Nolls, let us know how you get on. I haven't tried it myself, in fact I didn't know a cooked version existed until I had a look to see if the book told me what the wartime almond substitute was.

It didn't of course as it was published in 1935!! :-) :-) :-)

Lol. I am usually very good just my liquorice is my downfall. ;-)

Enough to make me feel ill.

It varies, sometimes just a piece or two but I have just received a selection so I had to try them all out.

I do have a big problem with punnets of fruit. Can't open one without I finish it at one go. Bought a bag of prepared carrots once at a Tesco filling station shop where it was in the reduced bin. They meant for tea and they would have been had they made it home!

Yes but the difficulty I have is knowing when to stop eating it. I asked OH to hide a half packet on Sunday, then insisted he told me where he had hidden it a couple of hours later. How much do you eat in one go?

Sharron

Sharron Report 7 Aug 2013 14:05

Most of it is sugar free and we all know what sugar free sweets are like. It is liquorice and we all know what liquorice is like as well, don't we?
