You'd think any home would be keen to investigate and make sure there weren't any 'light fingers' working for them wouldn't you Frank. Maybe they will take the matter seriously now.

Sounds a good idea having a desert you can whip out of the freezer Mandy. I never manage any christmas pud on the day either, too rich and heavy after the dinner.

We haven't had anymore snow today......see what tomorrow brings. I am supposed to be visiting my friend to see her new little foal later next week. She keeps her ponies on the outskirts of a village the other side of the city. It is a few miles down narrow lanes with a quite steep winding lane with hairpin bends to the field. I might need a shovel!!!

Your eye massage sounds really relaxing Jane. Hmmmmh..... Hannah all kitted out now then......... as you say, stations are always the most draughty and freezing places in the winter. Think I would have 'fainted' at the cost of that season ticket though........is it FIRST CLASS!!! lol

I think OH said he would bring fish and chips home after the match, I just fancy them!!

Jane

Jane Report 27 Nov 2010 16:59

First Class My A**** Ann ,and the actual ticket is just a flimsy thing like an ordinary train ticket. She will have to stick that in those machines each day to use the tubes as well.I can't see it lasting 12 months!!.
I quite fancy fish and chips, but am doing a roast.I have to it is smelling good.

Poor Chester is limping very badly today.I think he needs a crutch lol

Jane, my niece lives in Lillies Leaf, a small village. about 20 odd miles from Edinburgh.

Smell all nice now. Is Chris in for a treat or what !!!
What a price to have to stand back and forth to St Pancras. Might be lucky to get a seat home, but not going. I know back in the early 60s our monthly season ticket seemed expensive but £120.00 a week is outrageous. Don't know how they afford it these days. Thats before you pay tax etc. No wonder London wages are better than any other towns.

We will be having our indian delivered. Would like a bit of F & C but too cold to go out and get it. !!!

Have a good day tomorrow Jane and wear some warm cloths.

Fiona, Thanks for the photo's ,your poor little Wishing Well out in the cold !!
Bet your OH was cold cleaning those windows in the snow.

What a price for a train ticket ,what ever would first Class cost then ? and not even guaranteed a seat !! i think you should get it cheaper if you have to stand all the way .

Jacket potatoes for us tonight with Chicken and Bacon Pie .

LOL Frank. He might think he is in for a treat.......but he can keep thinking lol.I need a good nights sleep.I have been waking up nearly every hour for the last few nights. It's driving me mad.
What a lovely name Lillies Leaf.I have cousins in Edinburgh.A lovely city.I think I would be quite happy living there.

Tomorrow we will have a shovel in the car as well as blankets/duvet.Some sensible shoes too.Just in case the weather turns nasty on the way home from the wedding. The thought of getting stuck on the M1 gives me the willies.I think we will probably leave the wedding about 9pm rather than stay until the end at 11.Just to be on the safe side.We are the only people who will have to travel any distance.
Chester is being collected at 10am to stay overnight with the lady who had him for the week when we went to Suffolk.I will be sending him with his bed ,toys and plenty of food in case he gets snowed in on Monday.Plus his tablets. He is not a happy bunny tonight.I'm not sure these painkillers are doing much good.

Finished the advent ring and been off the net for a while because of what OH was doing.

Thanks for the pics Ann and Liz. We have'nt had any more snow just a sprinkling of very tiny wee balls that soon melted. Other snow still about and I can't walk past the study quietly as OH can hear me crunching on the frozen snow.

All chickies tucked up for the night and the little banties have'nt been out all day.

Murrey lost by one point to Nadel .I hope everyone is safe if out it is freezing here please take care.

My boots were not bad for the price Jane but I have just ordered some winter boots if the snow got really deep I doubt wether my short ones would be much good.
The Barefoot Countessa Mandy thats an old film .I love the old movies.
was it Ava Gardner.
Christmas memories for me my dad smoking a cigar and just being with him for a while over Christmas .Also my mum managing to give us a lovely lot of food over christmas when food was so difficult to get.

I remember my mum after we had a turkey dinner she would hide the turkey and it would not appear until Boxing Day tea cold or sandwiches and my brother and I would fight over the parsons nose .
Crackers were awful you would search for the inner to pull it and it used to come straight out. Have a nice evening going to watch strictly and laugh at Ann will she go out this time I doubt it. nite everyone.

Sheila , The Bare Foot Contessa is a cookery programme ,she makes some nice things .

Poor Chester ,perhaps he has an inkling that your going out and that he's off to the sitters tomorrow Jane, although as Mel said, it could be the cold playing him up !!

It's on !!! Wagner first. Thank God. get hIm out of the way. It's on for two hours. I will stay on Computer till it's over. I can hear what I want from here.

Poor old Chester, being shipped off in this weather, you should be ashamed of yourself LOL. I'm sure he will be fine. Will you walk him in the morning, before he goes. ????

We have had our takeaway. Chicken Pasanda for Ros, and half Tandorri Chicken for me.

When Ros washes our cats blankets, he lays on the floor. As soon as they are washed and tumbled dried, replaced on back of chair in front of the window, up he goesand off to sleep.

The cursor keeps jumping back into the main text.. got the colly wobbles !!! and when you put Genes on the bottom bar, and click on it to bring it up it will only go back to page 1/10. Then you have to start all over again.

Jane

Jane Report 27 Nov 2010 20:21

I love the saying Colly Wobbles.Haven't heard that for a long time .Thanks Frank for reminding me of it.
Yes Chester will have a little walk early tomorrow .I would have asked my neighbours to pop in and see to hm tomorrow ,but as I don't know what time we will be home plus the uncertainty with the weather I thought it best he went to this lady.
Oh Frank don't you like the lovely Wagner???????.I know he is a cr** singer ,but there is something about him that I like.I admire him for his enthusiasm .

Dom was in the loo waiting for the two girls to say they could smell something ,and making noises as if he was on the loo lolol.

Something you don't hear that much is "Blundering over " i was always falling over when i was little and mum would say to dad she's been blundering over again !!!

More snow !!
I hope the weather is better tomorrow Jane for the wedding ,hope you've got your camera charged ,looking forward to seeing some pictures .

944am.

Morning All,

No more snow here just what is left of the first covering we had.
Sun is shining brightly but it is still very cold with great big sparkles on the snow like huge lumps of glitter.

Frank thats what was happening to me yesterday with the page numbers, every time I tried to go to the last page it would just take me to 1 to 10. I just posted a message and read on from there.

Study all papered now as OH finished it before dinner last night. It is on the west side of the house and it has'nt dried yet so he can't get on with the painting of it. He has brought the dehumidifier down from the caravan and has that going in there.

Well I have'nt got hardly any pressies yet. I had a few for mum as I always buy bits and pieces when I see them. Will have to give them to aunty Joy now. She and mum always gave each other a lot of llittle presents. Same as mum and I.

Still have lots to sort out in the lounge and OH is going to put My and mums dollhouses in the lounge behind the fireplace which is sort of off set in a quarter of the room with a huge bookcase fitted to the wall behind. Will probably put them on the old chest of drawers that came out of our bedroom.
