far, my dear, let them all sort themselves out. Right, that't that then...lol....

Beautiful day here, the park looks glorious, have done food shop and sent off some letters in post office. Am going to a singalongthingy community fun thing with some friends, it should be a laugh. In between I hope to pick up some plants at the market.

Hope you all have a lovely day. BC XXX

Lolol....

Ann, brother is all excited as well.... tomorrow he and my SiL are having their panel interview for fostering, which will be the last but one step...... they are unable to have children of their own... so this meal is going to be either a celebration or commisseration. This panel will decide whether they are suitable to go to the final board, next week. And he is also revising all the childcare laws, and has been finishing the final touches to the two bedrooms... he is so excited, as is SiL.... but she starts speaking in Chinese when she gets excited, lolol so it is him I speak to.

The meal is all sorted now, and at a time that means we can take Littlie as well... SiL hasn't met her yet, although she has seen photos. She met our older Littlie a couple of years ago, at Christmas.

They live just outside Luton, so it will be a bit of a drive down, and of course my dad is trying to hijack all the arrangements... he is a bit of a control freak, is my dad, lolol So that is where I get it from!!

I promise not to do too much.... I always pay for it, though, and end up having to rest, so it's swings and roundabouts. I am learning not to notice the muck, though.....

Oh exciting for them. Goodness when we fostered we applied, saw one Social worker and were accepted and within a month had a 5 pound prem baby two weeks old and I was only 26. How things have had to change. They are travelling down I assume? Will they stay with your parents?

MrDaff

MrDaff Report 24 Apr 2010 12:35

No, they are staying in a hotel for a couple of days... SiL has taken some time off... a rare occurrence for her, but she will be reducing her hours soon, anyway. And they haven't done the touristy Cardiff bit before, so that is what they will be doing Monday and Tuesday. Whenever they are down here, they go visiting family, and it is a mad rush for them, to be honest.

Some of my family don't know about their plans to foster, either, so this will be THE announcement. I was very priviliged to be the first one they told, he told me on Christmas Day, lolol... my parents were told a couple of weeks ago, as were my other two brothers and sister H. The other girls haven't always been pleasant to SiL... they reckoned all she was after was a passport, until they realised that she has been in this country since she was 13, and she has dual Singapore/British nationality... don't ask me how, her family originally came from mainland China a couple of generations ago, so had no need to marry for that. She is a really lovely woman, and I love her to bits.

Unlike two of their partners, lololol

Oh well, I have killed yet another e-mail to you, Ann... I am going to try and get my google mail sorted out, just for photos, lolol

Love to you all
