LK, yes, that were them in 1861 census of Pearce.

Yes, there is so many coincidences around Allens.

Recently, I found that Moses Pearce's illegtmate granddaughter, Charlotte Pearce's marriage in Woolwich where her witness Richard Allen was. However, I could not find out who he was. I really hope he would connect to Gertrude.

Name: Charlotte Pearce
Age: 24
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1864
Spouse Name: Joseph Gilmer
Spouse Age: 22
Record Type: Marriage
Marriage Date: 24 Dec 1888
Parish: St Mary Magdalene, Woolwich
County: Kent
Borough: Greenwich
Father Name: John Pearce (should be Jarvis)
Spouse Father Name: David Gilmer
Witnesses: Richard Allen and Cecilia Jarvis (Charlotte's sister).

Hi LK,

I have not heard from Yvonne about her tree of Robert Tetlow. She is not opening a purple envelope yet, never mind.

Finally, I received a copy of Jane McKnigh's marriage certificate today. I am surprised to read who her witnesses were. It was James and Mary Rook (Rutherford). Jane and Robert lived at 27 Dicey Street Woolwich. They were married at The Register Office in Woolwich. That's where Gertrude and her husband George were married at the same place in 1915.

So Jane knew of James and Mary Rutherford (Rook) before. Mystery, I still could not find James and Mary's marriage. I tried with Rook but nothing to find it.

I wonder that Jane would know John and Margaret Allen. Too many mysteries.

Hi LK, I think I would buy a copy of Julie McKnight and Michael Martin's marriage certificate. They were married at Woolwich in 1880. I hope their witnesses would be John and Margaret Allen or anyone with Allen.

Last night, I found a copy of Julie's first marriage certificate to Robert McKnight. They were married at Dublin in 1866. Their witnesses were Eliza Leeson and William Johnston. Julie's maiden was Doyle. However, I think it does not help any thing with Allens.

In theory this should be on the London marriages collection.

I cannot find it tthough.

LK, yes I agreed with you. I can't find it, too.

I think Julia McKnight might be married in the Register Office at Woolwich. Because I can't find Gertrude Rutherford (Allen) and Jane McKnight’s marriages in the London marriages collection. Both of them were at The Register Office.

So The Register Office certificates might not be in the London marriage collection.

I will get a copy of Julia's marriage certificate next week.
