Vera she's in a lot of musical with the others on the videos. They are all special needs children.
Ann I can add things to my order up to 12am the night before but the problem I had was I paid for it cos he told me to. If I had'nt I could have still put things on until Monday night for Tuesday delivery. I know where it went wrong and may ring Asda tomorrow as I don't really want to wait two weeks for the next shop.
I do hope the quiz went off as expected and they all had a good laugh. Hannah comes up with some great ideas dos'nt she?
Went back out in the garden and tidyed a bit more and got rid of a stinging nettle on the side of the steps we go down to the garden. It had planted itself in a pot I HAD LILLies in but they had died so it was nice and easy to pull up.
Then I had a fire and burnt up all the garden rubbish and sticks that had fallen off the old ash tree so thats all gone now.
Nice to hear from Elilzabeth and hope she had a nice Easter too. <3
Gill I don't know what to do about Sandra's birthday things???? I can send you a card but not sure about the little pressies I have for her.

Morning all,
Sun's trying to break through the cloud but it's a lot cooler out today with quite a wind blowing. Just put two loads of washing on the line so that's getting a good blow and I have some more in the wash I don't know where it all comes from with just the two of us .
Mel sorry I meant to say how lovely the little clip was of them all dancing and passing it on ,they all looked like they were having fun doing it . I meant to say the other day on our local news there was a clip like that of people passing on a toilet roll it was quite funny as it started off where the telly reporter went into the loo and had run out of loo roll so people started passing one on until it got back to him and you saw him dissappear into the loo with it at the end of the clip , it was quite clever how it was done.
We've nothing planned for today don't think we'll be out in the garden ,to cold today ,Colin is just sorting a new jigsaw for us to start ,it's a box with four puzzles each one is the same picture but going through the seasons we've done Bonfire night and the Snowy winter one we're now going to do May Day and then there's Summer fete to do so it should keep us occupied for a few days .
Jane how did the quiz go ? Better make a coffee now keep him happy .

Morning all,
We have sunshine but a cold wind today which is quite strong.
Hope you all had a good nights sleep.
Oh managed to get our order amended this morning so I have been adding to it and hopefully I have most things on the list I ordered for tomorrows delivery.
I shall be out in the garden today doing a bit more as with a garden this size you don't really see what you have done but i am doing the bit of rocky outside the kitchen window. The pheasents tread all over this bit and the ground is as hard as iron.

Good morning all. Ann, we have similar weather. There's a cold wind blowing and a full to the top garden bin, so it will be indoor jobs for me today.
Mel, I know what you mean about jigsaws "I'll just see if I can do a bit more of this building / sky / tree etc.", turns into a mammoth session. I get my 'fix' online some days.
https://thejigsawpuzzles.com/
Only do the 100 or 200 piece puzzles usually, but I set myself a target time and see if I can complete within that.

Good afternoon to you all,
Swap around this morning, I was awake at 6.00 am and got up soon after. Ros, slept until 10.00 am. Not like her, so she must have needed the sleep.
Very windy here today, and cold with it. I went to put the bins out, without putting a jacket on, and got quite cold. So have had a nice COFFEE and a Apple turnover, while reading my book.
Harvey (bless him) had arranged a Sainsbury delivery which turned up this morning, almost everything we wanted, and other bits we didn't. I am most grateful to him, how he is helping us through this difficult time. I have told him to keep a record of what he is spending, and will square up with him as and when.
Nothing going on here either today. Somehow I scratched my leg in the night, and made it bleed. So Ros has changed the top sheet AGAIN. She only changed the bedclothes over the weekend. That is in the wash with other whites, and will go on the line like yours Mandy.
Keep safe everybody, and I will speak with you again later. xxxx

Afternoon All,
Still no rain here..........it must have all fallen on the rest of you! lol. It's stayed sunny up to now but, brrrrrr it's cold and breezy!
Mel I was amending my Asda order every few days last time, but as I said the site now says you can only amend once you are within 2 days to your delivery date. That means you can still amend it till 12.00am on the delivery day, the same as before, but not more than 2 days before then any more. I forgot to mention your niece too, she has good rhythm and they all seemed to be enjoying themselves! Oh Vera fancy you having a 'brazen hussy' in your garden!! I must tell OH! I just looked it up and see it has the dark foliage. We are still as dry as a bone here. I hope you got to see Alfie Boe. I have been live streaming too....a boogie woogie player I love and he has been doing 'name that tune' from his music room with his daughter filming.
Gwyn I often do those on line jigsaws from that same site too! I stick to the 100 piece ones and isn't it nice that you can't lose a piece or drop one on the floor. I must have about 4 proper jigsaws that I haven't done yet as well, so they may be coming out if we are at home for a long time yet. :-0
Mandy I often wonder where all the washing comes from too with just 2 of us. At least there's less ironing now we don't go to work.
I'm hoping my seeds come this week as the old ones I planted aren't doing anything. OH has been out chopping down the prunings to get more in the garden bin as they should be collecting it tomorrow. He managed to fry some sliced new potatoes and do scrambled egg with beans and toast this morning with me shouting instructions while I dusted the bedroom. I think it was a bit stressful for both of us but it turned out ok! lol. It didn't start well with him not knowing what to use to fry in! Shows how little he notices in the kitchen.
I was sorry to see that Tim Brooke-Taylor has died from the coronavirus.

