yes we moved in here to find they had taken light bulbs too.
I am sure that somebody should ask questions about the fact that all the furniture was taken. Is it in writing anywhere that they were leaving the furniture. If it is it should be placed in the hands of the solicitor. You are talking about this costing Sandra quite a lot of money.

Oohhh Mel, where's a pussycat when you need one! I wonder how long he's been inside?
That was good you got an answer from Michelle Gill. I thought the same as Mel about things being left in Sandra's flat? We had to write down what we were taking for the estate agent or solicitor when we moved here. It might be worth asking the solicitor if there is any record of how the flat would be left ie empty or furnished.
Well that was a good find with the tripod AnnG. It was obviously a place you hadn't looked before. I used to keep mine in a wardrobe in the inner hallway till we got rid of the wardrobe. Now my camera stuff is here, there and everywhere. A home for your hangers too, so that is good and you have cleared out more things and got them a good home with that lady. Is she storing everything herself at the moment? OH's meeting/training session finally got going but it is all day and they are way behind now. They keep using Teams instead of Zoom and everyone seems to have trouble with it.

Ann I think that some of the stuff will go to the people she collects for but some will be stored at her house, probably in a shed.
I will keep the tripos although I only used it when I had a full size DSLR camera and a Minolta film camera.

Anng I hope that can help Sandra but I think it was only verbal. It depends on whether they filled out one of those forms. It could mean that Sandra may want to opt out of this flat altogether. I hope something can be done about it as it will make it expensive for Sandra to furnish it even down to kitchen utensils etc.

You're right Mel, it was only verbal so there nothing she can do. There is a form to be filled in nearer moving day which everyone who is selling has to fill in to say what they are taking and what's to be left behind and now there's a section for anything they may want to sell, with a price beside it so the buyer has a choice on whether to buy it or not. Sandra's not had that paperwork yet but from what I was told the place is empty apart from a gas cooker which is unsafe and needs to be taken out.
It looks like Sandra might have to go to Charity shops for now to get her started and I'm sure the family will help with things as will OH and I, the rest she can get a bit at a time. I remember having to do that myself, in my first place.
OH has gone back to digging the pampas roots out while the sun is around. He said he can do the rest of the garage on a rainy day.

Evening all,
What a lovely sunny day we have had but t hasn't been that warm even with the sun .
Mel ,The four in a bed programme today was from The Bickford Arms in Holsworthy :-D don't know if you saw it . Oh no not a mouse n the house you'll need to get your trap out or send for Jane's Thomas !!!
Oh Gill that will be an expense Sandra could have done with out ,i was thinking Charity shops for bits and pieces but they are not open are they . I bet the woman was going to leave all the stuff and then had an offer for it so she got rid of it . If you had known you could have kept one of the cupboards you had to get rid of before you moved ,i wondered if you had still got Sandra' s bed . Isn't there a site called Preloved for free things and there's also Gum Tree where things are sold . Would her social worker help ? You could always ask on FB people are always willing to help .
AnnG that was a good find finding the tripod ,hope you've been checking the pockets on T's things ,you never know what 's left in pockets .
Ann i hope OH has caught up with his meeting ,i've heard of Zoom but not Teams

Oh poor Sandra. What a shame the Fixtures and Fittings form wasn’t filled in earlier. I think the solicitors usually sort that out quite early on. Freecycle are good if there is a group in the area where Sandra will be living, though she would have to collect so she might need a man with a van. It’s good that Michelle replied to your text Gill.
What a pain that OH had so much trouble with his online meeting Ann. Technology is great when it works, a nightmare when it doesn’t. Like you I’ve been on the hunt for hairgrips today. My hair is driving me barmy. I did laugh at your comment about the prisoner’s last request. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal yesterday but it did feel a bit like that.
It’s good that you found the tripod AnnG. It’s strange how stuff disappears and turns up ages later in an unexpected place. You are really getting through all the necessary sorting of T’s stuff. I hope it comforts you to know how much his belongings will be helping others and I am sure they will be appreciated.
Mel, was it Alpheton you used to live? Driving through it to the hospital yesterday morning I saw something and thought I must tell you. Now I have already completely forgotten what it was. My head is like a sieve these days and I used to have such a good memory.
I’ve had quite a good day today, apart from the food. The weather has been good. I did 3 loads of washing and for the first time in ages got nearly all of it dry outside. I also got the census form done online. They said it could be sent early provided we let ONS know if anything changes before 21st so I got it out of the way. I had a slice of toast for breakfast and could have had honey on it but I detest even the smell of honey. Not allowed jam or marmalade. Lunch was scrambled egg with a slice of what we always call plastic bread and now I am going to get really excited by plain white fish with a little mashed potato. No sauce, no veg :-(. I can have a little plain ice cream for desert. The other desert suggestions are boiled sweets or water! Since when has water been a desert? Then that’s it till I’m home on Wednesday, apart of course from drinking pints of their gunge. Ugh!

