M O R N I N G Where are you all, I didn't come on last night. I had a bit of a TEMPER MOOD, flew off the handle, and was in bed, with my book by 8.30pm. Woke at 6am with the shakes, which I still have, When I upset myself, it seems to last a couple of days !!!

I managed to get an appointment for Dec 2nd for Ros, at a newish Hospital in Rothwell, Nr Kettering. I believe it's a private one that takes NHS. anyway it's six weeks quicker than Northampton. Thanks for that Maureen.

Jane

Jane Report 30 Oct 2010 10:44

Is it safe to speak to you then this morning Frank?????? lololol.Hope you get rid of those shakes.Maybe you were stressed and worried about Ros and worn out from having Lewis for half term.

It is a lovely morning .Bright and Sunny.Chris has plans for the garden, but I'm not sure what.I have just sorted out some clothes and a massive pile of books I want to go to the Cransley Hospice,so will pile them in the boot and go and pop them in their collection bin.

Hannah says the only bit that looks too orange this morning are her toes.So I think I must have sprayed the rest of her ok.She said she will have a good scrub on the toes and they should be fine.
See you all a little later.

Have just used my rotary mower to pick up all the leaves on back lawn, Sey the height up a notch and used it like a vacum. Worked well got 4 bags of leaves off.

Bar Humbug to you Jane, Don't start on me or else.!!!!
No I do get a build up of stress, and I suppose it has to come out. Poor Ros.
We get on average 6/8 charity bags through the door every week. If we were to fill them we wouldn't have anything to wear.!!!!

Certainly a nice Autumn morning out there, sun not warm but pleasent, only the slightest of breeze. Might go for a walk later, get from under her feet, for an hour.

Hope you are feeling a bit better now Frank and that the shakes are going. Good idea having an early night with a book......a good rest, if you can get it works wonders. Much better getting that earlier appointment for Ros .........good Maureen mentioned that. I am off for a walk soon......OH is at a match at Nuneaton today......he's just fetched the mousetrap out of the loft........second mouse this week.

I bet Hannah was checking her tan as soon as her eyes opened this morning Jane!! Glad it worked ok.

I need to have a sort out, things are jammed together in my wardrobe.

I watched the second programme about comparisons in seeking work in 1910 and now last night. People really don't know how lucky they are these days. Made me feel very humble and lucky.

Mel must be weary after yesterday so hope she had a good sleep.

This is just to let you know Jane after my message on the thread about elder daughters baby unfortunately shes lost it and unless she is prepared to lie in bed for nine months I do not think she will be able have another. Her age was the
problem. I have had a huge form to fill in for my hospital appointment Tuesday just trying to be positive.

I am glad that Ros is going to get an appointment early Frank would like to know if you got the book titles although it is proberly the last thing on your mind then I do not have to worry was reading about the people taking away toilet seats for firewood today in one of the Eastend books.
Always wondered why all the seats were missing at school and the teachers were nicking them for firewood.

Big marches and things in Birmingham for Poppy day trying to convince younsters to buy them for what our guys and others did during the wars. Some asian guy wants them stopped but he should remember a lot of asians and more nationalities fought also in the war. I shall buy a poppy always have done.
Have a nice week end all.

Afternoon all,

Lovely and sunny here today ,i'am sitting here with the back door open !!!!

You must have done a good job with the tanning spray Jane if its only the toes that are really orange ,is that where it ran down !! lol

Frank you shouldn't get your self worked up like that ....deep breath count to ten !! i think some times it needs to come out ,we hold things back and then some thing just triggers it off and we erupt !! i used to get really worked up at things and would shake with temper when i was younger .

Ann, how can you sleep with mice in the house !!! i'd have to move out until they were all caught lol

Sorry to hear your daughter has lost her baby Sheila .

Well hubby has turned the television on for the Darts ...and fallen fast asleep !!!

I'am off to do some cross stitch .

Sheila,I'm so sorry that your daughter lost the baby.I hope she is ok.Good luck to you too for Tuesday.I'm sure everything will be fine.

Now,Mandy I must tell you about my friend Sue and her RATS.She has had a problem for several years with rats getting in her house.A couple of months ago her electrics started playing up and she could not use any plugs. To cut a very long story short ,she has had to shell out £3,000 to get the problem sorted!!!!!.No insurance covered vermin. The little blighters had chewed through the wires under the floorboards and they were basically living in behind her skirting boards !!.I remember when I stayed with her about 2 years ago I could hear the scuttling noise.(just got goose bumps)I will feel happy to go and stay with her again now lol

I went to Tes** earlier...................it was crazy .All the staff dressed up for Halloween ,stilt walkers looking like vampires ,face painting for the children.
I couldn't get away fast enough lol

I hope Mel is ok .I'm sure we will hear from her soon.

AMANDA just going to see daughter ,men my husband always does that he once argued to get a cowboy on the tv and fell asleep watching it.

What are you cross stitching at the moment Amanda
Oh mice we get them often once had some in our crisps
and they ate half of them little horrors. I was sat one night in the lounge looked down and there was this cute little mouse looking at me he looked like he had glasses on
I picked him up and put him outside .I dropped my cardigan over his head. I saw it dead a few days later and
would you believe it cried for him.

