Lol Ann.... I phoned them.... and that is how I found out... seems they phoned to remind us, and spoke to... well, guess who? He didn't pass on the message, forgot.

I have told him that if it fails, he will have to find another way to get to Scarborough, and back.... because no way is he using my car, especially with Littlie in it, if it has no MOT! He is a bit shocked... and I took my keys from him, and told him he will have to ask to use it, in future, because I am tamping mad, feel like c**p anyway, and feel put-upon!!

Then had to give him them back so that he could go and do the weekly shop for me! *blushes*

I then phoned a company who promises next day delivery, and 12 days later still no sign of it.... they can only apologise, he said, but it hasn't been dispatched yet, and they are behind with Mother's Day stuff... so, as I pointed out... would I then be shunted to one side so Easter stuff could be on time? And what about Father's Day... oh, and by then it will be almost Christmas.... and what the stuff has Mother's Day, Easter etc have to do with dispatching a wormery and all the accoutrements? I only thought the last, incidentally, didn't actually say it....... what I did suggest though, was that a phone call or e-mail (I ordered on-line) would have been courteous, and excellent customer relations. Silence raises concerns over the professionalism of the company.... which is beginning to be recognised as a leader in it's field.

Bah Humbug... again!

Told you I had the grumps on me, lolol... must be the rain and the cold... still haven't been back to my bed..... but will go in a minute.... my parents would have been here by now, I'd have thought.... so I don't think they have remembered.... thankfully! The shoes haven't arrived, anyway..... but I wasn't expecting them until tomorrow.

I have a nice warming chilli con carne bubbling gently away on the cooker... I'll put it in the slow cooker in a mo, and they can help themselves as they want, later.

I am off in the garden to eat worms... if I can find any!!

Love

Daff xxxx

Lol Daff, stick to your guns (where did that saying come from?) and make him ask for the keys, otherwise he will get to thinking it is his car.
Would he have driven it all up there with his daughter in if it failed then? Surely not.

T is also waiting for a next day delivery (over a week so far which has not even been dispatched. and they have taken the money. he has told them, no delivery by Wednesday he is going to the c card company.

Grump away, it is a miserable day and we have just been to T**** so don't feel too cheerful myself. Just done a hatchet job on that first chapter too so I am all gloom and doom.

MrDaff Report 22 Mar 2010 15:21

I don't think he would have deliberately, to be honest with you... but he may well have done so, assuming I had got it sorted! It runs out on Thursday, so hopefully it will pass straight away.... as you said, we had lots of work done on it only a few months ago, so I can't see it being in need of too much... I have asked for the rear windscreen wiper to be sorted... he hadn't told me that wasn't working, either!

I have had a telephone consult with the gp re my new bp drug.... I would rather the lisinopril cough than the sweats the beta blocker causes.... they are almost constant, and so very uncomfortable. So I am changing pills, now.

The rain has stopped here, and the sun is poking it's head through the gaps... so hopefully I shall feel more cheerful soon, lol.

Rain has stopped here for the moment & the sun is out.

I think quite a few people have trouble with beta blockers. Hope the new ones are better for you.

Morning all... it looks lovely here at the moment.... I have two visits that I hate today.... hairdresser at 11 and physio at 1... so I shall treat myself to a shopping frenzy later, lol

The wormery has arrived... my last one is circular, and is a bit of a faff to be getting the lid off when my hands are playing up... but this is rectangular, and has a hinged lid, so is much easier. It is also bigger, so will hopefully sort more of the waste out. I shall set it all up later... must get on now, as I have to sort my comfy stuff out ready for the physio, before I go to the hairdressers.

Have a lovely day, everyone..... speak later!

MrDaff Report 23 Mar 2010 21:22

Evening all... a really grump filled day, saved only by a spendfest in Dunelm and the Range, lol Didn't get exactly what I wanted, but will play with it all tomorrow.... Ann, when do you zoom off on your holidays, exactly??

~~~~~ to Ginnie.... I would have to take out a second mortgage I think, if I went there.... I have bought stuff I really don't need as it is, today.... but then, you never know when it will come in handy, lolol! ;¬))
I have the car to get MOT'd tomorrow... the kitchen floor is still unwashed, and the hair in the living room is gathering momentum... plus Littlie will be here at the weekend, so I need to get her toys down, sort her room out, and get her a couple of new tops and trousers... she has dresses and skirts, which she loves to wear.
I have bought the cress for her to grow.... and she sang *row row row you doat dently town der thtream, merrleree merleree merleree* to me over the telephone earlier. Some of you will know that although she is bright as a button, she has been quite slow with her speech... but she then turned to mummy and informed her very clearly, they don't know granny's merrleree, so i singed it at nurserlee lol... It is the second verse where they have to be home for tea at four.... seems they are only doing the first at nursery, but Granny's made sure that Littlie is now able to sing the second verse to impress her class mates, lolol What a little star, lol
I am beginning to get excited.... she is such a doll, and a madam as well, lol I shall miss this when son goes to Hull to live, in September.
Well... must go and sit with hubby for an hour before bedtime.
Night Night.
Morning everyone,
I like looking in on here, it's such a nice friendly thread, quite a treat first thing in the morning.
Daff, I'm wondering if you have shares in Dunelm - and if not , why not!!!
Happy hols Ann, by the way.
We've just waved bye-bye to our gang of (family) visitors who got delayed here due to BA strikes, but are now safely on their way. What a fortnight!! I've had no time for the computer!! LOL
Have a nice day all.
lol Maz... my son has the tumble dryer and the washing machine full of his stuff... he puts it in ok, but then forgets about it... I don't allow it to be on after 8pm at night, as they are noisy with the telly on and hubby just getting in from work, and of course, son isn't around a great deal during the day, much of the time.
~~~~~~~ to Karen, send us some more of your sunshine, very pretty please, lolol We had a bit last week, but like Oliver.... I want some more, please!! No shares in Dunelm, but I do find it spooky (cue spooky music) that my family of haberdashers and seamstresses (who started off as Cornish tin miners, lol) owned the haberdashers that used to be in the shop that virtually backs on to Dunelm, lol... you see, it must be in the blood, I can blame my genes, lol

Glad your folks are now safely back on their way to Blighty.... and I do hope they get spoiled by the staff for the delay...

I have a long list of things not to do, today..... but as the car needs MOT, and son was awake all night, it looks like it is down to me. Oh well.

Must go and make a start... the washing is on, but last nights dishes are still in the sink.... we ate late and I couldn't be bothered, lol

Have a lovely day, everyone.... it is miserable here, but I shall still enjoy it.... I have new toys to play with, lolol

Love

Daff xxxx
