He did really well with his haircut and I just had to do the finishing touches of bits he could'nt reach. Its a very good little machine and easy to handle and quick too. Ann it would be great for doing G's hair.
Its a Remmington battery one you charge yourself.
Take a look on youtube.

Congratulations to James on his new job, it will feel strange starting his job working from home, but at least he can do it, there are lots of people who unfortunately can't. What is his job? Pleased to hear you have a bit more energy since the blood transfusion, it must make you feel a lot better in yourself. Yes, Jane, OH found it quite emotional as he and his workmates left work last night. I've put a thank you on his behalf on another thread and he would like to thank everyone on here to.
So no more leaks now Vera, that must be a relief, I hope Anglian Water can help with the water bill once you've sent them the two readings they asked for. The last thing you need is a big bill for water you couldn't use much of. Our little Tesco has the floor taped out so OH was telling me into zones so only one person at a time can walk there, he said they've put a barrier up in front of the checkout to so you have to lean over a bit to pay your bill. He said I wouldn't be able to reach......cheeky thing ;-) ;-) I wouldn't mind some of that man's essentials lol :-D OH couldn't get any bread yesterday and we're running out of bin liners, hopefully he'll be able to get some tomorrow after work if everyone hasn't taken it. That's the problem they have a delivery at 8am which is the same time he starts work and he doesn't want me to go to the shop at the end of the road, mind you after what he said I wouldn't be able to reach the checkout to pay anyway. We still have some bread in the freezer so should be okay until he's off on Monday if it comes to it.
I see you've been busy in your garden Ann, I've ran out of space to put the rubbish so have decided to leave mine for now, to be honest it doesn't look to bad thankfully. I haven't got any tin foil, I was thinking that myself but when I looked in the cupboard we have ran out. I don't really use it apart from Christmas and didn't realise there was none left. I've started watching the afternoon movies so that kills a few hours and I've got a few DVD's I could watch to.
I hope your OH manages to get hold of his meds. I now realise why I've been feeling down, I forgot to take my anti-depressants for the last two nights, so I must remember to take it tonight, then hopefully I'll start feeling a little better. I'm not used to taking tablets everyday and it was only when I started with a headache today that I realised I hadn't taken my tablet, apparently they are good for migraines. I hope it doesn't take to long to get back into my system again now.
It says the finished picture is 11cm square Mel, so not very big, there are 12 different ones and they only gave me enough to do the picture of the Bee which isn't the one I wanted to do for Sandra and there are only two pieces of Aida so I don't want to waste it on something she wouldn't like. Yes it was in a sealed box so you couldn't see what was inside, all the kits I have are the same. Don't worry about the silks, it was kind of you to offer, I'll leave that kit, along with the water colour one until the shops are open again.
I'm going to start altering the two nighties I've got tomorrow, so that should keep me busy for a few days as I'll do it by hand. They are to wide so it's just a point of taking them in a bit, so not a big job. How did your OH get on with his hair, did he do a good job?
Going to watch Gardeners World at 8.30, there's not much on TV now the soaps have changed.

He made quite a good job Gill and I tidyed the back and round the ears with it. Its a lot quicker than doing it with a comb and scissors I can tell you. Its like hoovering his head.
Did you see the thing on youtube I put up? The boy dos'nt do it right as you should go right over the head but his uncle was too tall for him to reach properly.
Sorry about the silks Gill.
Hav'nt you got an old picture frame in the loft you could use for the painting. You could do it on the glass side if there is card on the back.

Morning Mel and all
Sunny again here but quite breezy. I’ve just been watching a goldfinch hanging on to a feeder that is swinging about like mad. I don’t know how cold it is as I haven’t ventured out yet but it looks chilly.
Haven’t decided yet what I am going to do today. I had a long list of things to fill my time and a week in I haven’t done any of them.

Good morning all, a bit grey at the moment and very breezy. I am like you Vera a long list but I actually haven't had time to do anything on it. I do seem to be doing quite a bit of washing, probably because OH gets all 'sweaty' in the garden so I find bits to add to it. I will be back later as better go and have some breakfast. We do get up later and go to bed later.
DON'T FORGET CLOCKS GO FORWARD TONIGHT.

Yes Spring forward in Spring.
I don't like this one as it throws me all out of sinc. There is a bit of a wind ot there this mroning and its biting. Oh has gone out and put my chicken pellets in the bin as I use dthe last of the old sack yesterday and he's gone out in a t shirt, thick jumper, sleeveless fleece and a coat so he must be feeling the cold. He did'nt go in the tub this morning either.
Can't get used to him with this very short hair its like having a new man!! ;-)

Morning all
Cloudy and not so warm today, the sun is trying it's best to come through the clouds but I think the clouds are winning.
OH brought a tray home from work yesterday, he asked the kitchen staff if they had an old one he could have and they did, so when I've finished altering my nighties I can do the painting.
Don't worry about the silks Mel, looking at the Aida I think I would of had problems doing it as it's very small and even with my glasses I couldn't see it properly, good job I didn't tell Sandra about it or she'd of been disappointed.
That's a lot of staff your son has to organise home working for AnnG, what jobs are they?
I'm going to watch Gardeners World I recorded last night, I was going to watch it but OH came in and was so tired we had an early night. I remembered to take my tablet last night, it makes me sleepy so I had a good nights sleep. I woke this morning and there was a note off OH saying "I love you" it made me smile.
Hope you all manage to get through your lists, I'm up to date with all my housework and washing, so I can get on with my sewing today.

