Thats a worry Frank. Mum had that years ago and the person said she was me!!! with a chinese accent.
Had lunch and just have to wash up and I am going in the garden after that.
A tip for those whose toms are not ripening I keep meaning to say this. Put an apple in the greenhouse or banana skin under the plants as these give off etherlene gas which will ripen the fruit.
Gill if you are not getting any pollination on your toms get a soft paintbrush and poke it up the flowers or spray them with a fine water spray. Mine seem to have stopped getting the flowers pollinated lately but I hav'nt seen many flies or bees about in the shed and I have the top of the door open every day.

Frank you didn't say what the doctor said. I would have thought they would be looking at maybe anaemic or a urine infection or something like that. Or it could be caused by your medication of course.
I have just been for a walk (1 mile exactly according to my vivofit) I walked out of the estate, along the main road, through the next estate, across the park (lots of teenagers around in non socially distancing groups, to the free book stall and back through the estate. OH has gone to the driving range. Ah he is just back.

Afternoon All,
Frank that sounds like a SCAM call to me. I would never answer any questions. I would ring my bank on a number I know is theirs and ask them about the call and if there was any suspected fraud on my account. If you answered any security questions I would ring your bank now to be on the safe side. They pretend to be your bank these days and you don't want your bank account emptied.

I agree Frank, my mum had a scam call the other day so went to the bank itself rather than calling them, she was luckily and nothing had been taken out, she got suspicious when they mentioned £600 as she new she didn't have that amount in the account. Unfortunately she did press one when they mentioned the option of opting out. When she told me I said don't even press any numbers as that's what they want you to do for what ever reason of their own, but the bank said everything was alright, so she was lucky, this isn't the first time something like this has happened. Apparently they have what's called a "Suckers List" if you engage in what they are saying, then your number is passed onto other scammers. I hope everything turns out to be okay for you, but do take care and never give out your details on the phone, it's not worth it, do as Ann said and ring the bank on a number you know is theirs.
Thanks Mel for the advice on my toms, I'll give them a tickle tomorrow LOL
It's OH's birthday tomorrow so I'm going to bake him a cake in the morning, if I make it today, he'll eat it before his special day.

Oh dear Frank, These phone calls can be worrying as it’s hard to tell if they are genuine or not. The bank do ask some security questions so they are sure they are talking to the right person but will never ask for account or PIN numbers. If we get any calls we are not sure about we always say we will ring them back shortly and then use the phone number we know and use a different phone. I hope everything is OK for you. What did the doctor tell you? You never did say.
Love your hair photos, Ann 1 and 2. I also have short grey hair and glasses so we could be triplets lol. Well, perhaps not, as I am 5’8” so would tower over you. I wish I could have a fringe like you as it sort of softens the face but my forehead is so low that I look awful with a fringe.
I am glad your Tesco expedition was fine Ann. I shall have to take the plunge soon. So far I’ve only ventured into the little local Co-op which is never busy but I want to start choosing my own veg and fruit again. It was my turn to be wiping down this afternoon as I had a Tesco delivery. Nothing missing and no substitutions so I was well pleased.
It’s been a nothing sort of day here. Dry and warmish but grey and overcast. I had hoped to get in the garden but we spent the morning sorting out our quiz for Sunday and I spent the afternoon on phone calls and wiping down.
Well, if we are going to eat tonight I had better move myself. I feel a bit light-headed as I have just had a very large glass of wine on a very empty stomach so I think I had better eat soon :-)