Afternoon All
The quiz was great fun yesterday and WE WON :-D :-D Hannah will orgsnise another one soon hopefully. It was just so nice t o see all the family at the same time.
It is blooming cold today. I saw someone with a wooly hat on this morning ,and yesterday everyone was in summer clothes.
Tomorrow is our click and collect from Tesco. Hannah and `Gareth will piick it up and deliver it to us once they have sorted it into theirs and ours.
I must have a look at the jigsaw site.I did nt know about that.I have spent most of today doing Cross Stitch in between washing and drying all the towels.
Left over Roast Beef for dinner with Mash and Spring Greens. I am really low on veg now so hope I get all I ordered tomorrow.
Mandy you asked if it was the neghbours whose bungalow caught fire making all the noisewit hthe bnging and drilling and the loud radio. Yes it was them. They are getting on with it and I think the tiles should be going on before too long.
Must go now as I forgot the tumble dryer has been on for ages !!!

Afternoon all
It's lovely and sunny here so OH and I have done a lot of jobs in the garden. He still hasn't got any symptoms so he's going to ring his boss tomorrow as he doesn't think she'll be in today and let her know he can go back to work, he's not due to work until Friday anyway and that's nights including the weekend, so he'll have only lost two days work and he's worked fours days overtime so hasn't lost any wages, which is good.
We've been re-potting a few plants, there are more to do but we've almost ran out of compost so had to stop. We could also do with some more medium size pots which we can't go out to buy, so everything else that needs re-potting will have to wait for now.
Well done Jane for winning the Quiz, it sounds like you all had a brilliant time. It'll be nice if you could make it a regular thing and you can all have a catch up with each other online afterwards. What a brilliant idea of Hannah's. I hope you get all the veg you ordered, we've been lucky here and have enough in, mind you it's only me that likes it, so we don't need much.
I didn't know you could do jigsaws online, that a good idea, I might take a look when I've finished checking my family tree and sorting out the housework, although I did hoover today, which wasn't on my list of jobs to do, so that was a bonus.
It sounds like you all have cold weather, it's lovely and warm here with the sun, OH is watering the plants now as they are drying out. We've only had one heavy downpour of rain in weeks.....not that I'm complaining lol ;-) ;-)
So you're going through the puzzles by seasons, that'll keep you occupied for a while Mandy.
Sorry you didn't have a good nights sleep last night Frank, I think you're right though and Ros probably did need the sleep, she never stops, so I'm not surprised she was tired.
How are you getting on with your filing and shredding AnnG, hope it's not to long a job.
Don't worry about sending things for Sandra Mel, We've decided to wait and send her birthday presents later when this Coronavirus isn't an issue anymore. I will let her know she hasn't been forgotten though, it sounds like Micheal and Michelle have something planned for her big day so it won't go without recognition and she'll have all her cards to put up as we're sending those. We think they'll be okay in the post.
You can all send things to me if you like and I'll pass them on to her when we send our presents.
Going to make something to eat now we haven't eaten all day and didn't realise how late it was.

Here we are again, HAPPY AS CAN BE. all good friends and jolly good company. Now I really mean that came from nowhere. lol lol
Ros has all her cosmos seeds showing through, and the Runner Beans are a good 4 inches high in the pots. She's been down and watered the greenhouse, as even when there's a chill in the air, it's still VERY WARM in the greenhouse.
Ros has been on about getting a DYSON AIRWAVE. So unbeknown to her I have bought her one on Ebay. It's brand new with all the bits and bobs. That is her EASTER, ANNIVERSARY, and B'day present all in one go. I just hope she will get good use from it.
Yes poor old Tim Brooke-Taylor passing away, also Sir Stirling Moss. One a great entertainer with the GOODIES and the other A great DRIVER.
Stir fry tonight, chicken pieces that Harvey sent in the order, and a good selection of all that goes into a STIR FRY. That came in the delivery as well.
Tomorrow I have some lovely LAMB STEAKS with roasties and veg.
One thing about being isolated, you have plenty of time to think. How are you all coping with this boredom. There is just so much you can do, reading, doing jig saws, and playing on the computer. But still I am getting bored, not seeing anyone, and having a chat. NOBODY IS OUT in the close today.
We did have a phone call this afternoon from Brenda and Barry old next door neighbours before Pam and Denis and Jonathan and Nicola. She said she was just sitting there and thought of us, so rang. They are all fine as are their three little yorkies.
I hope you are all keeping out of trouble, and behaving yourselves. xxxx

