Some exhibitions don't allow photography Mel. I suppose it's fair enough as they don't want people copying their ideas. I didn't know you could get coloured glues or glltter glues! A friend showed me some tiny keyring snowmen she'd made out of big white pearls the other day and she'd drawn lovely faces on them with Sharpie pens........something else I hadn't heard of! They don't rub off either which is good.

They do rub off Ann on some things. I use the Sharpie pens and have some with two different size nibs one each end. Bit expensive but they are good.

Morning all,

How are we all feeling this morning? Better I hope after a good nights sleep. I bet Anng slept better after the whirlwind had gone knowing it would be quieter this morning.

Had a funny dream about Ann and G being in hospital where I was visiting for my scripts. Ann had long hair and was giving me advice on the overgrown garden and G had on a white coat with all red and green paint all splashed on it.

Morning Mel, morning all

Hope all goes well for Jane today. Thinking of you and sending lots of hugs <3 <3 <3

It sounds like it was quite a weekend with the family around AnnG. Good idea to go to them next time.

Love the eggs Mel, you're really clever. Now you can make a start on your wreaths. How long will it take you to make 10?

Hope you're not to sore after you slipped Frank.

The piece of art sounds quite strange......different, but strange Ann. How are you feeling today? Good idea to take photo's of your paintings, that way you can show her more.

It sounds like you've been busy with your bulbs Vera. Are they all done now?

I thought I'd posted on here yesterday, but noticed I hadn't when I came on today.....silly me ;-)

Going to have another go at OH's family tree today, I've found some more people I forgot to copy over, so I'd like to finish them today if I have enough time. I recorded Sandra's favourite film yesterday, so no doubt she'll be watching that later.

Afternoon All,

I hope Jane's appointment was early and that she now knows what treatment they can give her, Love to Jane <3 <3XX.

Mel what a strange dream you had with me and G in it too!! It makes you wonder how your mind pulls all these disconnected things together when you dream.

The nose has stopped running and become more of a cough now, but just mostly first thing so I feel it is on it's way out now. How is yours now you have the antibiotics Mel?

Vera, I thought there would be less washing once we both finished work but still wonder where it all comes from. I need to change the bed and wash some towels.

Better get my coat on now as we are going to a garden centre and having a jacket potato. I shall also rummage through their boxes as I want one to put something in!

Afternoon all, I hope Jane is happy with what she finds out today. Thinking of you my love. xxxx

Those Eggs looked good enough to eat Mel. What a lot of talent we have on our thread. <3 <3 Artists, needlecraft, You are a clever lot. !!!!

Thought I would never wake up this morning. I got out at 6.45 to the loo, and thought it's a bit early to get up, so settled back down and dropped off until 9.10 am. So all behind like the "DOGS TAIL". !!!

We both fancied Egg and Bacon this morning (Can't remember the last time we did) So I did Eggs Bacon, Mushrooms and tomatoes, toast and coffee. Ros cleared away and washed up, which was a great help.

I am warming up the rest of the Lamb for tonight, with roasties and various veg. So e won't go hungry. ;-) ;-) ;-)

My eyes are not good gain this morning. I am having trouble finding the CURSOR on the screen. and I have a lump on my right eyebrow on the bone.. I think that's the remains of the fall.

Dismal sort of day here, so no plans to go outside to do anything.

Ros has just got the ironing board out, she has all the bedding from yesterdays wash, and other bits of whites.

The ring I was going to buy her. I showed it to her before buying it and she didn't like it. So back to the drawing board. :-S :-S :-S.

I will love and leave you, and trust you are all well. xxxx

I do hope Jane has found out what treatment she can have now that will suit her. Sending love and wishes. <3 <3 <3

Glad you liked my eggs. I have painted three little ones today and varnished the two big ones but the varnish seems to have made the gold duller so I may have to do that again which is a pain.

Must ring the old surgery to see if our scripts will be delivered tomorrow if not I shall have to order from the new surgery.

