Went out for a carvery lunch, agreed no desert.......till we saw the delicious trifle!!!!!!

Tiny bit more fence to paint so we went on to B*Q to get some and some tops for the fence posts. They were playing some song about angel of the centrefold. OH sniggered and said 'that's you, you're my angel of the centrefold.....plus page 8...and 9' !!!!! What I have to put up with!!! Then in the carpark I saw a little girl in a cycle seat and said to him how much better the seats were than those metal slatted ones we rode in on our mother's bikes. They gave us stripey thighs where the slats dug in. OH said, 'ah, I'll have to get one for my bike so you can ride in it..............I've always wanted to do wheelies!!!!! Cheek or what!!! I think I'll send him back to work. lol

Was the whitener called Whites Shirl? I used to love painting it on my roller skating boots too. They looked lovely after and I felt like the bees knees in them. lol I hope the pebbles look good in their frame......I must do one for the bathroom.

Frank, OH often asks me to do the fiddly wiring jobs here......he has a handful of thumbs at times. lol You be careful won't you.....spiky hair may not suit you!!

It's gone very quiet here........bet OH is asleep after the pint with his lunch......will go and see. BBL

A mercy killing has taken place .I got a chap from down the Rd to come and kill the sick rabbit. He has taken it away too.I was stood up near the house with my back to the garden and my fingers in my ears while he rung it's neck or whatever he did.
I thought great I won't need to look out for it anymore, and what happens when I watered one of the flower beds .......another sick one !!!!!! Still sprightly but the eyes are bad.Eric said he doesn't mind me ringing him again if I need to.But OMG can he talk lol.I didn't think he was ever going to go.

Jane we have a window cleaner like that. You dare not say anything to him otherwise you are stuck for ages with his complaints and whatever.

Everyone hides when he comes and leave me to deal with him.

I reckon all the sick and dying know you were a nurse Jane and thats why they end up at your house!

Just having a cuppa after peeling the pots. Pork chops tonight.

Have'nt got motivated at all today. Should go and do some ironing as I have piles and piles. Clean clothes for OH every day as he gets himself soooo dirty working on this pond. Nice weather so washing every day but not doing any ironing!!! Uti room full.

OH was asleep.....he's in the bath now. I must say I was very tired yesterday and was in bed by 7.00pm. I thought it may be hayfever as my eyes were bloodshot and itchy. Can't cope with summer.

That's good the bunny is out of it's misery Jane. Well done Eric for not being as squeamish as us. It looks like there is an outbreak near you. The bunnies in the back field here seem very active so I think they are ok for now. Such a horrible disease.

Jane

Jane Report 7 Jul 2010 18:17

I can cope if is people who are sick Mel ,just not animals.I'm not saying I could wring someones neck though lolol
Eric thinks the dry weather has brought all the rabbits out and also think the Myx will spread quite quickly .I will be a flipping wreck !!

Jane

Jane Report 7 Jul 2010 18:19

We've just had a good tidy up in front of the shed , hubby has lots of his building stuff in front of the shed and things just get put anywhere ,its a builders yard down there !!!
We had some big spots of rain this afternoon ,but again not enough to really wet the ground

Poor little rabbit ,was it a female ,she might have little babies !!

Jane Report 7 Jul 2010 19:59

Mandy we have young ones too so it could have been mummy. It was in a sorry state, and I could see how badly it was breathing.Nature can be awful sometimes.I was so pleased Eric didn't bring his gun!.He does shoot with his working dog,but I don't like to think about what he shoots.
He did say he has a fox that visits his garden every night and it gets a fair number of rabbits.
OH late in tonight ..not a happy bunny (pardon the pun).Difficult day at work I think.
Hannah has her interview in London tomorrow so she is off really early in the morning.

Hello to all my very dear friends. Although I haven't been able to get on line it has been a great support and comfort to know you have all been thinking of me at this very sad time. I now have to move on and get back to normal. I will miss my mum so much but take comfort in the knowledge that she wasn't in pain and was at a point where she wanted to go. The weather was fine on Monday and we had a good party in my garden with family and friends.

I have been trying to catch up with your threads and see life goes on as usual, Jane and Mandy's dogs being sick, Frank being as cheeky as ever, thank you Frank for all your e.mail jokes, just what I needed, Shirl keeping him in check !!!!! Ann, how are your Sweet Peas, mine haven't done very much yet.

Look forward to chatting every day. xxxxx

Yes welcome back Maureen ,

Toby's better now ,serves him right for pinching a piece of lamb that hubby dropped when he was cooking on the barbeque .

I tried growing Sweet peas last year, they started off well then they just stopped growing ,i had a few flowers but the stalks were very short .
My beans are coming on ,there's little beans about two inches long now .

Hope Hannah's interview goes well for her tomorrow Jane .

Annx Report 7 Jul 2010 21:24

Hello Maureen, lovely to have you back. XX My sweet peas I bought are .............pathetic!!!! lol They have done the worst of any I have ever had. lol They are in a pot with a wigwam and can't even be bothered to climb yet despite lots of water and feed. They are feebly lolling around on the soil. lol

I have now put slug bait out where my beans are and sprayed them, but all the flowers apart from a few are on the ground. Big sprays of stalk are what is mostly left and a few tiny beans. Sighhhh.......Frank is going to be eating his while I am still waiting again!
