Afternoon All,

Hardly a firework around here last night too, but quite smoky.

Belated happy birthday to MR MEL !! Hope he had a nice day. You beat me to it Mandy with the cake.......I had copied it as well. lol, lol Very good isn't it, Sounds like you had a nice evening.........poor Toby, I could just picture him, just like me when I have to go in some bushes, looking all around in a panic! I recorded that Turn Back Time programme too, it is very good.

We watched a fascinating programme we had recorded about birds and feeding them last night. I don't know if anyone else saw it, but it was full of interesting facts like the feeding of wild birds didn't really happen before victorian times and during WW1 was legally banned as it was considered wasteful of food. I never realised collared doves only arrived here in the 50s. I think there are 2 more programmes to follow.

Well done FRANK!!!! It looks very nice along your canal. I suppose you see quite a few boats along there. There'll be no stopping you now, but watch your footing. I have a habit of walking while peering through the camera.....not a good idea!!

Thanks for the photo's Frank ,what a lovely walk that must be ,looked a nice sunny day when you went with all the autumn colours on the trees .
Would be nice in the summer too ,just sitting watching the boats go by .

Ann, i copied the cake the other day , i thought it was good too.

The programme was good ,liked the bit were they went to the pub and burnt the pork pies !! the bread looked better once they were given the white flour ,looking forward to the next one .

Lovely clear sky here ,but quite nippy out there now

I saw that program too. I did mentionit on the thread.

Frank where are my photos please????????????

Been cleaning out the draws of mums dressing table and OH has glossed the window sills and skirting boards and door backings to the wardrobes. We thought we had a new tin of white paint but it turned out to be called Linen white. We tried it on the sills and it did'nt look too bad so he has used that. Saved going back out to Barnstaple for another tin.

Evening all
I was not in the mood for church this morning, so went for a walk OH thinks it's about 5 miles around our local Park, acutally it's a loch, STRATHCLYDE PARK. , The weather was lovely, bright and cold and occasionally windy but we were well wraped up. lots of walkers out and runners and people on Bikes and a lot of people with dogs, enjoyed the walk but I was very tired and my legs ached by the time we got back to the car.
took a few photos will e-mail them.
Frank your photo's were lovely , the trees looked great and so peaceful down by the canal.

I had a run out to Blyth this morning to visit the launderette while Ellen was cooking.
From there I went to Guidepost to buy some newspapers and a lof and a bottle of milk.
(Guidepost is between Bedlington and Ashington)

While I was shopping in one shop 2 youths stabbed a man to death in the nearby Co-op

Several police in attendance almost immediadley.
The whole area cordoned off.

Driving home a car and van collided on a bend in the road ahead me at the rear of Plessey Woods.

Fiona

Fiona Report 7 Nov 2010 21:50

What a horrible thing to happen David. Glad you were not in the same shop as the stabing and not envolved in the road accident,

Having problems with sending my e-mail of my walk will try again tomorrow.

I am off to bed now , OH will be up early as he is catching a flight to Geneva tomorrow he will be there for 2 nights,
