Good afternoon all, don't know if the sun has come out for you Daff but it hasn't here and it is really cold again. Shall get back to craft work this afternoon I expect but have been rooting around in my tree and a couple of others today. Believe it or not I had two good connections from people with only one match. It really is worth checking all of them, and I nearly clicked one off by going too fast too.

Call then trackies and it sounds OK Daff!!! Glad Jethros paw is better and tell B, no windows no dinner!!!! T cleaned my car yesterday but, same as you, he drives it!!! It is still mine when it comes to praise for cleaning it!

Morning everyone!!

Trala trala!!

A beautiful spring day, my first full daffodil bloom was waiting to greet me as I walked in here... bobbing it's beautiful head furiously at me to attract my attention, lol....I have told her how stunning she is, and would she kindly ask all her relatives to cometo stay.... shejust nods reassuringly at me, so I think they will all be here in another day or so, lol

Today is a busy day.... well, busy-ish... GP first, to collect my sicknote and to have a girly thingy done... yuk... why on earth they didn't do it when they were messing around with biopsies last year, I don't know... butit would seem that I wasn'tdue one until September, and as the biopsy was in August, it didn't *flag up*.

SoI have to have it done... and because I thought it had been done , I ignored the letters calling me forward!

*sighs*

Well....at least I have the satisfaction of knowing that barely an inch of me hasn't been investigated to the nth degree... did I tell you that they are referring me back to ENT because of my constantly bleeding nose and my lack of sense of smell... well, I have a tiny bit, but it is unpleasant.

~~~~~~~to Maz I have tidy patches, lol..... most needs a good overhaul and haircut, but shall do it next week.... and Easter week R will be home, so we will really crack on then, as we have always spent Easter in the garden.... traditional, it is, in our family!!
Lol Ann..... well, I was nice and comfy, although restless, all day yesterday.... The thing is, track suits etc either don't come in my size, or they are 10 miles too long... I hate anything flapping around my ankles when I am in the house doing anything... and I am a barefoot girl as well.... so I usually wear cropped trousers around the house. But I have none to fit right now *glances longingly at last summer's cropped trousers which are now too small* and these jim jams are cropped... well, actually, most of mine are cropped, and as the tops never fit, I always team them with an ordinary t shirt anyway, so I suppose they look like a summery outfit, anyway.
R never even noticed, bless him!
Right... must go and prepare for this appointment, yuk!!
See you all later.... I am going to treat myself to a trip to the garden centre as a reward for being a brave girl... better than a smiley face, any day, lolol!!
Love
good afternoon all. The sun seems to be burning through the cloud at last, it has been really cold here today so far. We walked down to a roadshow on re-cycling to ask a couple of questions re the new procedures starting in April. And it seems they will now take shredding in our blue recycling wheelie bins so that is a plus. And we have biodegradable bags to use in the food caddies. Also got a free book on using up left overs so will have to read that, and another book on recycling tips, I am impressed that they appear to be trying hard to make it work.
Then we walked back here and drove round to the garden centre (Norton - twigs- Daff), had a coffee then bought ten plugs 7 of which are fuchsias so they have to be potted on this afternoon. Also bought a pot with compost and coriander seed and four small basil plugs. Daff, T says most seeds need to wait until April as the ground/soil is still very cold. Also bought some compost for seeds and re-potting so that is us sorted.
Better go and have lunch before getting my Alan Titchmarsh hat on.
Hellllooooo!!
Wavesto Ann and T... I am only planting the ones that go on the windowsills in here, at the moment... oh, and the coldframe is now ready, B has sorted that out while I have been swanning around the garden center. We can't find thetunnel I bought, with the fleece cover... R has put it away somewhere sensible, lol
I bought seeds that can be planted now, indoors or in coldframes... plus some John Innes seed compost... and some early potatoes, which I have put on the hall window sill... turned off the radiator so it doesn't get too warm.... and they will be ready to plant out next week... now, I have also bought some sack planter thingies, £14.99 for three... they are for potatoes, and should last a few years... plus they are moveable!! so I shall give them a try with the early potatoes.
B is digging over the veggie patch as I type.... he is all fired up with enthusiasm, at last!
Right... off to supervise, I am good at that, lolol
Glad we could make you feel better Mamiddau. Well.... You couldn't wait to get back to work. It is bright but very chilly here, just pruned a Rosemary bush and my hands were very cold.
Lol! Ann you are very right there! I really need to get out into our garden, but we have been so busy, moving H into her own room, and various hospital appointments, and work, I just don't know where the time has gone. I need to start sorting my veggie garden, first lot of spuds are going in this weekend, but we use big bins for them.
My baby started school on monday. He looked so grown up in his "nooniform", and was soooo tired last night! bless him. can't believe he is old enough!
Good afternoon all...hope you are all sowing and sewing and
planting spuds and nice things like that. I found a poor dead geranium cast out from its home this morning, but as the pot was lovely, I heaved it home! Thank you unknown person. It is still a bit too chilly for me to investigate the patio, so I shall wait a while.
My boozin pal is coming for dinner tomorrow...better go down to the wine cellar...lol....
Good morning all....
aw Mamiddau, bless him!! My little granddaughter started school last September... she was just 4 years and 3 months old, bless her, and younger Littlie starts this September.... she'll be even younger... but she is tall and looks older, sowhatwith that and her looking all grown up in her uniform..... I am fretting in case the teacher treats her like the big girls and not the baby she is!
Older Littlie cried for weeks, until her Godmother banished mummy and daddy from the school gates for a while, lolol Worked a treat, lol... she got to go into school with her *brother and sister*.... they are my son's Godchildren, and have all been brought up closely.... and was one happy little bunny from then on. They are little tykes, aren't they... love 'em!
Maz, good luck with the applications.... do you have a preference? I worked in supported housing for a while..... very rewarding. The family contact centre looks interesting, too.....
BC.....have a wonderful time with your boozin pal..... put the world to rights, and nurse your hangover tomorrow, lolol
~~~~~~~ to Mummo

