Morning Uggers

I've only read one Thomas Hardy....Far from the Madding Crowd...and it bored the pants off me. I don't really get along with the classics. However, I did watch Tess last night cos I love dramatisations of the classics, and I quite enjoyed it.

Hi all - only just seen this thread so will give my twopennyworth!

I thought "Tess" last night was crap - the film was sooooooooooooo much better. It had better liven up otherwise I wont watch any more. Aint the girl got lots of spots?

Loved "Far from......." although Julie Christie was a bit "limp" for me but the blokes were excellent.

Love Hardy.

Under Milk Wood - a true masterpiece (but feel you have to "know" the accent to appreciate it fully)

Dont know about the other thread, didnt see it, but sounds like same old crap, over and over again.