Good afternoon all. Two more lots of bedding washed today, and our bed changed. Tidied the rest of the things away and found all the Christmas presents that had been hidden away in various cupboards.
Went to the community centre for a coffee and a shared pasty, thought we ought to support them as Saturday night they were broken into, patio doors smashed with half paving slabs, glass everywhere and bottle of wine taken. No other damage though. they worked hard yesterday getting cleared up and opened as normal today. There are some horrible people around these days.
Came home and almost caught up with a couple of soaps from Friday. Watch the rest this evening.
sorted out a presents wanted list for OH to buy me and he complained that it was all too inexpensive. :-D :-D can't win can I?

Hope Jane is OK after her appointment. <3

Mel that was a weird dream and obviously very memorable.

Vera we have loads of washing, I am sure it is not much less than the four of us used to have but I expect it is I have just forgotten.

Recycling bin day tomorrow so I had better get on and get the bin out. No garden bin this week although OH did do a bit of chopping this morning so I suspect the brown bin is full.

Afternoon All

Just a quick one now to let you know what is happening. I shall be starting Chemo next Tuesday. Then I have to go in again the next day for a second lot. They do the first cycle over 2 days .One Chemo drug one day and the second drug the following day. This is because if I was to have an adverse reaction to the drugs they need to know which one. It will take all day both days .The day before I begin the treatment I have to go for a pre treatment assessment with the Oncology Nurse.
This Wednesday I have a Echocardiogram ,ECG and bloods. So it is going to be all go. Chemo will be every 3 weeks for 9 weeks and then I will have a scan to see if things have changed .If it is positive then there will be another lot of Chemo and a 3rd lot if things are still ok. It has been quite a day so time I chilled out now :-D
Thanks for all your good wishes for today.xxx

It’s good you have a treatment plan worked out now Jane. That will take away some of the stress of not knowing what is going to happen. Stay strong, my friend. I am convinced that a positive frame of mind will go a long way towards your eventual recovery. Now go and relax with a nice smooth Baileys.

Lots of love and hugs <3 <3 <3

Yes we'll all send positive thoughts your way ,your strong and you'll cope you have the love of your family and all of us on here to help get you through this <3 <3 <3

Well we had quite a weekend Saturday Lacey was here and we went into the church for the Autumn Fair , the first stall was a tombola and she picked out three tickets ,the first she won a poppy mug ,the second she won a bottle of shower gel but nothing on the last so sh didn't do to bad for a pound LOL
On one of the stalls the lady gave her a little teddy bear pin ,she then had a go in the ( i forget what they call it now ,it's where you rummage in a bin filled with shredded paper and pick a parcel out ) any way she got a little sticker book and finger puppet and she decided she would give it to Lewis bless her .

Yesterday DIL went up into the loft for us ,Colin carn't get up there now and there's so much stuff up there ,she found two boxes of sons old toys and there was a little drum ,well if you could have seen little Lewis's face when he saw it ,he went home with it and you would have thought we had given him the world bless him :-D a simple little toy but he loved it .
We have boxes and boxes of Colin's old work accounts and invoices so you can see what i have been doing today a bit of shredding :-D i think i did 1989 and 1990 and a 2008 but there's loads more to do .

Three Christmas trees !!!! one of them was sons and DIL's that got put up there when we stored a lot of their things when they moved house , son's tennis racket, hockey stick and Badmington racket ,a folder with lots of his art stuff from school , swimming pool cover that we bought and was too small and a paddling pool !!!! still lots more up there but every thing that comes down is mucky so needs a good wipe over .

Love the eggs Mel they should sell well .

Morning All,

Dull and dreary but dry at the moment but that will change to rain soon I think.

That's good you know what's going to happen now Jane and you can get prepared with all you will need and with things to do. Hopefully you will be one of those who doesn't get many side effects.......keeping my fingers crossed for you. <3 Come on here when you feel able and let us know how you are as we are all thinking of you.

