Yes but the difficulty I have is knowing when to stop eating it. I asked OH to hide a half packet on Sunday, then insisted he told me where he had hidden it a couple of hours later. How much do you eat in one go?

Enough to make me feel ill.

It varies, sometimes just a piece or two but I have just received a selection so I had to try them all out.

I do have a big problem with punnets of fruit. Can't open one without I finish it at one go. Bought a bag of prepared carrots once at a Tesco filling station shop where it was in the reduced bin. They meant for tea and they would have been had they made it home!

Nolls, let us know how you get on. I haven't tried it myself, in fact I didn't know a cooked version existed until I had a look to see if the book told me what the wartime almond substitute was.

It didn't of course as it was published in 1935!! :-) :-) :-)
