Malc /GG and Jackie Report 19 Jun 2006 20:45

The last time was after we seperated and by chance her dad had come to see me. He dragged her back to her house.

I'm glad she was seen by her Dad Malc.... I was lucky too as I left and he came and found me but his biggest mistake was to attack in front of witnesses.... I proscecuted, he denied but when we went to court he changed his plea!! I can still remember his face when he saw me having a cigarette outside the court flanked by 2 police men and my bro!! It was worth the wait and he would never come near me again as his card has been marked!! gawd just realised that its 10 years ago this month that i walked and never went back!! xx

I was beaten up by my ex because I refused to abort Georgeous. The police took me to hospital for a scan and I spent 2 nights sleeping in my car when a friend took me in. The midwife told me that one third of domestic violence against women begins during pregnancy.

If my oh just raises his voice slightly, I can't cope - all because of the verbal abuse I endured for the last 6 years of my first marriage. The second time I left my first husband was because he hit me for the very first time in 17 years - I never went back. Looking back now I should have left him when the verbal first started as to me it is just as bad as physical violence. Debby

I know how you feel Debbie my ex girlfriend once raised her voice and her arm moved and I backed right off . Thats how she found out. I have no problem talking about it now though

Awful Malc just awful! If I'm late home from work or I've been at the shops a long while, I panic but then relax when I realise I'm with my new partner - this is six years on - not sure I'll ever get over it! Debby

I have a dear friend who has been through all this - her ex used to say he 'couldnt help it'. But he never hit his Mum, he never hit another BLOKE - so he could help it, couldnt he? (This man has now been in Court 4 times in 10 years for grievous bodily harm against a woman and each time he has been found not guilty. It can only be a matter of time before he murders a woman, he has just been 'lucky' so far) OC

But the best bit is that when you have been as low as you can go you find out what a fantastically strong person you are and they were never worthy of you in the first place............. :-)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Mandy Report 19 Jun 2006 21:57

No it's not easy and takes hard work and time but the feeling you have when you suddenly realise, that you are not what you have been brainwashed into thinking you are, is better than ............ anything else ....................... yes even that!!!!!!!!!! :-))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
