Amokavid. I did not know that,, I drink organic liquorice tea, it is supposed to be very good for protecting the stomach and aid digestion. I guess it depends on how much you eat / drink.

Marzipan.

I don't mind if it's covered in chocolate, I don't care if it's coloured strange colours, or cut into weird shapes, and I really don't mind whether or not it's with cake. I will eat it.
I <3 marzipan
:-D

I think my taste buds have changed as I get older. I used to hate Marzipan when I was a child and always picked it off the cakes, I love it now eat the Marzipan and give OH the cake.

Nolls from Harrogate Report 3 Aug 2013 16:24

As a Marzipanie I remember my mum during the war making marzipan potatoes. For some reason marzipan was much esier to get than most things can remember it being the shop in a great big round just like cheese , but what her recipe was I don't know it wasn't just marzipan rolled in cocoa and sugar so if anyone has the recipe please send

eugh too sweet for me.

I do like chocolate but don't buy it for myself as I'd eat it all and put on weight. But like crisps, especially pringles. I have to ration them out or I'd eat the packet!!!

Chocolate for me, almost any kind will do but have my favourites, mostly of the more expensive kind lol

We had a huge jar of pickled beetroot o.h.'s dad did and gave us, but I only like plain beetroot, and o.h. has gone off the pickled stuff so after he opened it, it just sits in the fridge. If only it was postable!

We will be in Yorkshire/Licolnshire next week for a few days and I mentioned Pontefract to o.h., he had never heard of Pontefract cakes but says he likes liquorice. I have never seen him eat it but if he says so...... Will have to make sure he doesn't make a pig of himself if he buys some.

I hadn't heard of Pontefract cakes until somebody mentioned it on GR a few months back. I happened to see a lot of British sweets in a shop just afterwards and was able to buy some Pontefract cakes. I didn't think they were any better than ordinary liquorice, which I love. I also love Turkish delight and marshmallows, but I have gone off ultra sweet things over the last 3 or 4 years. I did buy a cake of white Raspberry chocolate yesterday, as I wanted to try it. I have eaten almost half of it (a 250 gm. cake) but it really is too sweet so I am taking the rest into the shop tomorrow to see if some of our volunteers would eat it for me.

Yesterday went we shopping. ......
(I was born to do it) we saw an old fashioned sweet shop.
All the old favourites, I was not tempted but had to drag OH out he was getting rather carried away. He loves Turkish Delight.
