But you did what you had to do and i reckon those police were a bit too zealous. if it comes to court i would plead extenuating circumstances. i bet you would get let off. Shirley |

Steve hun Don't beat yourself up over it - I realise the potential consequences - but your main concern was your boy's wellbeing. A xXx |

Steve I do not think you are stupid - you are a good dad looking after your son and under the circumstances get yourself a good solicitor and I am sure you will not loose your licence. The police do not get a brownie point off me! Glad your son is ok and hope he will be home very soon. Take care Love Mary xxx |

Steve, I would not have thought either and just rushed off to the hospital....but thanks for pointing this out to us as we could all be in this position some time, although sorry you had to suffer the consquences..... Do you think that the circumstances will help at all considering you were rushing to a hospital, or will they not take that into consideration? I am very glad that your son is ok and that is the main thing hey... Salxx |

Pleased that he is out of danger. Don't you think that, even if you had remembered the cans your first thought would have been to get him to hospital. Very unfortunate that the police should have been there and, after they caught your breath I suppose they had to breathalize you. Let's hope that the court will accept extenuating circumstances. Good luck, and in answer to your heading, no you are not stupid. Ann Glos |

Steve....i would never call you stupid..you did what every parent would do in an energency situation....your priority at that time was your son..and every concerned parent would of done the same thing as you did..without thinking how many cans they had the night before...glad to see you got your son to the hospital safely and he's doing well. But the most inportant thing you need to be thinking about now is..your son..you say that he's never had a bad asthma attack like this one before..then you need to be discussing with the doctor the best inhalors to take to prevent this from ever occuring again...obviosly your son is showing signes that his asthma is getting worse..so prevention is better than cure...monitering your son's progress is most inportant also..their are lots of preventative inhalers that really do help...believe me steve my daughter grew up being a chronic asthmatic spent most of her childhood in and out of hospitals...not very nice for a parent to experience...when your child as difficulty in breathing...and by the way steve i think you did the right thing...even thow you may of broken the law in doing so. Hope your son makes a full recovery..and comes home soon. Take care all......Gwyn xx |
