Lovely day here.
Ed has another hospital appointment today at 2.00pm with a Critical Care consultant, not sure why but someone said its to do with his time in I.C.U.
Still will find out soon enough, lol.
Also heard today that Ed's rehab nurse is stuck in U.S.A. so not sure when she can get back but at least she is staying with family, so another week without her, but he is doing everything she taught him so l hope she will see some improvement since she's been gone ( 3 weeks now).
Well better get a move on, x

Lovely day here too, went for a 2-3 mile walk round the village this morning all the gardens look pretty, well the looked after ones do. Enjoyed the walk but was shattered when I got back, guess the shingles is not out of my body yet. OH is jet washing the patio so I am staying up here, he gets water everywhere and then the windows will all need cleaning!!!

I have almost stopped coughing now and am feeling a lot better it has been years since I have had a cough and cold as bad as this was.

Garden is looking good but it's not down to me OH has been out digging and planting like a goodun.

Sorry to hear about you having shingles Ann hope you feel much better soon.

I will keep my fingers crossed that you get to go on your hols, BC as well.

Daff I hope you had a good meeting with Ann of GG and your Mom has a happy birthday

Well, Daff has obviously had a good day, so good she has not returned.
Hope your Mum enjoyed her birthday daff and that you and Anne had a good natter.
Ginnie, glad your cold is on the mend, nasty things coughs.

Evening all.... just in, Ann, about 10 minutes ago.... I have had a brilliant day... Ann and I had a couple of drinks, a wander around the shops, then popped into the caff - had some memories did that caff...... started flirting wth R in that Caff, and got engaged less than 3 months later, lolol ;¬ We spent a good few hours together... which was lovely!!

Then went to see my mum... who had forgotten it was her birthday, and dad had needed some teeth out and a huge cyst removed this morning so was full of the drama of it all... two of my sisters escorted him there (one works as a theatre nurse in the dental place so was there anyway... the other was a dental nurse years ago)...... then siblings started to arrive, so more detail added... then I went to H's house (sister next to me)..... I have lots of siblings, lol) and had a drink and italian chicken... then home here.... so a wonderful day!!

And I have somehow ended up with a bag full of *talking books*.... not sure how, but it is in the bag I put the gifts for mum into... I did say to Ann, I bet I'll have it given back soon.... mum handed it to me and said.... *I just found this bag, don't know where I got it, but I have put these talking books in there for you*

I have no idea who actually wanted the talking books....... but it is clear that someone did, lolol

I am now exhaustimicated and ready for bed, lol....

Today, I have to get properly dressed again... I am not in the garden until later on. I have a parcel to post, and some stuff to collect from the GP... plus the rest of my last prescription, as they didn't have the full amount in. Only remembered it now I am on the last couple of pills in the pack and couldn't find the new ones, lolol

It is another bright and beautiful day.... so more time will be spent outside later on.

Ginny I do hope you are feeling much better soon... and Mau, shaking off the last of the labyrinthitis.

Just managed to get on, met up with friends at Blooms garden centre for coffee, then had to do the T**** shop, by the time we had unpacked it was 2pm, a bit late for lunch, now T is doing something to the bath surround with sticky stuff so plans of cleaning the bathroom are shot! So I am on here, sunny outside but a nip in the air. Must be that d***** volcano, it is being blamed for everything else!!

Daff what a eye opener we had when Ed went to the clinic...........we were told all about why certain things that he has been experiencing are due to his time in I.C.U., and as Ed can't remember his time in there they are going to send him a day to day diary of what they did for him and everything that happen while he was in I.C.U and they will arrange a visit for him to go and see the ward and show him everything. (l think this will help him as he has been having awful dreams and flashbacks)

I used to get talking books from the library Daff for my MIL I borrowed them a few times, they are great to listen to when ironing I 'read' lots of books that way!

Gave the bedroom a good old blitz this morning (well with a good help from OH) I was in the mood to chase the dust away, but must say when I'd finished I was 'cream crackered'!! oh to have the energy of when I did all the bedrooms in one day...I can just remember lol

What a good idea Mummo to send Eddie a day to day diary,It should help him a lot I'd think. He's done so well and I hope he continues to improve.xx

Good morning Daff and all) I keep forgetting to set my alarm so I wake up at all different hours. First of all, as I have been thinking of you, I want to give a big hug to Mummo and Ed whose lives turned upside down one day and hoping this diary idea will help him. Also delighted Mau is almost back to normal:))

Another beautiful day here (how lovely to be able to say tha!) so have plans to go to B & Q (it's old dears cheap day there) to get some plants, and that hose thingy wotsit and look at kitchen sinks. Then have lunch with a friend.

Off now to take doggie to park. Have a lovely day everyone....mwahhhhh!

OH off playing golf somewhere the other end of the Cotswolds, I have a hair appointment (get rid of grey day!), and for some reason my computer is slow so I guess something somewhere is updating itself!

BC, 'set alarm?' Since retiring that is the best thing I don't have to do, I love getting up at all different times.

Mummo, I hope that the diary etc will help Eddie get closure on whatever is preying on his mind and aid his recovery.

Evening all.... I have been out all day at Cribbs Causeway... sister phoned first thing, at silly o'clock, and gave me just 35 minutes to get ready...... and I am just back in. We had brekkie and lunch out... fabulous day, even though all I bought was a new toothbrush.

Mummo, I hope the diary helps Eddie... although he can't remember it, there will be lots of things that he was aware of at the time, which he has blanked out. I think the diary is a brilliant idea...... and ((((((hugs)))))) for you both from me, too.

BC... did you get your tap, hose and kitchen sink??? It has been a beautiful day, here too... oh and in Bristol!

Mau... I have to get hubby to transfer the tapes for me... I don't have a tape thingy anymore, but have my Phillips thingy similar to the iPods.... so it will go onto that. It is for the middle of the night when I can't sleep, don't want to turn the lights on to disturb R, and to give me something to while away the time.

Although I slept last night, 6.00 to 9.30, 10.30 to 2.30, 5 to 8.30 so have made up for it!

Must go and look at food for the boys....... I'll have a sandwich later if I feel peckish.