OH was up with the lark and off to Oakham to a meeting this morning. I see he hasn't remembered to leave money for the window cleaner and probably thought he wouldn't come with the expected rain. I shall do a few errands and then I have a nasty smell to deal with in the utility room. With my sense of smell still affected by the cold I'm not sure if it is the sink drain or something gone off in the fridge! :-0

Oops window cleaner here and it's started to rain as well. :-S BBL

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 26 Nov 2019 09:38

Good morning all

Annx the rain doesn't stop them does it? Ours came in the rain last week, can't tell if it was a good job or not when it is so wet. And yes mine never has the money to pay the window cleaner. Ours is £14.40 and he doesn't do the conservatory.
Hope you locate the smell. It is probably the drain if you have recently run the washing machine, that usually seems to make the drain smell.

Drizzling here this morning we are hoping to go into town but won't go if it is raining.

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 26 Nov 2019 10:26

Morning all,

Dull and dreary here too with that rain in the air.

I am so pleased that our Jane knows what treatment she is having now . Its always the not knowing thats the worry. As Ann said I do hope you're one who dos'nt get many side effects from the treatment. Hope the fan will help with the heat in the hospital.

For those of you that don't know I sent Jane a little present of a neck fan. It has two fans that you can adjust to blow where you need it and you can also put scented oil of perfume in little pads that fit in the middle so it blows nice smells around. Its hands free and you where it round your neck and is rechargable.

We don't have a window cleaner oh does it sometimes but with all the trees at the back of us we get a lot of muck on the windows from them. When we did have one ten to one it would rain the moment he left the garden or we would get the wind coming off the sea and they would be all mucked up again. Being a bungalow he only has the ground level so not too bad. He always puts the pressure washer on them first.

What treasure you found in the loft Mandy. Dear little Lewis being so pleased with the drum. I bet mum will wish she had never found it by now!!

Another donkey day and I need to do Lidl as well as Morrisons so I better get on.

Made three more little pom pom hats yesterday in the Harry Potter colours.

I've not been able to get online since yesterday morning and since I've been on here I've lost my connection a few times, so I hope it doesn't go off again before I post this message.

It's good you now have a treatment plan Jane, stay strong we're all here for you when you feel up to posting. I'll keep my fingers crossed all goes well with your Chemo. Keep positive. Sending lots of hugs and kisses off Sandra and I.

I'm going to post this now and then I'll catch up with the rest of the posts if the Internet stays on. If not I'll try again tomorrow.

I hope this goes through okay.

Frank Report 26 Nov 2019 15:27

Good afternoon all,
I am pleased you know your treatment Jane and how long it will take. Will be thinking of you, and sending my love and best wishes.

Mandy, I daren't go up in our loft. There is so much that went up there when we moved down from Gayton over 20 years ago. It's going to be a right old job for the BOYS when we pass on. ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) They will find things that we wouldn't even know were there . Our wedding photo's, loads of Ros's Mum and dads things that she kept. Plus in the back of the Garage, there are glass and Dinner services, together with loads od keep sakes.

Yes, there are some right nasty people around. I found out yesterday that someone was stabbed outside the "ROYAL OAK" my Local pub. I know no more yet, but will no doubt hear more as the week go's on.

I am still BLIND in my right eye, and having trouble watching T,V. No chance of reading a book or paper, it's just too difficult, and very tiring. So most of the time my eyes are closed.

Ros rang me earlier. She and Carolyn are at the A & E at the hospital, hopingzhey can locate and remove her finger nail. Harvey laughed his head off when she told him the story. lol lol. How long they will be there is anyones guess.

Val next door came home from hospital yesterday, I know no more than that, I did ring Tony to get that information. He as usual isn't very forthcoming .

Easy tea/dinner tonight. Chicken Kiev, chips and corn on the cob. and or Baked beans.

Lights and heating on, so everywhere will be nice and warm and welcoming for when Ros gets home.

I have charged her battery. I borrowed John's charger, as I didn't hear from Jonathan. The RAC did come out yesterday and get it started and told me to leave it running for a while, which I did. By charging it today, it is topped up, and should be fine. The reason the battery went flat, was Ros left the PARKING lights on after we went out Saturday evening, and wasn't found till Monday, when she went to move it to get the bins out.

Off to rest my eyes now. Will be in touch again tomorrow. xxxx
