Oh Shirl, not a white padded van........you must be worn out after the last few days.....how about one of those flotation tanks where you float about on salty? water........supposed to be very relaxing. . Put some lavender on your pillow tonight if you have any. I think the ice house would be too scary.....it has bats in it!!! lol

I hope the doctor's advice about the pills for your mum works Mel. She won't want to eat if it makes her ill soon after. I hope you are looking after yourself too. How is your OH's muscle tear now......improving I hope. Can he hobble around?

Come on my old FRUIT, keep your chin up as you always do. So sorry to hear of all your woes, but I know from talking with you on SKYPE you seem to take it in your stride. Trust OG is keeping O.K.

Mel, I think I have a couple of those floppy plastic things, Never thought to put them on a solid tray before putting in the oven (If I had a brain I would be dangerous) Don't you start nodding your head Jane.!!!!!

I did a loverly Chicken casserole tonight, two quater breasts of chicken on the bone, plenty of onions, carrots, and tomatos from the greenhouse, with the skins off. Italian seasoning, sauce mix with a little added bist#. Broad beans, peas, cabbage. Bread and butter pudding for afters.

Ros is watching her HOLBY CITY. don't like the American Doctor, so won't watch it. I'm like that. I have to enjoy the Character,or I loose interest.
What a shame about Norman Wisdom. I loved his films in the 50s.
Will be watching 71 degrees North at 9pm. What they have to go through to get a good meal and a shower,
I thought I was hard done by living in Nissen Huts in the RAF. in the Winter the mist would lay about two foot of the floor and our bedding was soaked. How well we lived compared to these, and they do it for FUN.

Ros is off to the Physio. in the morning to try to sort out this trapped nerve in her HIP. She has pain stabbing down her left leg all the time. She takes more tablets than me at the moment. Good job we don't have to pay !!! But thats why we paid all our working life.

Catie, Trust you have sorted out your tenants, and that the children are all fine.

On that note lol I am just about to kick the dog out for his tiddles and then I will be away for the night (hopefully not a rude awakening at 5.30am again.)I have been very careful in what Chester has eaten today !!!!!
Night Night xx

I don't have a brain either Frank......I didn't put mine on a tray either!! LOL I got mine when they were in a sale at Sain*burys. I must say it saves a lot of faffing turning cakes out.....they just fall out and they are so easy to wash after. I have a loaf one and a round one.

Catie, why is it when you think you have just got something sorted problems all start. That sounded a brilliant idea to rent your house and now you must be worried about it on top of everything else you have on your plate. It may be better if they don't get back together.....you don't want saucepans to start flying in your house if the rows escalate.

A shame about Norman Wisdom, he was 95 wasn't he. I remember seeing him in Leicester when he was about 80.....immaculate in a light grey suit and looking and acting 20 years younger.

Did'nt Tony Curtis die last week?? I used to thing he was great. Such a handsome man in his youth. Must have been those blue eyes.

Hope Sophia is a bit better today Fiona. Poor little mite!!

My SIL has decided to come down on Friday for the weekend too stay in the caravan!! OH told her it was'nt really suitable but she is coming anyway. He has'nt been able to clean the orchard up and cut the grass with this blimmin leg. He did give it a rough cut before he hurt his leg but there is grass cuttings all over it, and apples off the trees!!

Morning All
Morning Mel. your poor OH must be fed up not been able to do his jobs, my OH hates it when he is not feeling all that great, and everyone else in the house gets to hear all the moans and groans.

we have a blue sky this morning no sun as yet and we have had a lot of rain , hope it stays of for the next hour as I am walking into town to meet up for my usual coffee get together,

yes your right Tony Curtis did die last week and I thought him smashing to Mel, Brown eyes in a man are my favourite OH has brown eyes they used to be really dark when I first met him , but now they are sort of a hazel colour,
daughter no 2 has brown eyes like her dad, I have green eyes like my mum had , and daughter no 1 has blue eyes like my dad.
well I need to do a few jobs before I go out, will be back after lunch.

Morning Everyone

Really murky here. Come on sun.....shine lol

Fiona.... Hope Sophia feels better today.

Frank... Hope physio brings some relief for Ros. No fun to be in such discomfort and those types of conditions seem to drag on too. Mum suffers from sciatica...seen her crawling on the floor, unable to get up. Very nasty.

Well the saga of our tenants carries on lol. After a lot of nagging my OH called the chap renting and asked to meet with him. Yesterday...all was revealed. Apparently the couple have only been together a few months. The chap had previously been in a relationship for 4 years and then the girl had left him. A couple of weeks ago she made contact, asking for his support. She suffers from anorexia and has all sorts of problems. The chap lent her some money.... his new girlfriend became upset.... There's a whole lot more too. Anyway, the new girlfriend has gone for good. The tenant apologised for everything and said he would buy the couple next door some flowers etc. My OH says the chap obviously still has feelings for the other girl...so no wonder there was upset. We just hope that will be the end of it lol

Sheila... if you are looking in....We are thinking of you all. This will be a very difficult day... Be strong.

Afternoon all,
Jane, I bet you look like one of those dogs in the back of cars. Head going 50 to the dozen. Screen has just gone full size.

Mel, will SIL be able to help with Mum ??? how long is she staying.????

Been to the physo. Lots of excersices to do. It appears that she has a thining of the space that the nerve goes through, hence the trapped nerve, Got to go back 20th for more treatment.and see how it is.

Catie, Hope the man who has your house, respects it.!!! Seems a decent sort buying flowers for neighbours. You will have to ring every now and then to see if alls O.K.

Rain here first thing, then sunshine, now clouds.

Jane

Jane Report 6 Oct 2010 15:44

Ooh what a to do Catie.I do hope it is all sorted now.I have only had one lot of people living in my house ,and that was Fitz ,his wife and 2 boys lol.We were away on holiday for a few weeks and they had had to leave their rented house but couldn't move into their new place until a certain date,so they all moved in here!!
Frank I hope the excercises help Ros and her back.Painful stuff!
Yes Frank I was like 'Churchill 'the nodding dog lol

Catie I think it is tomorrow Matts Funeral.

CatieI

CatieI Report 6 Oct 2010 15:57

SIL sounds very difficult Mel :(

Jane, I had thought Matt's funeral was tomorrow. We found the day before Nicky's funeral, really hard. Just thought that might be the case for Sheila and her family. It seemed such a long day...full of sadness and tension for the following day.

It's funny how Men and Women are so different. With the saga of the tenants, my concern was for the poor lady who had run off. My OH's only concern was of a practical nature..... Will the chap still pay the rent with only one income coming in. We will wait and see lol
Jane, it's a strange feeling having someone else in our house. My OH bought the place a few years ago and has rented it before.... So he's not bothered lol

The girls are at a birthday party. I'm told it has a 'cartoon' theme.
When BIL dropped them off at a leisure centre set up for kiddies parties, he was greeted by Winnie the Pooh lol. He said the girls faces were a picture when they caught sight of all the characters walking around. Wonder what they will eat and games they will play lol
