Morning Everyone.
No snow at all here ,just a very hard frost.Bright and sunny at the moment.
Good job everything has arrived early Mel.Nothing worse than having a delivery like that late in the day.It will look great when it is all in place.

Wow Mandy you have had a lot of snow.Are you going to make a snowman then??
I have just had a lovely bacon sarnie.I didn't have it last night after all .and it was delicious.I haven't had one of those for yonks .

Have to do the library first. Only the mobile at the top of our drive. Mums talking boks going back as they did'nt come last time and this is the last time before January.

I hope you don't have to send any damaged things back Mel.It sounds a bit dodgy that box with the big hole in.

Very cold and thick frost here. No snow YET !!!!

Many years ago when I did sea fishing. In the winter I wore a pair of Ros's old thick tights. Thermal vest and long johns. Trousers, jumper, a Canadian snow suit. good to under - 45 degrees. and ros made me a scarf from a big fluffy towel, which wrapped round my neck. If it rained I had a Yellow seamans BIB AND BRACE trousers, and a top with a hood. If for any reason I didn't go on a trip. My mates would argue who was going to borrow my snow suit. I was never cold, even though it was known for our feet to stick to the deck with frost.

Trust everybody is well, and keeping warm. Heard from a friend in the canaries today 24 degrees. They come home just before christmas.

Sunny but very cold here. Googled the weather this morning and we are to have heavy snow showers tonight.

OH has a holl today as he is travelling down to Sunderland to a Christmas meal with his old work mates from the shipyards , he has been doing this for the last 20 years or so. and he is the youngest fella there at 53, He doesn't think it will be much longer and it will stop as every year the numbers get less & less. Hope he gets back and the snow doesn't stop him.

We went shopping to the garden centre and picked up a Christmas fire screen to put round our Christmas tree, it has santa and snowmen and a sliegh on, looks really good

Started my new back class this morning , just the same as the last one but at a slower pace, GREAT!!!!

Mel, your house will look lovely for Christmas this year with all the new furniture. everything new, fresh and clean.

Not good news on the DAD front got a phone call today to say he was going through a really bad time , very angry and shouting and frustrated and the staff are having a hard time to calm him down , they have been trying to get a doctor to come and perscribe other pills so dad can get some peace, he is exauseted and going whats the word DOOLALLY and then when he finally calms down ,he sleeps for hours , awakes then it starts all over again.
Not sure what will happen, Hospital might be the last resort , If they cannot sort him out for his own safety and for the safety of the other residents,

Need to wait till tomorrow now so when HO gets back he can wash my windows they are really scruffy, sun shows up the dirt something bad.

Fiona, Sorry to hear about DAD. Have they no idea whats causing him to be like this, ?? You and I are the only posters this afternoon. Did all our windows yesterday. Glad that job is out the way.

Been down to the chickens again this afternoon, they are all puffed up and sitting in the pen. Their coop is nice and warm and filled with wood shavings. So they will be fine.

Sky looks full of snow. hope it stays away from us. We seem to be lucky in this part of the Country. Looks like they had it bad in Scotland last night.

We have just had quite a blizzard ,you couldn't see down the road ,some of the snow we had this morning had melted away and now its covered everything again !!!

Care Home just phoned doctor been into see dad this afternoon wants him in hospital on Monday for to try different medication , maybe there for 1 to 2 weeks depends what happens, not sure what the outcome will be may not be able to go back to care home , will have to stay in hospital pemantly
not good news , it's awaiting game from now on.

Fiona,It is one of those awful things about Dementia.Some people are the way your Dad is,and yet others can be as calm as anything.For his sake I hope they can give him something,but it may be that he will be 'out of it' if you know what I mean.You know where I am if you need a chat anytime.

Fitz has been here for a couple of hours so that is why I have been quiet lol.Chester LOVES Fitzy because I always give him a few treats to feed him.Chester has now got the hump as I have his bedding in the wash and his bed has no Blanket in lol.

I decided to try and put more seed out for the birds in the feeder.But when I last looked out there were 3 squirrels squabbling over it and it is now on the ground again.So I WILL NOT be hanging it up anymore.
Still no snow ,but things look like they are freezing up.

I'm glad your Chickens are nice and warm Frank.I doubt next doors have the same comfort as yours.Poor little chucks.

Brrrrr......freezing this morning, then turned sunny, but -1 in the car at 3.00pm.

Lovely snowy pics Mandy. I love the very old gravestone in the churchyard. It looks just like a little snowman with eyes!!

Mel, it was lucky you had no snow BEFORE your furniture arrived. I am excited for you with all the changes you are making......can just picture your OH taking the trailer down to the arch, I bet the driver was relieved to see him coming with that. It would be a very long trek carrying heavy boxes!! Was it today you get your xray results or next friday?

You must have been a hardy soul to go sea fishing in those conditions Frank. No wonder your mates wanted your snow suit. OH has bought himself the thickest pair of insulated socks he has ever had today ready for footie tomorrow. His old, much thinner ones are worn out. He is even considering a warmer hat with flaps for his ears. lol The wooly one he has doesn't pull down far enough over them.

Sorry to hear your dad is so agitated Fiona. I hope the hospital can give him something to calm him down a bit so he isn't wearing himself out so much. It must be very difficult seeing him like this, but at least he is safer where he is as they can keep an eye on him.

Went shopping earlish and OH rang me while I was in Bideford High St. He told me to come home straight away. I took no notice and told him I would do a quick shop at Morr*son's and get back as soon as I could. I got told off when I arrived home as when I got to Stibb Cross, which is about 6 miles from home, there was snow everywhere!!!!!!! Quite thick and there was a line of snow in the road each side. He blew his top when I got in!! He said he kept thinking should he come and find me!!

Still I suppose it shows he cares..................Ahh.

We have about an inch and a half to 2 inches and it is thicker in some parts than others. I did take a pic out of the kitchen window when I arrived home and a couple out of the back door. Hav'nt downloaded them yet.

I'm off for a bath & my book to relax , on my own now daughter no 2 and boyfriend went home before it got too cold.

I think its freezing now outside ,i can see the sparkle on top of the snow ,looks just like glitter spread over it !!

Just finished Dinner.I have sneaked away from the table to watch the JUNGLE.Hopefully Chris will sort the dishes!!!!!!!!!!

MORNING ON THIS WHITE DAY,

Still have the snow and we did'nt get anymore. It thawed a bit last night as the patio is now clear but the fields look beautifull and the sun is shining too.

It is white here now.Thick flakes just now but I think it has stopped now.I am going to get to Tes** now (hopefully there will be food on the shelves) it was apparently crazy there yesterday.