Back again. Gill our son is deputy management crisis leas for a large branch of LV insurance. Not sure which type of insurance though at the moment, definitely not car insurance or travel, might be life. I was thinking about your cross stitch and was going to suggest that you used the bee cross stitch to practice but, if the Aida is very small I wouldn't be able to do it and you don't want to hurt your eyes. For that people use a fixed magnifying glass with a light. Your post made me smile. All your OH needed was a job, he is obviously not so grumpy now and how thoughtful of him to find you a tray for your painting at work. Now you will have to repay his thoughtfulness and have a go, doesn't matter how bad just put a brush on the paper. I am as bad with the paining as I have not had a go as yet but I really have not had time. I did make a card yesterday using my stamping inks to create the background.
Mel, it is cloudy bright here but I have seen that next week there is going to be a very cold front coming across with maybe sleet and hail, colder too for the time of year. We have had snow at Easter before, back in the 70s.
This morning OH has cleaned out the inside of the two cars. I have got the meal in the slow cooker for tonight, breast of chicken curry, hope it is ok I was making it up as I went along. I have also washed the towels and a couple of other bits so some of that is in the drier. And then I emptied out one of the larger freezer drawers (I can only do this on colder days as it is in the conservatory. I have listed everything that is in there and found things I forgot we had. Found some naan bread to go with the curry and some aunt Bessie's roasties. I cut up some carrots and bagged them up for the freezer. Cynth could only get a large bag for me, no loose so as I don't want them to go over they can be used in stews from the freezer. Oh I found two bags of garden peas as well. I did find and subsequently binned three small bags of runner beans dayed 2016 that looked very poorly. I think I will now go and take out all the tins in the store cupboard and list them to make it easier to plan meals.

Just been up the shop for the paper and some bits and the que went right down the road. They have put a table across the doorway and are serving people from there. Its only a small shop and you would have to walk right past people to get in and out.
They told me to email my order through and it will be ready to pick up and pay for.

Gosh you've been busy today AnnG. I'm glad I'm not the only one with out of date stuff in the freezer. Thing with having chickens is if I boil things up they eat it. Any beans they would have been very greatful for.
I need to get down to the bottom cupbard and clear some tins out of there. I did one half that I use a lot and have a plastic box in that one so I can pull the box out and sort out what I want but oh used the box for the other side and I hav'nt got one that fits now. Don't know what he put in it or where it went probably up the loft.

Afternoon all you lovely people, I trust you are all well.
CONGRATULATIONS JAMES. I hope working from home to start with, works out well for you.
Jane, That was a long time having your treatment. No wonder you are tired.
That fall I had the other night, is now starting to bring out the bruises. My right calf mussel is quite swollen and painful to walk on. The bottom of my back is really very sore. Ros can't see any bruises, but I think the bruising is inside my back. So to say the least I am not a "HAPPY BUNNY". I am having trouble moving around, even though I know I must try to exercise it.
Conrad has managed to get a flight home. He landed at GATWICK, and hired a car. He got to Devon around 2.30 this morning. He fly's back on the 11th April.
Simon and Sally are both well They found a FARM SHOP with loads of fresh Veg, and meats. So they stocked up. They have decided not to stay away for a month, so are going to start back home tomorrow.
Have tried to ring my Nephew in Harlow, both last night and this morning. NO REPLY so I think they might have gone away. Will try his Sister later, and my Sister and SIL. It seems that if I don't ring them, they don't seem to bother. !!!!
Poor Valerie. Her Rotary line has snapped in half. fortunately we have one that we don't use, so Ros has taken it round to her. Rung the bel, and left it on the door step. NOT TAKING ANY CHANCES.
Stay safe everyone. I'm thinking of you all. xxxx

Afternoon All,
Looks sunny for now but this being a kitchen slave means I can't get out there yet! I might venture out after lunch just to tidy up some spreading alpines and rock plants. There's still a bit of pruning to do but I fancy a change! We have a full garden bin and a double row of sacks next to the shed now but I think there are a few more sacks yet and I will use humpers if necessary.
Gill that's good you remembered your tablet last night. Since I've been sleeping better I've got more energy. Good idea to do some sewing alterations. It's not surprising you've lost weight with all that's been happening, but you need to look after yourself now so make sure you are eating enough. That's brilliant your OH got you a tray from work! I was going to suggest a table mat next! lol. It sounds like he is settling in well in his new job so that is good!
I have a list of jobs to do as well, but I think we have all been a bit preoccupied with problems and making sure we have provisions up to now. Maybe next week we'll be able to get down to our lists! :-)
So you have a 'new' man Mel! :-D Those rechargeables look good. OH's is one you plug in but those would be useful on holiday as there aren't always handy sockets where you need them. I bet he needed a hat on this morning as well after losing his hair. He will save a fortune on shampoo now though!! ;-) ;-)
That's quite a task your son has AnnG and will take some organising!
No Frank yet? I keep wondering if Fitz's wife is ok. I hope Jane has managed to get in touch.
