Morning all,
Lovely bright sunny morning here with a good wind ,I haven't done any washing this morning as I'm quite up to date with it which is a pity as there would be a good dry out with the wind .
I should think it's over for Jane now as she said she had to be there for eight this morning ,I do hope they can tell here what the problem is today so she doesn't have to wait any longer to get the problem sorted., love to you Jane if you look in today <3
Frank hope you managed to get a good night's sleep last night and your resting the eye .
Colin wasn't stuck to long Gill he got home about half an hour after me . Bet Sandra is enjoying her garden lights ,are they still on pink ? :-D You'll have to get her one of those Santa stop here signs to go in her garden .
I've had the cob Web brush out this morning ,had a good hoover through and now having a coffee before I tackle some thing else ,I feel in the mind for a bit of cleaning today ,another day I just can't seem to get going with it .
The windows really need doing out side but it's a bit to sunny to do them plus it should rain tomorrow so they'd only get messed up again .
Right I think the coffee is cool enough so I'd better drink it ,BBL

Good morning all
I hope everything has gone well with Jane. If they are taking biopsies she may have to wait for the results. I hope she doesn’t have too long a wait as the not knowing can be quite stressful. Sending you love Jane <3
Frank it was good to see you come back and post and hear that they can treat your problem with lasers, but now you must rest those eyes. Do you have any friends who listen to audio books? If so, perhaps they could lend you some. The audio recordings are pretty good these days and it might help pass an hour or two.
Ann, I love your bag. It looks very professional. Do you ever sell any of your bits and pieces? I am sure they would be a nice little extra earner for you to keep or give to a charity.
It’s good the new coopies are starting to lay for you Mel. At least you are sure you get your eggs fresh. I only buy free range and local if possible but I often wonder how old they are before they get to me.
I laughed at it being hair day for everyone yesterday as I also had my hair cut then. My hair is short and thick (and very grey!). I’ve been going to the same hairdresser for years because she cuts it so well but lately she has put her prices up several times and you get no warning. It’s only when you go to pay that you find the price has gone up another couple of pounds. So I decided to look elsewhere. My neighbour goes to a young woman nearby who operates from home so I gave her a try. I am reserving judgment at the moment. She has cut it OK but very short and flat at the sides and the back. I’ll see how it falls when I wash it next time. I thought she was also fairly expensive but the worst thing for me is she only takes appointments on Wednesdays or Saturdays and neither day is ideal for me. I usually go on Thursdays or, failing that, Tuesdays.
Just seen the time. I have to go out shortly so I must quickly grab something to eat. Might bbl

I have only managed to put a few things away today but I have found my very small gooley eyes which is a bonus as I have been looking for them all week.
I don't have a problem with hairdressers as I never cut my hair it just breaks off but the very ends are getting a bit of a problem now as I can't reach them even with a long handled comb I have to pull it through the comb with my other hand. One day I will get it cut before it all falls out.
I need to go round with the cobweb brush too Mandy. They appear overnight!! and I always seem to miss some and then see them later.
I have one of those Santa Stop Here signs but its up in the loft and since oh piled everything up one end when he did the lagging I hav'nt been able to find anything up there.
Lunch is calling so I better go and do something about it.

Afternoon all. Hope Jane came through her treatment OK. She might well be home by now.
Yes thanks, I had a good night's sleep. I got out during the night for the loo, nd again at 7.00 am. Eos wasn't in bed, I went into the lounge and she had been up since 6.00 am I went back to bed, and finally got up at 9.30.
Ros comerdeared the shower to get her hair washed, she seemed to be in there for ever. I finally got in a very steamy bathroom, to shower and shave. All dressed in trousers and shirt.
I had some little Pork pies with some mustard for lunch with a nice COC. Tonight it will be Fish and Chips from our shop in Towcester. So no cooking for me. !!! Ros hasn't got CHOIR tonight. So she will be watching her soaps, and I will be sitting there with my eyes closed.I am still as BLIND as a BAT in my left eye, so no reading of anything for there next couple of weeks.
Valerie Barker is here this afternoon, she needs Ros's help with something she is making. They are sitting there, nattering like two old washer woman. ;-) ;-) ;-) I will stay out of their way, on the computer.
We are having a NEW DYSON. Should be here next week. So the Dyson DC35 Animal will be for sale when it arrives. On Ebay they are selling for around £80.00, so if I advertise it locally, I might be lucky to find a buyer. That can be my BEER MONEY, if Ros doesn't get her hands on it first. lol lol
Sun has just come out, and is shining right in my eyes, so I am off. See you soon. xxx

