Island good to see you back. Weather here is a bit better, still damp but some sun. I hate the dark days of November as well. Pity your cardigan doesn’t fit properly frustratingbto have wasted time.nthiscwould be where I gave up.
Again thank you all for thinking of us. He did phone this morning and glad managed to walk down the ward with physios and zimmer but said he still felt wobbly. He was quite chirpy told me not to worry and he would phone later. I assume that is if he doesn’t fall asleep.
I went for a 1.5 mile walk before lunch. Took some books to the stall then went for a walk round the park and through the little copse, it made a change but was a bit chilly. I also had the Tesco delivery and that was early. And when I got back from my walk I cleared out the runner beans. So that is a bit more done.

Quite bright outside today for a change and the birdies were enjoying the scraps of seeded bread I put out earlier.
I'm so sorry there doesn't seem to be light at the end of the tunnel for T at the moment AnnG. Has he had the results of all the scans now? Keep strong as something is causing his problems, so surely they should be able to find out what it is. I feel so sorry for you both to be in this predicament. As you say, his golf friends must be very shocked with him being so well a few months ago. It must be so frustrating not to be able to see how he is with your own eyes or to be able to ask what they plan to do next. <3 Edit....I see you went for a nice walk and got the beans sorted which is another job done.
Hubby's back seems a lot better today thanks Vera. He was diagnosed with Meralgia Paresthetica a few years ago which is nerves going through the pelvis pinching. It causes numbness and tingling and electric shocklike pains in the thighs, but a bit worryingly the numbness has been affecting his arms and hands at times the past few months too. That and pain in the side of his neck lately ..... he didn't need a painful back as well! He's managed to put the boxes and crates out for the shopping drop though. I think we are all beginning to fall apart recently.
I love the picture you paint of EOS on her broomstick, complete with stripey stockings! :-D It has never entered my head that anyone would buy anything I've painted, but maybe they would if I keep improving! I'm really glad I'm doing these courses as I'm finding the teaching a big help. I might even pluck up courage to join a painting group once we are all vaccinated. There is one that is held where I used to go to the craft class and I went to one of their annual exhibitions there and met the chap who runs it and he asked me to join them then.
Island I've never done so many paintings since I started these courses! I hardly managed 2 a year before. I was pleased the effect worked out with the last one but I never know when one is finished and it is tempting to do some more and possibly ruin something! lol. That is a good idea to date and file them, as we always think we will remember and then don't. The teacher got us to get a scrap book to keep examples in of how to do things so I could keep things in there as they are all half A4 size up to now and would fit. Sorry your cardie knitting was too tight at the bottom. I find it hard to pick up again if I have a long break from it, especially if I've made alterations to the pattern or size of needles.
Had to break off for the food drop, but it is all wiped and put away. 12 substitutes and 1 out of stock. Then an Amazon delivery came. Just what someone has said before happened this time, just banged on the door (there is a doorbell) left it on the doorstep and had vanished by the time I got to the door. :-S

AnnG have you tried contacting PALS (Patient Advice and Liaison Service) at the hospital your OH is in? I emailed them last year, they acted quickly with a good result.
Annx, I really miss my art groups and local exhibitions :-(
I'll persevere with my cardi but the problem is. I only have long pins in a bigger size and they jab my arms because of the way I hold them. I prefer to use wires but to and forth not circular.
I hope I haven't missed anyone while I've been distracted by the dog while typing this.

Island no I haven’t felt the need what were you thinking I should contact them about? I do think the hospital are doing all they can I think he must present them with a complex selection of symptoms.

