Hi Lucia Archer Punter Private Service No 6604 Bedfordshire Regt 1914 Vol I.65 Page 12 Frederick James Church I could only find one death with that name recorded but in 1945.Do you have any more details on this man eg which service he was in and what was his rank. Regards Mary

Hi Dawn My lookup offer was for the death references of war casualties but I understand from your request that your husband's Grandfather only died a few years ago.I regret therefore that I am not able to help you with your request.Have you tried the National Archives site I believe they have info on war records. hi Mary I LOOKING FOR THE DEATH OF MY GRANDFATHER Fredrick Henry Parrott second world war i think From Cowley.Headington district Oxford(merchant navy???) died on a subarine??? so my mother tells me grateful of any help Many thanks Sandra

Hi Sandra I have searched the death lists on 1837online for Frederick Henry Parrott and cannot find a record of his death between 1939 and 1950 on Either Royal Navy lists or Marine death lists ( including Merchant Navy) Sorry Mary

Constance Can you take a look for WW1 servie record for Edmund Edward Charles McPherson. He married in 1909 aged 21 and lived in Pimlico. His spouse was Edith. He didn't use his first name very often so he could be under Edmund or Edward. Many Thanks Roy

Hi Mary Arthur Edward Hawkridge, he was 24 in 1901 and was a private in the Royal Marines stationed at that point in Devon. No-one knows what became of him beyond that but family rumour has it that he died in WW1, but he never married so there's never been anyone to verify that. Thanks Lou

Hi Constance Looking for my Great Uncles who were brothers: BOTH KILLED IN WW1 FRANK SPENCER BORN ACTON NANTWICH CHESHIRE C1891 GOT KILLED IN FRANCE SEPT 1915/1916 WAS SERVING WITH THE 1ST CHESHIRE REGIMENT WIFES NAME SARAH ELIZABETH ELLIS SPENCER BORN NANTWICH CHESHIRE C1881 HE GOT KILLED C1916 IN FRANCE WAS SERVING WITH THE AUSTRALIAN FORCES THEIR PARENTS NAMES WERE EDWIN AND ELIZABETH SPENCER OF BURLAND NANTWICH CHESHIRE Any help you could give me would be appreciated Regards Cheryl

Hi Poppy Fields I have found the reference for the death of Walter George Elvin Corporal in the RAC Died 1944 Volume 17 Page 137. No age was given but if you send for the death cert from GRO it should be on there. Regards Mary

Hi Peter The reference for the death of Wing/Cdr PA Kleboe 88440 21 Sqn is 1945 Vol 9 Page 50. You can get the certificate from GRO by quoting The Vol and Page numbers Regards Mary

Hi Cheryl I have found the references for both your Gt uncles killed in WW1 as follows: Frank Spencer Private Cheshire Reg Service No 9038 1915 Vol I.27 Page 14 and Ellis Spencer Gunner RFA Service No 63949 1916 Vol A.1 Page 228 Regards Mary

Hi Mary If I'm not to later please could you look for Henry Charles PALFREY born Bristol 1896. He was in the MGC in France I think a L Corporal in WW1. His coy no was 108364 The no on his medals was T2-13562.He died in France I think as he never came home. Many thanks. Jill

Hi Julie Found William H Fowler Private Sevice No 235590 1917 Volume I.26 Page 327.On the listing it gives his unit as Hertfordshire Regiment(may be a clerical error ,but the Service Number is correct so I am sure it is him. Regards Mary
