Morning Mel Morning Mandy 9.30am
oooo it's cold , had a few fluttering of snow but it didn't come to anything. Not going out today, want to get all the ironing out the way so the back bedroom is clear for OH to bring the xmas decorations down from the loft next week. OH says my decorations sort of just appear over the first week of December , I clean and dust each surface then start puting out the christmas orniments and candles as the week goes on and then OH puts the tree (real one) up about the 18th December. then we turn the radiator of in the living room and just use the fire or the tree will have dropped before christmas even comes. Coffee time BBL

Morning Everyone. There is a real bite in the air this morning. My face is still cold from the walk.It was lovely and sunny then but now it is weird looking.Maybe it is full of snow!!!!. Frank we are only going to Stanmore Middlesex off the M1 for the wedding. So we should be fine.It looks like it will be a decent day on Sunday and then turn bad on Monday. I have lost my bird feeder. The squirrel brought his friend yesterday afternoon and demolised it lol.I think for the moment I will just stick to the fat cakes and fat balls. The Magpies are as bad as the squirrels. Off to get a coffee to warm up a bit.BBL

Oh David. I'm glad I'm not living in The North East of England now ,I remember as a child the bitterly cold winds coming of the sea as I walked along the promanard, mind you I would drather have cold wind sometimes than the wet wet rain that we have in Scotland it seems to sink into your bones on a cold miserable gray day. fortunatly it's still bright & sunny but cold here. I hope we are not in for another winter like last year we had -11 some nights.
Out for dinner tonight, at one of out Local attractions. called Chatelherault Lodge, it is a big tourist place in lovely woods , has a resturant and craft shop. so after dinner I can go round and visit the shop and craft stalls, I'm hopeing to pick up a few Christmas pressies. Back to housework

Hi Everyone,
We didn't get up till about 10.00am.........I was still awake at 3.00am. My bodyclock seems to be all out of tune. I used to be up at about 7.00am when OH was at work. Now I can't get to sleep at night or get up in the morning!! lol
We did some house jobs this morning then went to a nearby garden centre and bought one of those globes with snowflakes in I loved as a child. This one just had a nice Chaffinch in the middle. It's sitting next to the glass parrot in the hall at the moment. While we were looking at the decorations I saw a little Robin ornament on skates sat in snow as it had slipped down. Silly me getting my words wrong as usual meant to say to OH, 'look it's doing the splits' only it came out 'look it's doing the splats' !!!!!! Oh's face was a picture, memories of that cow came back I think, couldn't stop laughing and ended up wiping his eyes with his hanky. He says I'm 'priceless'
Hope Chester is ok again now Jane after the trouble with his legs. We noticed the biting cold when we set off for home. We were going for a walk after, but decided it had got too cold. Brrrr.

I hope it doesn't reach -11 round here Fiona, that is seriously cold!! I remember feeling frozen at - 8 when I got a lift with OH once to go around the shops at Stoke-on-Trent. I could feel my lungs chilling as I breathed and had to keep on the move from shop to shop.
Any more snow Amanda? We just had frost this morning and a very gray sky.
While we were driving around today I spotted the number plate my old doctor from the 70s had and took a pic. I doubt it would be on his car now as he would be near retirement then, but it is nice someone local has it. I will send it on......you will see how appropriate it was for a doctor!!! lol

Lovely here today I went for a walk and got lost did not know where I was the road I take normally was closed. Poor Jasper and Teddie were getting fed up and sitting on each other to keep warm I went a mile out of my way before I found a road to head home down I was froze. I came in just in time to watch Roger Federer and Sodling play tennis Rog won .My feet were crinkled due to the cold and I had to put them in hot water which Jasper was drinking but did not like the taste of the foot lotion.Alpine Spruce and mint.
Thank you Mel for your nice message to Jessica will tell her what you said it may help her to feel better I think she is very sad with it coming up to Christmas if Mat had been here she would have been so happy.
April phoned me today and said Nannie you forgot to send Rashers a birthday card so I sent him a MOON pig card . I felt silly putting in the details happy birthday Rashers however did send Mel a moon pig card and forgot to sign it.. The things you do for granchildren. I asked April what do you want for Christmas and she said a coller for Sheep her pet one and now uncle Brins bought her a beautiful pony called Princess after Princess Katie Price or Jordans daughter it is a male horse. But another animal to take care of by Ryan and uncle Brin. David must be cold. I love the winter I can put our gas fire on which is coal effect and love to cuddle On the sofa with Teddy. The only thing Jasper does is pull my socks and makes growling noises have tried cuddling him and he hates it. But outside and lost today I was feeling really ill.

I bet April is happy now that Rashers has his Birthday Card lol.It will be a difficult Xmas for Jess and April without Matt, but I just hope Jess can stay healthy .She has another little person to think of now as well as April. It sounds as though she has people keeping an eye on things which is really good. Is April able to ride the new Pony? Must go now for a while .

Evening all, What is it with us old 'uns, I often lay awake till 2/3am or wake up a 5/6am It's horrible, you just keep turning over and look at the clock. When I last spoke to the Doctor about it he said "get up and make a cup of tea" then settle down again. No chance, if I did that I would never get back to sleep.
Haven't been out today, apart from cleaning the windows,I did the outside while Ros did inside. All done now till after Christmas. sorted out the chickens The water was frozen.. But with all the bubble wrap around their indoor run, they have somewhere to get out of the cold and wind. Better them than me.!!!!
Ros, has had a pointsetter (Is that right) since last Christmas, It's now decided to give up the Ghost, and started to loose it's leaves, and die. She will have to get a new one for this year. MORE MONEY !!!! JOKE,!!!!
I see the forcast isn't good for the next week. Look out Jane. It might catch you out !!!! How things down your way Liz and Mel.???

Poinsettia ( I think) Frank.I only ever had one that lasted a year. When I buy one I always make sure it is covered up completely to get it home. I won't be going anywhere tomorrow other than taking limpy dog for a short walk.I have to stay in for parcels.
Ann Love that Number Plate!!!
