Good Morning Everyone,

I bet Frank and Jane are suffering this morn lol

Mel... You and your mum are in our thoughts. Hope all is well today.

Well, we are off to my parents for the day. It's quite a journey and so I hope Mark travels well - hasn't been far as yet. My dad says he has organised a 'treasure hunt' for the girls - so that should keep him amused and them too lol
Hope you all have a lovely day.

Morning Everyone.
Another windy day by the look of things.I hope you all had a good night.I really thought I would have dreamt about Henry V111 and Catherine.I don't remember dreaming last night which is unusual for me.
Just the 2 of us for dinner today so I am doing Ribeye Steaks.
Just going to do some hoovering quickly while Chester is out as he always attacks the hoover and barks non stop, and he manages to get me all het up

I'm afraid that is the only way to deal with a bully, you have GOT to stand up for yourself! I think poor Polly is like I was, when my mother told me to smack someone back, I apparently replied that I didn't want to smack him back!!!! and this is exactly how P feels. however, she did really well in her competition at Newcastle yesterday!! with honours for her floor work, and coming 4th overall, which means that she will be on the team for an international! (forgive me, I think I'm boasting here!) We are toying with idea of moving up country to be closer to them. As Alice (younger G-daughter) said 'Granny, Somerset is just TOO far away', and of course she is right, we see less and less of them, and they are growing up fast without us. I like living HERE though! Have to see!!!! Henry V111 and Catherine Parr(?) eh? certainly curtsey time!!!!

Morning all,
Cold, windy day here. but bright.

Watched Andre Rieu till 1am. slept like a log, till 9.30am.
All showered and shaved. Going to drive out to Weston Favell, to pick up another book this morning, saving £2.75 postage. We also have to drop off a friends B'Day card.
Ros got back from shopping at about 6.15pm bought me new pair of sliippers, (MUST NOT GO DOWN TO CHICHENS IN THEM !!!!)

She is busy in the Kitchen. making green tomato chutney. Her Mothers old receipe, gives to all and sundry.
everybody seems to like it.!!!! nice with bread and cheese.

Have had to list my item again on Ebay. The person who tried to buy it is tottaly new to Ebay with no feedback. The problem is If after I have sent the Item, he can claw back the money within 30 days. and If he dissapears, so does my goods. NO WAY MATE>pick on some other fool.!!!

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 26 Sep 2010 11:39

Morning,

The sun is out, the sky is blue, there is cloud though!! Only white fluffy ones. Bit of a breeze.

I started to watch Simply Red last night but OH came in after speaking to his sister on the phone and turned it over!!!!! I loved their music and thought Mick Hucknal was great.

Frank it was a women who had the baby farm on my tree and her husband disappeared and changed his name. I have never found out what he changed it to or him on any census. She had a child by him but that disappeared to. Whether he took the child or not I don't know. I was told about it all by someone on GR I think who had connections with the family and she said to me "I suppose you kjnow about Amelia his wife?" I was intrigued and replied "No do tell" well you could have knocked me down with a feather when she told me. That started me off on the chase for this person. I even found the trial in court. She was hanged at Holloway the first two women to be hanged there. There is an account of her and Annie Walters on Wiki.

Mum has had a little porridge this morning which is the first thing she has eaten of any substance for three days.

Quite right Frank, CAUTION is the bye word, as we have learnt to our cost!! Have had contact with the site that this trailor was advertised on. They are taking it very seriously and want ALL e-mails and paper work connected with this scam. Won't help us to get our money back, but might save it happening to someone else and even put these s...... in the hands of the law. Here's for hoping!

Well I have cleaned like someone possessed lol.I even turned the dining table round and hoovered all the chairs. When I moved the table I noticed the wall behind is damp !!.Had a bit of a panic as I couldn't think where it had come from. But we think it is from the tomatoes in the grow bags which are up against the back wall and all the watering that has gone on them. Also Chris had covered up an airbrick !!! Silly so and so.I hope the wall paper will dry out now and not fall off.

No Frank,no roasties with the steak. It is mushrooms, tomatoes, peas and CHIPS ! I am just going to make a start.

Jane Report 26 Sep 2010 14:11

Mel ,I'm glad your Mum has had a little food.Is she able to be up in her chair?

I would have boxed Chris's ears if he had turned the TV over in the middle of Simply Red.As it was he left me to it and went to bed lol

Fiona you have SUN!!! We have cloud .Not a very nice day.I don't know what the weather is for tomorrow morning for the funeral.I think myself and the other Dr's wives I am taking will probably be outside in the churchyard for the service. There will be so many people there.I'm not looking forward to it.I'm not good at funerals.

Fiona

Fiona Report 26 Sep 2010 15:17

Jane , WE HAD the sun, but now it's gone cloudy, will need to take washing in before they get damp, will be thinking of you & Chris tomorrow at the funeral, I don't think anyone is any good when it comes to funerals especially when the deceased is close to you especially a work colleague,
wrap up well, it probably will be cold, do you know if it's a cremation or burial? you may need woolie underwear,

Better go and get the washing.

