should be easy to know Whippet Lady if they are wrong. The marriage ones give their address and father name and study the witnesses as they are often family members.and the age of the married couple .unless you are unlucky and get FULL AGE written on it.

The birth one should give you the mothers name and maiden name so you should know those and where born how would you send for the certificates.

I hope you got the ones OK after that wait.

Regards Rita

Sue

Are your surnames different then not on your list before.? I am trying to find out why one family changed their names to the wifes and carried it on through their life. I think I have an idea as to why but am going to fiddle around and see if I can prove it.

Pauline
l think there is more in that I think the named changed because there was money and properties and the male line stopped so the womens husband changed his name to hers and then the male line carries on.

I know it happened once before to some poeple I know, and I feel sure this is what has happened but how to prove it ? I am near it but need more reseach.

Rita

Rita Report 10 Aug 2009 20:36

I am pleased to hear you know you have the correct one My sister sent for one of a death of our Great Grandfather but he was in a salavtion army home at the time of his death and I said to Sheila I cannot believe that his family ignored him and left him in a home. but I came across him at a wedding as a witness to one of the family so we checked he got married two days after we thought he had died. so I have the certiicate for this George Horwood and got the right one infact our Great Grandfather he died after 1911. we chuckle about it now. I advertised the certificate on a couple of board offered it free but no one came forward.

Morning All,

A really sunny day ..!!!

Going to Tavistock today to the market....fed up with staying in.

Hi Eeyore, nice to see you again, hope you get some results on UNI.

Rita as a matter of interest what is your reading of your blood test ,as my step mother is always going to the doc's for her tests as its up & down constantly.
Think she said it was 3.7 and it should be 2.something ?

Linda the dentist will not hurt you ,just make sure he gives you enough
anesthetic. I had one not long ago pulled and I did not feel a thing.
Its theTHOUGHT not the actual tooth extraction thats on your mind.
I will be thinking about you ......x

Blimey Sue if you do anymore to your tree ,you will be climbing IT !! LOL

Now where is SHELLY..? ....lazy bones gotta be in bed.

So that leaves Pauline ,MO, Lady have a nice day.

Off now for me bath.....~~~~~

The postman brought me a re-addressed letter this morning from Norfolk John who brought my Bungalow must have re-addressed it. I moved from there in 2003 so I was surprised it is from the Forwrd Press of Poetry. years ago I submitted a couple of poems to go into the childrens charitys. and they were selected and appeared in the" Nrfolk Book Of poetry" I got a letter telling me. this is to say it is there 21st year and would I like to send a poem. after all this time.
