Congratulations to your two daughters Sheila. Your family is going to grow very quickly!

Sorry to hear about another lump appearing. Do hope it is nothing to worry about.

I have sold my pumpkins I grew this year but still have four small ones on the plants even though there has been a hard frost. There again I may not have them as I have'nt been in the tunnel over the past few days. Too much to do.

Got a coat in Barnstaple this morning. For what it cost I hope I get good wear out of it. Nearly all the shops had the same styles of jackets. Sort of reefer types with big buttons. Think I am a bit old for that sort of thing and OH called them all Duffle Coats. Went into Banbury's in the end, very expensive but found a nice Windsmoor one in wool and cashmire.

Frank one at end of May and one in June both got to have scans worry for both ones over the age for childbirth and other one is like a rake hope she eats for two .

I used to read play out all day and play wars with little metal soldiers with my brother.

Next doors fence fell down and Jasper just went in the garden and he came flashing back must have done something and been kicked out of it.

Mel hello never grown pumpkins is it hard how do you keep them to get big well not as gardner wish I was,

I am being positive do not want to be gloomy on here
Your coat sounds lovely it all beige and browns this year beige is a very popular colour but it makes me look awful and today have a large spot on my nose looks like another nose is about to grow.

I hope I have those dates right the pair of them seemed a bit miffed about the arrival it was mum can you get this and that I am not any good at knitting either cannot see properly now. Wish I was a young potential grannie they will be pushing me around .But I am pleased

Pumkins are not hard to grow. They just need a good bit of fertilizer and plenty of water. If you want one big one wait till it has a couple on it that you know are growing and pick the end out two leaves past the fruit. Then any side shoots at two leaves also and this will feed the one fruit oe a couple if you want that but they will be smaller.

Shall we have a competition next year??? All grow one and then send the pics to one another??