Good point about using another phone Vera as they are sometimes still on the line aren't they. OH used to answer with a pretend name until the chap rang him back a few days later using the same pretend name himself! These scammers belong to criminal gangs and pass names around like Gill says, so you could end up bombarded with calls. We had one today that I didn't even answer. When I googled the number and checked it said it was from India!
Yes what did the doc say Frank? You sound just about at the end of your tether you poor thing. It could be something simple like the others suggest. Could Ros perhaps speak to the doctor as well. You can't carry on feeling as you do.
What is Cow Mumble Mel? I have never heard the name before. Before I forget, your card arrived this afternoon with the seeds inside. I wiped the envelope down so I could open it and the lovely bunny is with the other cards now. Thank you for the seeds which look fine and I shall plant them tomorrow. :-D I think a ripe tomato among green ones is supposed to help ripen them too.
We had just the first few of our purple french beans today and they were nice. I think OH may have done a double take had they not turned green with cooking. The cucumbers have an open flower at last instead of them withering and dropping so maybe the extra feeding is helping.
No comet sighting here Gill....too cloudy. We need some hosing here as it is so dry. The flying ants were in the greenhouse earlier and I thought I had killed them with the ant powder.
I still haven't been in any shops since March, but noticed there are no queues at the local Co-op now or at Aldi when we collected OH's tablets from the chemist. I see they are keeping the lockdown on in the city but only in a couple of places in the county. A friend who lives alone in a flat in the county is in one of the areas so she will be fed up to still be so restricted after 4 months. At least more businesses will be able to open now.
OH was envying my shorn locks today so I cut his hair and he trimmed his beard so we are both ticketty boo now!
I have just finished doing my Asda order. Even doing that is a pain! :-S
I hope Jane isn't getting too many ill effects from the chemo and will be able to post again soon.

I am so pleasd the card arrived. Did it look tampered with at all?? I only ask because I put two little bulbs in with it?? I thought the picture on the card was a hare!! Thought you may lik eto have a go at copying it it was sweet was'nt it I have had that card for a long while waiting for your birthday. I usually buy my cards in the local shop but not being aloud in there anymore I must have had it earlier than lockdown and maybe even last year as I buy the ones I like with people in mind. I wonder if Jane has had her card now too. Both were posted together.

Yes it's turning into a nice day here too. OH is weeding the back garden, we are having a lunch/brekkie today to make a change and I have put the tomatoes, mushrooms and bacon are in trays in the oven and nearly ready. I have a nice little platform to look out over the field now. It would have been good to watch over the field the other day when a man and his dog were running this way and that and then the young cattle came thundering through a gap in the hedge! I just need to fill some gaps with chippings and put some plants in and it will look much better..
Interesting name for the Cow Parsley Mel. I must slip it into conversation with OH and watch his reaction!
A nice day for golf for your OH AnnG and good idea to do a card while he is out.
I wonder how Frank is today and whether he feels any better.

Hair cut this morning!! Absolutely brilliant! The ladies were very pleased to be back. The price had gone up £2, which can't be bad, very well set up, so all in all a great success! We're off to early tomorrow, back late Sunday! The weather should be pretty good,so hopefully a happy family visit. We're always very very wary of Bank phone calls! We always tell them that we will get back to them (on our mobile/different phone) for any conversation! It hardly ever happens so is worth the extra expense!

Afternoon all, Not feeling very good. I got up this morning feeling fine, had my shower, and COT. Put on some shorts, and short sleeved shirt, sat in the garden and read by book for a while, then came over feeling bit funny. Came in doors, and decided to lay on the bed. I closed my eyes and the room started to spin. Up I got and sat in the chair.
Ros got me some toast and a coffee, I could only manage one slice of toast, and half cup of coffee. Now feeling as though I could be sick at anytime. I have a bucket beside me as I sit here.
It's a nice day here also. Ros has collected the higher dose tablet, that the doctor said I should take, I think it is for my depression. So will see how that feels when it kicks in. I have to take it at night.
I did check with my bank, and they confirmed they are getting a lot a suspect fraud on peoples accounts. So that put my mind at rest. It makes you think, that the old days were better. My mum would collect her pension, put all the different amount needed for bills into little box;s marked with which was which, and the rest she had to spend on food etc. She never had a bank account.
What are you all up to today, with this weather I expect you are enjoying the sunshine. Don't over do things, if you are gardening. Talking of which. Both my lawns need another cut. Barry only did them last Friday, and won't be here until next Friday. I am thinking of ringing Lewis, to ask him if he would like to earn a few quid, and come and do them for me, over the weekend.
Ros is taking over all kitchen duties, while I am feeling like I am. So not sure what we will be eating tonight, until it appears. !!!!
Going to try to rest for an hour in the armchair. So hope to pop back later. xxxx

