Good morning Wafflers Lots to catch up on this morning. First of all - happy birthday dear Tony - have a good one mate. Birthdays and holidays coming all together - you must be really wound up! (Clears throat.........) It's your birthday, it's your birthday And I want to say Many happy, many happy Returns of the day. Tra,la, la boom de ay..... Rebs, hope you're feeling a bit better this morning. Southern Comfort is the best cure. I'm sure it was traipsing around the Riverside markets and riding on the barge on Sunday that did you in. Definitely wasn't Saturday. Congrats to darling daughter! Poor Laurie - I can hear the green green grass of home calling to you loudly. Your extended confinement in Sydney must be worth some very big pay back from the lovely Ray. Get busy on those retail websites girl and put your orders in!!! Devley - Clive Berghofer is the main mover in land development in Toowoomba. He is a self made man - left school at 14 - and was our mayor for a period. He is very down to earth and has done an enormous amount of good in the community. Worth an absolute fortune but he has developed land within the price range of the average couple. He has donated so much money to local organizations and even individuals who need medical treatment etc. My daughter Katherine wanted an empty house to do her short film in recently so she rang his office and he was happy to help her out. There are people who like to knock him - tall poppy syndrome I think - but I think he's one of the good guys. Morning Trifley - hope the voice has recovered. Sock it to 'em girl! 'I'm having a hot flash A tropical hot flash My personal summer is really a bummer I'm having a hot flash. Comes on like a car crash No warning just hot flash Outside it is nippy, but I'm hot and drippy I'm having a hot flash' Glad you're back safe and sound Lew - not sure about Mudgee as I wouldn't travel down there without Chris and somehow we have to organise darling daughter. She will be in Year 12 and there will be a lot going on in her life at that time. However I'm working on it. If we go we'll organise our own accommodation. Waiting for the pics with baited breath! Hi to everyone else - will catch up later as I'm supposed to have something done for writer's group this pm and I haven't finished. Byeeeeee Anna |

Love the sound and idea of your country but really the flying puts me off. I had an Aussie guy live with me for 3 months he worked in my Bar and I loved him and his mates that visited to death. He lives in Sydney and I could go and stay anytime but the flying just puts me off! |

Morning Laurie, Rebs, Anna & Donna and welcome to Flutters and Mags. I'm in Mudgee, NSW which is in the Central Tablelands, about 260km (3.5 hours) north west of Sydney. I, of course, I one of the sanest on this thread and often to have hand out a various array of medication to keep this lot under control, lol. If you feel you require my assistance, please don't hesitate to ask Dr Lew, Professor of Psychiatric Medicine. (bulk billing a speciality)! |