Sorry I hav'nt been on much today but its the day my dad died in 1979.
I put the rabbit trap up the garden and caught one today, well thts what I thought till I went up the garden and it was a BIG hedgehog. I let it out and saw it had two big ticks on it so I came down for a dumpy and brought it down the garden and into my shed where I had gloves and tweezers. I found 4 I managed to get off of it heads and all but it had two on the side of its face that I could'nt get at as it kept curling up in a ball so I took it back up the top garden. At least 4 was better than two soit shoudl feel a bit better.
I did do a few puzzles online. I use Jigsaw Planet.

Morning folks,
Sunny here too Mel but the auto greenhouse vent is shut so it's not warm. That hog must feel much better without some of the ticks. They must be more infested these days as there are more ticks...horrid things! Yes I hate all the wiping and putting away too. I was thinking it must be around the time of the anniversary of your dad passing away as I knew it was near my own father's on 28th also in 1979. Such a long time ago now.
OH is doing notes again and has nearly caught up now. After I've checked the seedlings it's clean the bathroom and go through some paperwork and chuck some things away or shred. Lunch is easy, haddock fillets, potatoes for OH with carrots, beans and mushy peas with hollandaise sauce. This afternoon I want to do some craftwork.
The bin men have been for both bins so that is good and we can do more clearing up in the garden now the garden bin is empty.
The new calves have arrived in the field at the bottom but they seem to all be black so we are wondering if they are Istanbul' s offspring!

Ooh Mel, that made me itch, but well done for removing the horrid things. Mind you don't get bitten if you go up near the long grass.
It is a lovely sunny day here but only 7 degrees, a moment ago it was 5 but it has just gone up. OH is out there trying to repair a very rickety internal gate it goed round the side of the house and there is a locked gate the far end behind a water butt. So not really an important gate but just closes off the patio.
Neighbour just came back with our shopping so I have to go and do the disinfecting bit now.
Annx you are lucky still getting your garden bin emptied, many counties inclusing ours have suspended that service for now and our bin is full so we will be filling bags next. Luckily we are ahead witha lot of the clearing up stuff.. I did a load of shredding yesterday, had to stop because there was a bit much. will probably have another go later in the week.
Off to sort the groceries. Only one bag full.

Good morning all,
Nice and sunny but a chill in the air, so won't be sitting out yet.
Ros is ironing, she wants it out of the way, so she can get on with more sewing. She is making masks for Brenda and Barry and her daughter, who lives with them. They are down in Gloucestershire, have been there since they moved from here.
I have rung Jonathan, asking him to return my ROTAVATOR (sp) He borrowed it about a month ago, and I need to tidy up the veg patch beside the Greenhouse, so Ros can plant her seeds, and Runners. Why is it wen people borrow things, IT'S YOU who has to ask for their RETURN. It does annoy me. As yet I haven't heard from him.
How are you all coping with this lockdown. Thank goodness, I have a stock of 5/6 books to read. The woman who has arranged the "SCRUB BAGS" is calling to collect them around mid-day. Carol down the close wanted to collect all the ones Ros has made, I know her GAME. She will want to take ALL THE THANKS, letting the lady think she made them all. We know of her from old. !!!!
|Ros has just bought in a nice cup of coffee, so will sit and enjoy that. STAY SAFE EVERYONE. xxxx

Afternoon my lovelies,
Well would you believe it. Jonathan came round, with the rotavator, and did the VEG patch for Ros. He dug the patch first, then rotavated it. He unearthed a root of potato's which I have put out to dry off and hopefully, they will shoot, and I will put them in as seeds. Ros is now sowing her Runners, which are very sturdy in their pots. I will fed and water them later this evening. As he hasn't finished using the rotavator, he has taken it back with him.
Jonathan said Nichola his wife, who is a head cabin staff with Virgin, have flown to Cape Town to collect stranded Brits Any one of the passengers with a temperature were not allowed to board. The cabin girls had been on the flight out for 13 hours, and had to do the same back. But that didn't stop the Passengers complaining. Every passenger was given a seat, allocated for their Health needs, i.e. Old and week were put in 1st class, Others in upperclass, and the rest in economy. Those in the CHEAP SEATS, complained why they haven't been put in 1st Class. Ungrateful or what. ??
I have been sitting outside reading my book, just come in for a drink, then I shall return to my book, sitting in the sunshine.
No sign of life anywhere outside, even though I have heard VOICES coming from down the close. So there are HUMANS out there somewhere. lol lol
Keep safe, and enjoy this weather. xxxx