Good afternoon, It was the weekly Tesco shop this morning then to see Pharmacist nurse at 2pm, she is only at our surgery one half day a week and is a lovely young girl. My blood tests were back, sugar level still borderline (has been for two years. Pre type 2 diabetes is a reading between 42 and 48 and my reading is 44. So nice young lady is going to send me a diet sheet. My BP which was 111/66 3 weeks ago has gone up to 124/88 so an improvement with halving the BP meds. When we got back OH was sorting out an arcing sound around my PC, he moved and checked everything and seems to have fixed it now. Meanwhile I was doing the monthly acounts and credit card check etc so that is out of the way for another month. Usually I procrastinate over doing that so it was a good opportunity to not be able to get into my PC/craft room.
Frank, good to see you writing a chirpy post, so pleased that you had a good nights sleep, it makes such a difference. Have you managed to get any talking books to keep you out of mischief?
Mel, how long is your hair? Is it down to your waist. I have to say I couldn't be bothered with long hair, only ever grew it to shoulder length in my 20s, it is so thisck and wiry it was too bushy and unmanageable at that length.
I hope Jane is now tucked up in the warm at home and not feeling too sore. Thinking of you Jane <3 <3
Vera your hair sounds like mine. I have had the same young woman for must be 15 years now although she was in the shop as the apprentice 27 years ago when we were going to the last owner. She is now the owner of the shop. She has only put her prices up a couple of times in about five years and we do get a pensioners' rate for OH to have his dry cut at the same time I have a wash, cut and blow dry costs £30.50. We go every 5 weeks.
Mandy, I did have a flick round the cobwebs this week but they weren't to bad, not too many so far.
Gill hope you got your sheets washed and dried. It had been drizzle all day here today and quite cold.

Pleased to see you had a decent nights sleep Frank, I bet you feel better for it today? Keep resting your eyes it'll only do it good. Good luck selling your Dyson when the new one arrives.
You've reminded me Mandy I need to get the cob web brush out, I noticed the other day there were some in the corner of the spare bedroom, but I couldn't do anything about it then as I'd just finished the painting in there and didn't want any cob webs sticking to it. Must remember tomorrow to do it as I've just finished sorting out the bedding and it's almost dinner time. Yes Sandra is still looking at her lights and they are still on PINK. The way the lights are set up, each time you turn them on they remember what colour they were the last time they were on and keep at that colour until you change it. At first I tried all the colours, just to see what they looked like, but Sandra insisted she had her pink lights, I must admit it's the best colour, so she chose well.
That's not right Vera, your hairdresser putting up her prices and not letting you know until you have had your hair cut and go to pay her. It's not like you can change your mind by then is it? I hope you find another hairdresser you like soon.
You sound a bit like me Mel when I brush my hair, I need to hold it up so I can reach the ends with the hair brush and I don't think mine's as long as yours. At least our long hair keeps our neck's warm in the winter lol :-D :-D

Missed your post there AnnG, it sounds like you've been very busy today. Good news about your BP. Yes, all the bedding is done and the bed made up again ready for tonight, so that's another job out of the way. I tried do to some more on OH's tree but have spent most of the day trying to work out someone else's mistake on their tree (the one I'm copying off). I go through everyone one by one checking they're right, but this one, which I finally worked out, was a combination of two different people. It's all sorted now, so I'm going to have a cuppa before dinner and give my eyes a break from the screen.

Afternoon All,
I hope Jane is back home and resting now. OH's endoscopies only took about 20 minutes, but with a general anaesthetic there is a recovery time afterwards before you can go home. I hope they had some news for her so she doesn't have to wait.
I'm glad you liked the bag as I have enjoyed doing those, although there is always a moment of panic before you start and when your mind goes blank! Gill tell Sandra someone else said just the same as she did....CUTE! The only time I have sold anything was some jewellery years ago when I went to classes and we all sold things at an exhibition at a school. All we had to do was price our things and deliver them to the school. Otherwise I have given things as presents for friends and my sister and made things for me. At some point when there is enough, I shall try selling some. I am just learning these other crafts so may not want to take them up as you need a lot of space for all the clobber you need for each craft!
Mel I think little Owls are still very popular so your pompom ones should do well on your stall. I love the idea of the sweets for the children to buy too. :-)
I think OH has reached his second childhood! This morning in Aldi he bought a toy Ukelele for him! He isn't musical but has had a hankering to play one for a long time and couldn't resist. lol He's already thinking it wasn't a good idea so I expect some child is going to get an unexpected gift! Well at least this was cheap, not like a proper one would be. :-D
What a game your trip out turned out to be Mandy and it was a good job you caught your hairdresser before she went. I dread getting caught in a holdup like that in case you need a toilet! Those signs when you get them down are much bigger than you expect so it's a good job it didn't fall on anyone. I need to get the cobweb brush out again too as I keep noticing fresh ones.
That's good you had a good sleep last night Frank. It must be strange having no sight in one of your eyes and must make the other work harder. so you be patient and listen to the radio! :-)
Gill it's great when you get a present you really enjoy like that. I looked up the chap and he's into all kinds of interesting studies and projects to do with space. We watched the Brian Cox programmes about the planets (as you most likely did too!) which were very interesting. OH is a bit sensitive and it can send his tummy a bit funny thinking of all those thousands of miles away!