Fed the clematis and toms.
When I shut the shed last night I thought I heard a bird in there. Could'nt see it so shut it up. When I went in to feed the toms on the end window was lots of bird dribble and all over the table at the end where the blueberries are was lots of big poos and it had knocked my fairy sign off the windowsill and I had'nt stuck it to anything yet so it was all bit of twig which were spread all over the place but I did find them all.

Hi all sorry for the silence. I've been sewing - masks - ugh. Didn't enjoy making them but neccessary evil LOL Now to get back to arty sewing :-D Must give the craft room a tidy first though and clear the table.
It's beautiful drying weather here today - should have put some washing out!
We have quite a few runner beans 'up to eating size' now after the few we enjoyed last week. No flowers on the cue plants yet and toms not turning red yet - come on sunshine!
Frank, do you think you might have vertigo? I hope Jane is rallying from her chemo and up to some fresh air.
Must away to the garden >>>>>>> Enjoy your day all

Have you got a BP/heart rate monitor Frank? I'm sure you probably have, they're really useful for keeping an eye on both! I have to be firm with myself sometimes as checking can become a bit obsessive !! We're sitting out this afternoon enjoying the better weather, makes a nice change.

Afternoon all
It was pretty grey this morning but hot and muggy. Sun’s out now.
I spent the morning in the garden. It doesn’t look a lot different but I’ve cut out a lot of dead stuff, deadheaded most of the flowers and taken a few cuttings. Oh yes, and I disturbed an ants’ nest. There seemed to be millions of ants everywhere and I still feel itchy just thinking about them.
I need to make more masks as well Island but I hate sewing. We’ve got a really good quality professionally made one each and I sewed a couple of pleated ones, made from a sheet but we could do with more. I don’t want to find I can’t go out because all the masks are in the wash.
Sorry to hear that you’re not too good today Frank. Hope you are feeling better already.
Have a lovely overnight stay with your family, fg. I bet you can’t wait to see them again.
I don’t have nearly as many tomatoes as last year and mine aren’t turning red either. Looks like green tomato chutney for all of us this year.
Did you enjoy your brunch Ann? OH and I seldom have breakfast together as he likes to get up, breakfast immediately, and get on with his day. I like to have a cuppa first thing but I like to be up an hour or two before eating anything. Sometimes I wonder how we’ve managed to stay married for 57 years as we are completely incompatible ;-)
I hope you’re doing OK Jane and are able to enjoy your garden or go for a drive around. Sending love <3
Well, this won’t buy the baby a new bonnet, so I’d better get on.

How many masks did you make Island? I think we need a few more and was looking at those you make from the HEPA hoover bags that filter the air really well. You couldn't wash them though so it would be a lot of work to chuck away after one use. I read somewhere that a folded tissue over your nose bridge under the mask halps stop glasses steaming up. I will try it next time.
Mel I counted 10 toms ripening and just 1 runner only half an inch long this morning! The cues have 2 open flowers now so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I planted out the 2 pattypan squashes this morning too so it will be a bit cramped when they all grow! It is a Hare on your card isn't it. He had quite a round face that made me think 'bunny'. I had another card arrive today, so I think the post is all over the place just now.
Frank you don't sound right at all. We keep our own BP monitor like Mel and it is a good idea if you don't have one as you can check your own to see if that is why you are dizzy. Check you med instructions and see if any cause overheating too. It may be a bug or your meds, but the virus can cause feverishness and overheating too. Ring the doc if you don't start to feel better soon and just leave things to Ros today. You don't want to fall over with this dizziness.
I had a nice surprise today as the city newspaper have printed a full page spread of some of my photos! It's been a good birthday week with Terry singing Happy Birthday at the start and now some photos in print to round the week off! :-D
