Not been around for a couple of days, busy doing other things. I have Pm'd you CC, to show my support for your great thread.

It is a shame that none of us could not chat and write our feelings and suffering, whether it be Depression, Stress or Anxiety.

But of course, such a lot of us are popular on GR, have met and would still rather not mention that we suffer from certain, 'taboo' problems' to some folks.

We can all benefit from listening, to each other.

Love to all sufferings, from any problems.

Jenny xx

thats lovely caz has someone who used to suffer for quite a while i know how it feels, you have good and bad days the bad days taking over the good usually, gradually over the years it might pass has mine did but can come back and sometimes does with a vengence:((

the best cure i found is stick with people who are naturally happy:)
because in my case the depression only has to see a depressed person and it rears it's ugly head again...i am ok now but it is the people who have to live with us that i can now feel sorry for has,but i am happy now than i have been in years so there is light at the end of that bleak tunnel, BE HAPPY

Thats lovely Caz, very thoughtful. Im on homeopathic tablets from my GP for anxiety and insomnia, but I know some people suffer much more than me. xx

I never took depression seriously until it hit me a few years ago.......it was a long climb back to the light, but I made it and have been lucky not to have a recurrence as yet.

Only since then have I truly understood what it means and offer my friendship and support to all sufferers.

just nudging for all of us who suffer with this awful illness.

i call it an illness because thats what it is,although there are a lot of people who think that we just ought to pull ourselves together..its not that easy!!!!

some days i feel great and then out of the blue i can feel myself slipping,i try to shrug it off and shout at myself, but before i know it,im back at rock bottom again.

i get that bad that i just sit curled up in the corner of the sofa, shaking.

i cant even go into the kitchen because i am scared .
it sounds silly, but only those who suffer will understand.

the painc attacks are frightenng.

my hubby has been brilliant and quite often he has sat up all night with me breathing into a brown paper bag.

he doesnt understand and cant begin to imagine what im going through, but i know that he cares enough not to walk out!

many a times he could have just walked out the door because of the way i was,but he didnt...that says it all really.

at one point i used to hold on to him and plead with him not to go to work,i was scared of being left on my own.

it was only councelling that got me through it.

Susie
I must add my thoughts cos your last post struck a cord with me. I was exactly the same as that after I had my son 5 years ago. I suffered from post natal depression badly and my other half went to hell and back putting up with me, bless him ! I've suffered on and off for the last 5 years and am still on medication at the moment, but thankfully not feeling too bad at the mo !
BIG THANKS to Caz for putting this thread on...there is so much not said about this illness.
Love to all
Marie xx

hi marie

mine also started after i had my first son,hes now 30!!!

i had 3 boys and then i had a girl.
it was after my little girl was born that it got worse.

i was convinced that i wasnt meant to have her,i know it sounds odd,but i thought that i was gonna lose her or that i would die.
i was terified.

no matter how much the drs tried to convinced me that we were both fine,i couldnt get it out of my head.