Ann, B has dug over the veggie plot... then dragged the soaking wet bags of compost (hidden under piles of leaves, so been there since last year) into the conservatory.... to WARM UP the soil, lololol I threw a mega wobbly, cos they were leaking all over the floor... so they are now on old towels, on plastic bags..... warming up, lolol I can't believe that I have bags of compost warming up in the house!But the veg patch is now ready for the next frost to break it all up a bit more... it is looking fairly good, though, considering it was heavy clay this time last year... I dug it over a couple of times last year, as did Hunky Landscaper, and have added loads of stuff to it..... but I think it needs some sand for that extra bit of oomph..... oh, and I have a lovely bin full of beautiful home made compost all ready to go into it.. lovely stuff!

Right....off to have a shower before I turn on the washing machine and dishwasher, lol... see you all later

Good afternoon, Lol! Daff, Are you sure it wouldn't be warmer for it in the lounge???

I have been to town today, unfortunately the bus going in was a single decker so all humanity was squashed together and I could have wished that the young lady next to me paid more attention to personal hygiene, no good having lovely clean hair if you need a bath, or your clothes need a wash!! Had a good wander round and bought sun tan cream, new make up foundation, (because I read that bacteria multiplies on makeup kept for over 2 years so had a big throw out the other week) and two new toothbrushes (all exciting stuff), took some books and cards into the CRUK shop, bought a book and the papers, had coffee and brunch of beans, tomatoes, mushrooms and egg on toast then came home.

MrDaff

MrDaff Report 12 Mar 2010 20:35

lol.... yeh, I'll shove it on the sofa, and let it watch telly with us tonight, wmsl!!

You've had a busy day, Ann!! When I was ill, I was told that any make-up not used after 6 months should be thrown away, as the perfumes etc degenerate, plus the bacteria multiplies... that would mean I never ever have any make up, as I hardly wear it... can you imagine buying a new mascara every time you needed to wear it, lol

I had a much slower one... I have made 4 cards... and I didn't like any of them... they are for my mum, and I just can't get them right.... *groans loudly*

Need to go online now and check my bank balance.... am sending son over to grab some grub!! lol

Love

Daff xxxx

I have decided that little things do not suit me at all... I bought a pack of cards and envelopes... but they are so small after the 12 x 12 pages.... and I can't quite get the colour of the A4 card right.

R has just come home with a plant in a pot... must be true love, as it is the plant he hates more than anything, but I love, a hydrangea!! lol Bless his cotton socks, lolol.

AnninGlos Report 12 Mar 2010 21:07

Lol daff, a lot of the cards I make are A6 size. You have to learn to scale down your ideas and not put so much on them.
