Good afternoon All,

Wwas whisked out of bed this morning by OH to go to the garden center. He wanted some more flexy pipe to fix up a pond vac on the pump as all the sawdust was in the water. Bought his bits and pieces and then told me to choose more fish. Said I could have 12 goldfish and shubukins and 6 small Kio. So I did just that. He also bought me the yellow waterlilly I wanted with the marbled leaves.

Mum was still in bad asleep when we left so I left her a HUGE note saying where we were. I also bought another three wind spinners to hang on the trellis thing outside the back door. I am fascinated by them!!!!

We had a robin come to the back door patio as we were floating the new fish on the tank. So I went in to get him some sunflower kernals and brown bread. He has an injured leg as he won't put it on the ground but hops everywhere. Now I wonder what he has done to it???? He comes and looks at me as much as to say "anything on the go mum?"

Bought a small piece of boiling bacon for dinner tonight with new pots and cauliflower cheese.

Nice to see Sheila is still popping in for a chat!

Hi Sheila.......glad you like it here, we are all very friendly. You are not far from me in Brum then, I'm on the edge of Leicester. I sometimes go to Brum on the train, especially when OH used to go to meetings there. I enjoy the Imax at MIllenium Point and have been to the theatre to see Scrooge there I think. When I worked we used to have a few training courses there to, near New St station. I like the way they have done the bullring, but I used to love the rag market years ago, they used to have fabulous materials.

Lucky you working for Mr Titchmarsh..........I read his biography and in photos of him at Kew as a young man he was VERY handsome!! lol I would have been smitten!! I last saw him at a Garden Live Show at the NEC. He always seems modest and natural.....I like him.

Mel, your pond will be very interesting with all those fish and the waterlily......I've never seen one with marbled leaves, and only a step or two from the bungalow......lovely.

Jane, I HATE housework at the best of times, but this weather is so draining. I did all the floors a few days ago wearing next to nothing and slurping iced water. lol I must remember we now have a window cleaner and be careful to note when he is due!! I could put him off his breakfast. lol

I bet Mandy is having a lovely time by the sea. There is usually a bit of breeze and some tasty fish and chips to look forward to.

Shirl ,I will send you my address in a while. You are having the same weather as us again. It is so draining.I fell asleep on the settee and OH went for a shower and then fell asleep on the bed.Chester is driving me bonkers.I have cooked a chicken which is on the top cooling and all I can hear is this high pitched whining and panting. But he has had all he's getting.

Blasted rabbits have now polished off a lot of my geraniums!!!!.Not the ones in the pots, the ones in the beds. How dare they.

We've had a little rain this afternoon on and off. We put the fish in the new pond today and have been watching them! They are time wasters............ but it is nice to see them exploring their new surroundings after being in that water tank for a couple of weeks. OH has fitted them up with a huge pump and filter and a scimmer to take the stuff off the top of the water. It has been quite windy here today too so we had to sweep up all the sawdust that was around.

Bought three walnut whips in the garden center today. One each, must be good.

Jane give Janice my love tomorrow please. xx

Frank have a lovely day with your family.

Sheila I live in north Devon not far from the coast. It's about 12 miles to Bideford and Westward Ho is a little further on. Then there is Instow opposit Bideford on the estury.