Anne I once had someone ask me if I was pregnant in the hairdressers but was much younger what a nice compliment you are attractive and look good but sometimes that kind of thing annoys me we are entitled to have a bit of stomach at our age and people do not miss anything do they. Going shopping now I have to go and get things for elder daughter she is in a right state.

Anybody would think it's SPRING. all the neighbours outside cleaning cars, and cutting grass. I must have shamed them into it.!!!!

No haven't received the list Shelia.

What's all this spray tan about Jane, I thought they only used it in the summer time !!!!

Found Rats down at the chickens a few months ago, got a load of poison down them, no sign of them now. Thank Go# Still no eggs, just wasting money feeding them, through the winter. I don't think I will replace them when anything happens to them.

Got into another good book last night by Sandra Brown, if you have heard of her. Written over 60 books.

MillymollyAmanda

MillymollyAmanda Report 30 Oct 2010 14:48

Ohhhh Jane , Rats !!!! makes me shudder just thinking about it .

I remember coming in our back gate several years ago now and there was a huge Rat sat on our lawn , i couldn't get in the door quick enough ,when i looked out the window it had gone, i kept the back door closed for ages after that in case one came in !!!

Sheila, i'am stitching my Christmas cards at the moment , but i have another piece of stitching that i'am working on , with would you believe it Mice on !!! its a Christmas scene with little mice sitting in front of the fire with their Christmas stockings hanging up round the mantle piece.

That's very sad news about your daughter Sheila, I do hope she will be okay, must be awful to experience a miscarriage. Don't know how old she is but I had my son at 40, he's still my baby, even though he's about 6ft. and covered in tatoos !!!!

Glad Ros has got an earlier appointment Frank, that's the good thing about this thread, we can help each other out. Ever since your cooking tip my roast potatoes are the talk of the family.

I always buy a poppy too, usually put a pound coin in, where would we be now without all those brave men and women.

There's a new programme coming on BBC1 on Tuesday called Turn Back Time, looks quite interesting. I enjoyed the Victorian House and the 40's House and the Victorian Farm.

Haven't looked at my e.mails for a couple of days, so will catch up on them although I should be upstairs sorting out the bedrooms.

Annx

Annx Report 30 Oct 2010 15:02

Sorry to hear your daughter lost her baby, Sheila, no wonder she is in a state.

The mice aren't in the house Mandy but you can hear them in the loft. OH's gt aunt told me how one ran over her face when she was in bed one night.........put me right off!!!! The bungalow has the garage built in and they squeeze under the door, climb the walls to the eaves and squeeze their way into the loft from there. We aught to try and close the gap under the garage door, but they could get in through the sides higher up if we did. I do wish OH didn't bring them to show me though......sweet little faces.....I feel awful!!!

Jane

Jane Report 30 Oct 2010 15:04

Girls these days Frank seem to want to look tanned.Don't ask me why lol I have no idea.It seems an awful lot of effort.I was looking at my face in the mirror the other morning (was a shock) I seem to have got my freckles back!!!!!
Although I think these days they are probably called age spots lolol

Touch wood I haven't seen a rat this year in the garden, although I am sure they will be about with the chickens next door. It's the rabbits at the moment. They are having the time of their life. There is an awful lot of rabbit fur around the lawn.I just hope it is what they have scratched out and it not falling out due to Myxymatosis.(sp)

When I was at Fitz's earlier ,his cat 'PODGE' came meowing up to us with a load of feathers stuck to his face...........He had just done a kill !!!

Fiona

Fiona Report 30 Oct 2010 15:06

Afternoon all
Sorry Sheila to read about your daughter lost her baby, hope all goes well for you at the hospital.

Glad the Tan went ok Jane, I only have had a false tan twice. and was done by hand from no 2 daughters friend who is a qualified beautician.
first time was a practice run wanted to see what it looked like, I was very happy with it so got it done again for daughter no 1 wedding. didn't want to look all white and washed out among all those Italian relatives. mind you it was in May so I wasn't compeating with a summer tan.

Been shopping today for Halloween treats, going to leave all the sorting out to daughter no 2. it's her Idea, last 2 years no one has called at our house on Halloween so I wasn't all that bothered, but daughter no 2 wants to arrange things this year just in case, she and her boyfriend will eat whats left over anyway.

Maureen

Maureen Report 30 Oct 2010 15:35

Good thing about having cats, NO MICE. I do have them in the shed though. I used to keep the rubbish sack there and as I was carrying it through to put out for collection a mouse jumped out and scurried behind the sofa. Coca didn't take long to find it. I have a photo somewhere, if I find it will show you. Quite often get dead ones on the patio, don't like them alive but they look quite sweet dead, just like Stuart Little.

In days gone by, women would avoid the sun and a tan at all costs, they didn't want to look like a surf. I think a tan is more attractive but haven't had a fake one ... yet ......

I'm having a good old laugh at all the jokes, but I really should be upstairs.

There might be a rainbow somewhere, the sun is out and it's pouring with rain.

Maureen

Maureen Report 30 Oct 2010 15:38

Damn, just looked out the back and there is a beautiful bright rainbow, went to take a photo and the battery is low. Hope it will still be there when camera is charged.