Evening All
I have just got home after a very very long day and sadly the news is not good. It is Oesophageal Cancer :-(. I had an MRI to see if there is any spread . As you can imagine it has hit us like a ton of bricks. I need a bit of time to get my head around this so will not post for a day or so. I am exhausted now so have come to bed. I m sure that Chris and James will be able to have a chat later with out me around.
Great news about Lola Frank :-D. What a lucky little dog.

Ann its funny you should say that about G as I used to not like to look up at the stars either. It made me feel creepy somehow. Since being with oh I can now look at them all ok as he explains everything to me and we watch for the space crafts when they go over. We see klots here with it being so dark with no street lights or neighbours.
Still not done any HW but I did clean the chickens out. Their house was wet with all this rain and them walking in and uot all the time.
I too am pleased you had a good nights sleep Frank and lets hope its the same tonight. It can make a great difference if you can get a good one for a couple of nights running.
AnnG good results from your test then and out of the way for another while. We hav'nt had our flu jabs yet!!! They usually let us know when we should have them and last year they came to the village and we all went up the village hall for them.
As to the length of my hair AnnG it comes down to my knees. I did send the others a pic once a while ago just to prove it is as long as I said. I did say I would have it cut when I was 60 but that did'nt happen. Oh hates it. I used to cut 6 inches off each Christmas but I stopped that a few years ago. It was only the straggerly bits on the ends.
Ann do you think G will have a strum of the ukelele or should I say a pluck?
Hope Jane is now rested after todays ordeal. I wonder when we will hear if she has had her results?

Oh Jane, what a shock for you. It will take a while for you to get your head round it and no doubt you will have treatment to face. I can only offer this for you. Our good friend in Devon was diagnosed with the same about four years ago and had treatment and an operation, he is 81 now and doing ok, no sign of cancer at the moment. This might give you hope. Shall be thinking of you. Take your time we are here when you need us <3 <3 <3

I suppose it must have been in the back of your mind as a possibility, being a medical person, but to be told it is that would be hard for anyone to get their head around. I hope you soon hear about the MRI scan results and that they are good. Lots of love and hugs. <3 <3 xxx.

A new month, let us hope the weather is drier this month. Not a good start to the month for our poor Jane. I am hoping that the MRI results wil be better news. Thinking of you Jane and so wishing there was something we could do. <3 <3 <3
Avery grey start to the month in more ways than one as it doesn't look very nice out there although not raining yet. OH has a very early dentist appointment to have impressions taken so he has got up early and gone on his own. I got up half an hour ago, he won't be long although he was obviously feeling fit as he has walked round. For us it is a tip visit with a huge amount of garden waste again, the bin is full so he filled several huge garden waste bags yesterday. Then we have hair appointments at 1pm.
anyway better get my breakfast. BBL.

Morning All,
I see it is wet outside after a few dry days and I wanted OH to put the garden chairs in the conservatory (no room in the garage now!) but it will have to wait till they are dry again now.
Like you AnnG Jane and her news has been on my mind and I know my head would be so full of it all. I hope she gets news of the scan soon. <3
I'm up early because I got a call from the 'bowling club lady' I met last week. She couldn't find my address and doesn't know how to email the pattern she promised me. I asked if she is going to the workshop tomorrow that I am going to with a friend and she said not but she has a friend who is so is going and will drop the pattern off to her this morning and ask her to give it me tomorrow. She's also enclosing some other patterns for me which is nice of her. Fortunately no mention of joining the club, but she was in a hurry to go out! lol. :-)
HW this morning till we go to the carvery 5 minutes away. The ensuite needs the floor mop round it so I must remember to put distilled water in it this time as I forgot last time. The shower won't need doing as we use the one over the bath usually as the curtain goes in the washer and saves me cleaning glass doors! It's handy to have a spare shower though in case one goes wrong or we can't get into the bath in the future. The ensuite is my little bathroom so it doesn't get as messy without a MAN in there! lol. I must get some cash today as a friend is going to the NEC today and is getting me some felting wool there as it will be cheaper. I can make a start on my next sheep picture then. :-)
Better make a start now I've had a cuppa.
