Maybe someone with 1911 access could look this one up.
I don't think Gillingham is all that far away?

Buy the marriage cert...............it will include his father's name........if he knew him

I would also suggest that his birthplace was BEARSTED.............

And the form was filled in by a 'witness' to E Hayward's mark

There is, however, no room for doubt about 'E's' surname....it is clearly recorded as Crouch