Sorry AnnG I thought you were concerned that his back and head pain weren't being addressed and PALS might ask some questions to let you know. I do hope things are easier for you both soon <3

Dear All
Hello
Hope you all have a good week.
Travel safely, ask questions and get the answers you need. (All done in a gentle way, of course!)
As for my stripey stockings, maybe I could try suspenders with them. :-S The garter would fall down! :-D
Take gentle care Love Elizabeth, EOS xx

Good morning all. A freezing fog out there.
Hope you have fog lights on that broomstick Elizabeth
Hope everyone had a good night. I kept waking up but went back to sleep without a problem.
Annx yes it is frustrating not to be able to see him, Before he went in I could not believe how he had aged in front of my eyes from somebody fit and strong and loving his garden (even when he first had the bad back) to a little old man just lying in bed unable to move. Pain does that of course, I am sure he must look even worse now. Thankfully his voice is mostly strong on the phone but I really think he is fading away which is so sad. A real lesson to treasure every moment you all have together. I am so pleased that we always did that and enjoyed each other's company. So many memories to cherish but at the moment they only bring pain.

Morning all ,
Happy Birthday Gill ,have a lovely day <3
AnnG keep your chin up he's being looked after, if only they could find out what is causing the back pain then he could get to his feet again and gain his strength again.
Lovely sunny morning here now after a sharp frost again ,bit chilly out though.

My leccy toothbrush is throwoing a wobbly again and won't charge and I think its time I had a new one so MORE EXPENSE as our Frank would say.
Hope you all slept well and have the sunshine this morning too.

Wonder what today will bring after the weekend when nothing much ever seems to get done. Lets wait and see. My prayers are with you and him. x

T did phone early on and said they were making him sit out in the chair where he was cold and he wanted to get back in bed and sleep. He said he was going to be in there for at least another week but I don't know where the info came from. I had ordered a new charger for his phone for him and he wants that sent in so somebody is going to take it this afternoon.
I also had somebody on the phone saying that today they are delivering a raised toilet seat.
It is a pleasant day out there. The sun is shining but it is only 7 degrees.
Thanks again for all your thoughts, it helps to have your support.
I have just dusted upstairs and hoovered and dusted the lounge.

Thanks for the e-card AnnG, I've just watched it with Sandra and OH and couldn't stop laughing. :-D
The posts just arrived, thank you Mandy for your card, I love it.
Thanks everyone for my birthday wishes.
I've nothing planed for today as we're in lockdown so nowhere's open unless it's a pub with food and they are to crowded to take a chance going there. OH is working nights tonight so will be in bed later as it's his first night shift for this week. I've just been listening to the CD and found there was another song on there from the 80's I haven't got so I'm chuffed now.
I hope something's sorted for your OH AnnG and he get's back into bed where it's warm so he can have a sleep.

Its usually quite hot in hospital wards. You did say he felt the cold anyway did'nt you Anng?
Wonder what Ann is up to today? Bet she's painting.
Still sunny here but not very warm with it. 12 degrees outside and 15 in.
Sending love and wishes to Frank and hope he's feeling better with those painful ribs.
Gill you won't be getting my card yet as I have just found it down the side of the car seat. Forgot to post it as it had slipped off the seat, sorry.

It’s still sunny here as well Mel but only 9 degrees and the temperature is supposed to drop in the next hour or two. Nice and warm indoors though :-)
I’ve got a Sainsbury delivery this afternoon. It's not too big an order as I have Tesco on Sunday so wipe down shouldn’t take too long. I wanted milk and fresh veg and ingredients for a lighter Christmas cake I thought I’d make plus a couple of cleaning bits and pieces. As delivery is only £1 it was worth just getting a smallish order in.
We’ve just heard that our new sofa is coming on Wednesday. At last! It will have to go in the dining bit of the kitchen-diner for a few days as all the furniture has to come out of the lounge this weekend for the new floor to be laid.
I hope your ribs are less painful now Frank and you haven’t taken any more tumbles.
I think we do feel the cold more as we get older AnnG and if OH is weakened from pain and not eating well he could well feel chilled. I’m sure they’ll keep a good eye on him. Make sure you eat well yourself and rest when you can as you will need to stay strong.