I am back from Stratford now .Elizabeth I am so sorry about you loosing your money. I spoke to my son today he is a prison officer and he said you should never buy from that site and said if its any consulation they have four prisoners in his prison who conned people out of money when buying cars all that used the site you did.
I really went through the mill with my son when I decided to do what David said and use ebay to get a computor in fact my son came with me when I went to collect it and he said to the man I was having it from .Will you be phoning up to to see how my mum finds it in a few weeks. I nearly died
I thought he must think cheeky person but the seller said yes sure if thats what you want and the man phoned twice while I have been away. Not every ones bad who sell things but I agree with Amanda you need pay pal.My son was testing him had he said oh no or made a excuse he may have been selling me some rubbish.

My son was annoyed with Frank though he said do not get envolved and if you are do not say so on the computor
they have a guy in prison who did that and ended in trouble with the police. I am saying no more .
People try to help and it often backfires. Elizabeth is a lovely caring person and it always happens to people who do not deserve it. I do not trust anybody at all and computors scare me you do not know whoes out there on them. But you do get some really nice people.

I had a lovely meal in Stratford just plain old fish cooked with white wine sauce and almonds no meat after I saw those sheep being treated so badly. I fell over walking across a raised paving stone in Stratford went wham straight down on my bum and could not get up got it nice and wet and had to go in a hotel for a drink and use the ladies and dry myself off . Annie is a very wise type of lady always carries a spare pair of panties but they were a little small for my rear and I nearly lost them when I came out.

Now its back to cold and work plenty here. I find Bham really cold after Stratford .Maureen love you .You encouraged me to get all that treatment to my hair and may I say your hair on the photo I have looks really nice.
Amanda also when in Wales she said I did need food and a car to get to the shops. Not everyone thought like that . 2 miles to the shop did not seem far with a car but did not fancy walking that with a load of shopping
at my age. I must stop wearing heels also after I fell yesterday but was not hurt just wet. But do feel better .
I see we have a Katherine Parr relative in Catie. I had a lady came on a web site I was on saying she was related to her only it was Catherine Parr with a C is that somebody different anyway Catie should get on to her. I am going to meet a long lost relative I met from Kingston Baguise Berks next week my great grandads cousons son. I am so glad I discovered my new family on genes I have met four now and a old lady of 108 I sent the picture to Jane do not know if she got it. However the poor lady is
poorly now mabe the excitement of being 108 and having her picture taken

My younger daughter is here today driving back tonight
April is in a ballet tomorrow she is a keen little ballet dancer also and we have to finish a fairy costume for her
Jess is the machinist and I have stich a few sparklies on her wings. She looked so cute earlier but is not fairy like she was jumping on her toes like a miniture elephant so funny she said I hate school I do not like the music learning
do ray me BA so la tee doe .I said it is fa not ba you have been round that sheep too much she said and you have been round that dog too much. Jessica said do not be cheeky April I think she needs a brother or sister April
does get a bit cheeky in a sweet way she is a bit spoilt
Anyway thanks for the support really did need it and appreciate it a lot. bye xx

Hiya Sheila.I hope you feel refreshed after your stay in Stratford.
I did get your email pics of the 108 year old lady, and that wonderful cake.I think I replied but not sure lol.

Fiona,The service is being held in the tiny village church and then a private commital (sp).Whether that is in the churchyard or elsewhere I'm not sure.I think the wake is in the village hall next to the church.I have 2 coats out ready. My black linen jacket (that I finally found ) and my winter Jacket. Will decide in the morning.I don't feel the cold ,so it may well be the Linen lol.I have the brolly in the car in case it is needed.I need to clean my shoes!!

Thank you Sheila for your kind words. Actually it was some consolation to hear that some of these low-lifes have actually ended up in prison. We have been in contact with the police and the site concerned, both of whom are taking it very seriously which is good. Have had a day in the garden and have started putting it to bed for the winter; Runner Beans and Sweet Peas are now on the bonfire, lawn has been cut, hopefully for the last time?! LOTS of weeds though, so still plenty to do! SIL had a brilliant find the other day. She typed into Google the name of an ancester, and there he was plus portrait (before photos); also a load of info, only trouble is that he was a general merchant in Jamaica, and we are slightly worried that his merchandise could have been slaves, which is not a very nice thought. Still, I suppose we all have to be aware that we might turn up things that we're NOT keen on! I found a rellie that ended up in the workhouse, and that made me feel quite sad, and she lived to be 92 poor old soul!!!

Over at son's house again today, trying to get the ground ready for the grass seed, then the heavens opened. Son was putting up a shed, it was like a giant mecano and he was getting very frustrated, the air was blue, so decided to call it a day and leave him to it.

Elizabeth don 't feel stupid, we have all been taken in at some time or another, a lot of money to lose though. Hope little Polly (love that name) is strong enough to ignore those bullies. It's usually from jealousy. My girls have been bullied at school. One used to do Karate, and probably not the right advise to give but I said when you come across one of those girls on her own in the toilet give her a good thump !!!!

Mel my thoughts are with you and your mum, I know how you are feeling.