Mum had to drink loads of water gunge when I took her to the hospital before she had her hysto. She hated it.
Well I have either got TWO mice or it has migrated to the uti room as when I was ironing earlier it ran along the length of the chest freezer. That the room I keep all the wild bird food in so I then had to find a lid for the sunflower kernals. I am not sure if they come up in the boiler cupboard and run along where the pipes for the heating go which is alol over the bungalow.
Oh has ordered me a new mouse trap. One I can put them back out in the garden with. They may not go out in the garden though they may go in a bucket of water.
The next thing I must check is the three bags of stuffing I have in the lounge. I don't want them nesting in that!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Would'nt mind I only went in there to find a box to send the zips to Mandy.

Yes it was mixed feelings finding the tripod. Pleased to have found it but sad because Inso wanted to share the news with .T, he really wanted to use it for his photography in 2019.
I have checked his pockets but he was very good at clearing them out when he put things away. All I have found is the occasional golf tee. In the bottom of his wardrobe, on the floor besides numerous golf tees (again) I found 12p in two ps and one ps. And a squash ball. Goodness knows how long it is since he played squash.
Vera hope you enjoyed the plain fish. Will be thinking of you tomorrow. See how much energy you have on this diet, all that washing!

Some good suggestions for Sandra there Gill and as she is on FB, she could search for 'things for sale near me' sites if she's able to. You just join the groups (free) and then look at the things for sale which are all cheap or free. Now the charity shops are shut, I've noticed that the house clearance people are selling things on there so there should be plenty of choice. It does seem odd no form or list was completed. After all I imagine they were brought in to stop this sort of thing happening.
AnnG I have worn some of OH's T shirts that were too tight and his old anorak in the garden. It's good to get some use from T's clothes yourself and a nice cosy connection with him
I don't like the smell of honey either Vera. One of the eateries we used to go to for their carvery would roast their parsnips in honey and we both hated the smell of them. I'm afraid your meals are not tickling my tastebuds. Not long to go now .
My mum always told us not to get anything for Mother's Day. She (rightly) said the prices were a rip off. She didn't like flowers or plants and preferred to see them in the garden. Instead I would take her out to another town to look at the shops another day and which she did enjoy. I crocheted her a 12 inch round mat to go on her little bay window halfway up her stairs one year and she did like that and kept a vase of artificial flowers on it.
Some of OH's other meetings use Microsoft Teams it and it causes a lot of problems. The daft thing is, OH has a Zoom Licence and has suggested he set up and host the meetings like he does with others, but I suppose those that have paid for other licences have to use them. The hospital covid meeting I have coming up is on Teams too..............'good luck with that' was OH's comment!
Oh Mel, I had a picture in my head of Mandy's face if you sent her a mouse with the zips!! :-0 :-0 :-0. I read somewhere that if you let them loose and they came in other than through an open door they will just get back in like they did before. I hope it was just the one, but they say that there are usually more as they aren't solitary. There are usually a few when they get in our loft.
Thank you for the piccies Island! You are going to have lots of baby frogs by the look of it! Mum and dad always grew purple sprouting broc and yours looks very tasty and fresh. I love it. I had a chuckle at the pink sheep like Mel's dream too.

Hope you can manage to drink all the gunge tomorrow Vera and roll on Wednesday so it's soon over for you and you can have a normal meal again .
I got all my bedding dry today on the line there was a good blow I had to put plenty of pegs on though to keep it on the line .

Where's Frank? Hope he is ok and not been blown off his scooter. Its three days since we heard from him.
I bought a present for oh for Easter but gave it to him today as he kept saying it was too cold to go outside and do anymore painting. It was a fleece shirt with a furry lining and it comes right over his posterier and the collar comes right up his neck and he was delighted with it. I wonder how long it will last without any paint on it? He's a great one for wiping his fingers on his clothes when painting even if I give him a rag. Still I bought it to keep him warm while in the garden. It was only £15.59 and well worth the money and I may get him another.

Morning Anng and all,
Brightish morning here but not really sunny if you know what I mean. O just looked out the window and its raining. Oh is out trying to do some of my shed so he won't be very pleased. 12.2 deggrees out there today.
Big wipe down day for me today so I better get on and clean all the worksurfaces. Oh has got the boxes out ready for the driver and the sack barrow inthe hall. Two subs today and one unavailable. Sweet peas instread of Sweet William seed and Red Salmon instead of the boneless one which means I shall have to pick it all about to get the bones out and it takes ages.
I see he has'nt gone out in the new shirt to do the painting but his old fleece which is a favorite and already has paint on it.
Come on Frank let us know your ok please. even if its HI.

Good morning girls,
I am fine, just not bothered with the computer. No I haven't fallen off the scooter, as I haven't been on it yet. The weather hasn't been that good and not very warm. I will try it when I have Harvey or Lewis visiting. I am afraid to try it on my own for the first outing.
Ros is out with Carolyn this morning, so I will sit in the conservatory with my book for a read.
I hope you are all well. xxxx
